Great job with the analysis Tom! It's good to see someone who knows what they're doing use the software. Makes me want to upgrade from the free tier! Would love some more videos like this, and again awesome explanation Tom!
So 0.01/0.02 players ACTUALLY play GTO, but they don't know it yet! :D (I swear so many of them use 3x pot on flop, and aim at making poker a 2 street game.. because nobody got time for 3 streets of "are we good?" ) Also, AMAZING video and thank you for this perfect introduction to the GTOWizard tool. I am IN.
@@jlaux7 Lol yah, that too! W 5h5s, and with all the math studied and knowing odds and equities, what are we doing facing that (donk) jam :D Except wonder, about life.. and our choices..

Cool Video! One small suggestion - I think it would be useful to display the grids in STRATEGY + EV mode instead of just STRATEGY mode like you had in hand 2. Would be interesting to see the EV of making that 52s call.
Well I just have to say again, this is such an excellent video, really a masterclass in how to use the features of GTOWizard. Hope for more videos in this vein from Tombos21!
@11:29, what i find hard to understand is how solver picks QJs as a better bluffing candidate with a polarized range than Q2s. 2 blocks opponents defending range like (52). Would be great to hear your thoughts on this
Question, why would you rather see an ACE vs a Queen? I'm a beginner and I am starting to learn GTO. CutOff position opening preflop means his range is around AT+, KQ, or a small pocket pair or suited connectors if he plays a bit loose. Defending BB you have more range and I think you would rather see a Q than A, given that it will make you 2 pairs.
Because BB folds most QueenX on the flop, but calls all their AceX on the flop. Therefor, BB will have a lot of top pair on the turned ace. Always update your range assumptions after another bet has gone in!
Nice video and thank you!!! I do have to admit I find it hard to believe overpairs are profitable as shoves... seems like its too easy for opponents in the bb to wait for 2pair+ or combo draw hands and strait to make the call here.
It's certainly a funky spot that most humans won't find! Blind vs Blind both players' ranges are quite wide, so nutpeddling would forfeit too much EV by overfolding the rest of the range.
Loved the analysis. Been trying to learn how to really make use of GTOWizard for some time. With that said, in these hands, the solver has lost its AI mind lol. I just don't have the stones to make these calls.
at the moment they are locked (they are GTO strats for both players), but further down the pipeline GTO Wizard will introduce nodelocking features (as well as options for uploading your own sims)

Fascinating that 44 should be raising nearly 100% of the time on the turn. Makes sense in theory (raise all 4x and weak flush draws on turn) but in practice it seems too damn nutted
In first hand says J4 should be calling ~25% of the time on that river. How is that not an insta call 100%? This shit sometimes is so confusing that I’m glad I never fuck with solvers
It just doesn’t make theoretical sense to me to call A7s on river more often than J4 full house. You lose to 2 combos of QQ and he could be shoving a nut flush for value. I must be missing something?
@@michaelfosco2531 If you never fuck with solvers, what the fuck are you doing here? xD Look again, J4 is calling 100% freq on river Maybe you are confusing the fact that we have that hand in low frecuency when facing the river bet, because we often check raised it on flop or turn
@@gavilanu cause it popped on my UA-cam, doesn’t mean I’ve ever spent 1 minute doing my own research into spots. I see a green bar that represents ~25%, what am I missing then?
@@michaelfosco2531 Oh ok. I edited my comment with the info. The 25% means that we only have that hand in this spot in that frequency, because we often check raised it on flop or turn. Look at the other hands, they have some blue when they are folding, but J4 is always call.
I dont care what GTO says first hand is a fold 1000% against any human at least, 90% of the times they will have the nut flush on that spot, so with the price we get is a massive punt to call specially vs utg that has so many std A, is a call against a gto bot a for sure fold against 99% of humans that aint nearly as crazy as GTO finding this bluffs.
Hello, poker is a very complex game, and It's impossible to learn and remember all strategies. The way you need to approach studying is that you should focus on learning the principles. For example, you can learn how blockers work from this video and already implement it into your gameplay. Or pick some spot, for example, the most frequent one, BB vs. BTN SRP, open our aggregated reports, select rainbow flops and study the patterns. See on which boards you should be betting and on which you should be checking. Try to understand why. We have multiple tools to help you with that. You can see also from this video Toms approach. Studying poker is not about memorizing how to play a specific hand but about playing your whole range. Just yesterday, we started to post on our Instagram Daily dose of GTO. We will go over the fundamentals every day, so keep an eye on that, and we plan to release a lot more educational content entirely for free. I highly suggest joining our Discord, where we discuss topics like this every day (link is in the description).

Most likely this has to do with extra outs to top pair

Are the ranges customizable or standard? Can I input what I think villain range is or are the ranges locked for GTO?

why do we have more Aces in our range on bb than oponent?

Can starter accounts see turn reports

The hand is indifferent. It doesn't matter much since it's 0EV, these calls are simply designed to prevent the opponent from overbluffing.
