I agree as he was the one who left town and didn’t say anything. After they broke up the show just wasn’t the same anymore. I wish they kept him instead of having him do the spin-off show they ended up not being able to afford.

He was a beloved character whose presence added drama for the story in addition to making sense to still be there. The character being written off the show would feel contrived. Of course Rory’s going to run into her ex and first bf in their small town where everyone knows everyone.
if you notice when lorelai walks in and jess and rory nice away from each other when the camera is facing them they’re sitting shoulder to shoulder but when the camera is facing lorelai and behind their heads theyre sitting on opposite ends of the couch, it’s not a big deal i just love noticing things like this in shows :)
I do the same thing. Several takes apparently. This is a different scene, but when Richard joins Rory and her classmates for a business school project, they are sitting in a circle. Louise has her legs crossed. Each time she had a line, they are crossed opposite from before. In a matter of seconds. Must have been a long day. They are all good actors, but having 7 speaking parts in the scene is probably more challenging than it looks.

I know that it could be annoying but jess does have some justification. she cheated on Dean with him several times. Rory was extremely selfish when it came to her relationships especially with Dean/Jess.
yea but she had an affair with dean while he was married and then in the revival she and logan were both cheating on their partners. I loved GG when I was a kid, but her character was extremely flawed and I did not like how the writers consistently normalized cheating on the show.

Azeda Todd nah I think Dean was way too overprotective of Rory which could’ve driven her away to Jess, plus they had better chemistry and more in common. Dean threw a hissy fit when Rory was busy with extra curricular and getting into Harvard instead of spending all the time in the world with him which is why I and some others don’t like him.

Can't everyone see that Rory already lost feelings for Dean before he started getting possessive. The whole situation shows that Rory didn't like Dean enough and was ready to cheat on him. Dean knew it but held on because he liked Rory too much. If anything I only feel sorry for Dean because even if he was nice to Rory all along she would still have gotten bored of him. He was just acting out his frustration and hurt, and I think he's nice enough. Jess wasn't like that because he knew Rory liked him very much and he understood her more than Dean did.

Jess was much better for Rory than Dean was. Everytime something happened that dean didn’t know about , he would just yell at her. If the same thing happened with Jess , he would simply ask her to tell the truth and not get mad. Rory doesn’t tell Jess thing a lot of the time because she’s scared that he will react the way Dean would’ve. Dean got mad at her for somebody bringing food over for her. In my opinion, he should’ve been happy that Rory was eating and thanked Jess for making sure she got food instead he got mad at her.

I think she doesn’t want Rory to have the life she had to have. Growing up a teen mom is very difficult, strenuous thing. She knows that Rory has a very amazing future ahead of her and she wants her to achieve without having to care for a baby. if you notice when lorelai walks in and jess and rory nice away from each other when the camera is facing them they’re sitting shoulder to shoulder but when the camera is facing lorelai and behind their heads theyre sitting on opposite ends of the couch, it’s not a big deal i just love noticing things like this in shows :)

I do the same thing. Several takes apparently. This is a different scene, but when Richard joins Rory and her classmates for a business school project, they are sitting in a circle. Louise has her legs crossed. Each time she had a line, they are crossed opposite from before. In a matter of seconds. Must have been a long day. They are all good actors, but having 7 speaking parts in the scene is probably more challenging than it looks.

I know that it could be annoying but jess does have some justification. she cheated on Dean with him several times. Rory was extremely selfish when it came to her relationships especially with Dean/Jess.

Don’t hate on dean until you actually think about what Jess has done too.
Azeda Todd nah I think Dean was way too overprotective of Rory which could’ve driven her away to Jess, plus they had better chemistry and more in common. Dean threw a hissy fit when Rory was busy with extra curricular and getting into Harvard instead of spending all the time in the world with him which is why I and some others don’t like him.

Can't everyone see that Rory already lost feelings for Dean before he started getting possessive. The whole situation shows that Rory didn't like Dean enough and was ready to cheat on him. Dean knew it but held on because he liked Rory too much. If anything I only feel sorry for Dean because even if he was nice to Rory all along she would still have gotten bored of him. He was just acting out his frustration and hurt, and I think he's nice enough. Jess wasn't like that because he knew Rory liked him very much and he understood her more than Dean did.

Jess was much better for Rory than Dean was. Everytime something happened that dean didn’t know about , he would just yell at her. If the same thing happened with Jess , he would simply ask her to tell the truth and not get mad. Rory doesn’t tell Jess thing a lot of the time because she’s scared that he will react the way Dean would’ve. Dean got mad at her for somebody bringing food over for her. In my opinion, he should’ve been happy that Rory was eating and thanked Jess for making sure she got food instead he got mad at her.
rory and jess were meant for each other, it was just wrong timing, both were young and rory was coming out of her first love, while jess was troubled and still trying to find himself

I know right... also you hear Lorelei say several times in the series that if it were up to her, Rory would never have sex. And it's not the only series you see parents wishing their children would never have sex (mostly daughters though, you know, bcs they're so pure... 🤮). I mean what kind of mentality is that? Why wouldn't you want your children to experience something as fun and pleasurable and healthy as sex? Of course, teaching them to do it only if they want to, safely and so on but I really don't understand this.
Because accidents happen even with condoms..and girls have to drop out of school if they get pregnant..also here Rory and Jess have just gotten together and are yet to talk about birth control and other things..

Actually tbh i really liked rory and dean together and dean was a really nice boyfriend to rory . But rory was the one who always lied to him about jess suitation and Tristan suitation too and whenever rory and dean would fight dean was the one who came to her and said sorry and stuff and rory was never that sorry and into^ dean . Just to make jess and rory a thing the makers changed the deans roles so that people start hating him . My conclusion is that rory is not good enough for dean , jess or even logan she is so into herself and doesnot think about them the same way they do . No hate to any #team i love this show too :)
