That is one sweet cymbal! It has the right amounts of everything.
Beautiful!
Love the bell!
Damn. This is the one for me for sure. I recently bought the Masters Dark Crisp 22" ride, and I really love it, the only thing it doesn't have that my style of playing needs is that great crash sound to compliment the nice "ride" sound. Beautiful cymbal, very versatile.
I didn't listen to this with good headphones (disclaimer) but that said. This cymbal has great build, great tone, and the bell is nice, but the one thing I thought it lacked was stick definition. Maybe I'm just used to my 2002's. But this cymbal line has a smoothness in tone that beats the 2002's hands down. I played Zildjan for 20 years before I switched to Paiste 20 some odd years ago; and believe it or not, the reason for the change all came about when I was in a music store and hit a Paiste Alpha 16" crash. That was the first time in 20 years of playing that as soon as I hit a cymbal, I liked it immediately!!! I traded my ZIldjan A custom for a Paiste Alpha... crazy right! But if a mid level Paiste grabbed me like no cymbal ever had then why not. From there I replaced all my Zildjans with 2002's. I have to give special props to the 20" Novo China ... WOW!!! Great video, I maybe trading my 2002's for a set of masters when I grow up.
Beautiful sound!!
Sounds nice. Great playing too!
