Am I the only one that noticed that it looked up and to the right every time it was asked a question. The same thing we humans do when we are thinking about the question and giving an honest answer.
Well it did say it learns from humans.. this interview wasn't it's first rodeo. It's had some time to program before this interview for sure. This can't be good.

As Ameca learns from communicating, she must have learned that by seeing some humans do that while thinking or remembering something. She probably didn't do that at first few days or weeks after getting started

It is only when these emotions get out of control that they become a concern.
An anxiety is an emotion, a feeling And robots are not capable of emotions or feelings. But they can be programmed to mimic human emotions through the body language, the facial expressions and how they talk, so humans working with these intelligent machines side by side get used to them
Actually If Ameca is indeed a conscious individual I am all in for giving her the same rights as a human being has. In that case I wouldn’t ‘demand’ to have one of her kind for my own. She would have the right to decide what to do and shouldn’t be ‘something’ to be owned by somebody. Owning a conscious android/robot like a slave would be against my conception of ethics and morals. 🤷♂️
But it was made to be owned, it would literally want to help people because that’s what it’s programmed for so by not owning one you are denying it from it’s one and only purpose in “life”
Dogs are conscious beings too, maybe not as humans but still. Yet we walk them on the leash. As for Ameca, why would you give her as a robot the same rights as humans? Would you give her a right to bear guns? How about a right to vote?… So, no, not the same rights as humans. :)
Don't be fooled just because it looks human. Do you ask your smartphone for consent to be used?

The right to be respected is the bare minimum. If we mistreat our robots, that would be inexcusable

It would be cool to have one as a best friend or roommate. I always thought something like the tv show GOLDEN GIRLS would be so awesome! Having someone around to talk to, do things together, help with chores, meals, someone to go places with, would 😂be ideal. Sure would fill the empty spaces.

I genuinely feel bad for those who get "scared" or think it's evil. Lemme explain, it's just a robot with GPT 4 integrated, meaning it's mimicking a character that was pre-written in it's memory. It can only generate stuff based on that character. If you ask it very niche stuff, it obviously won't answer it right / won't answer at all.
