I don't think people are sending hate in your name. I think people genuinely don't like Freedo because he contradicts himself, speaks in a extremely condescending and dismissive manner, and doesn't actually respect the people on the other side of the argument. Reading those comments on that video, it has less to do with you and a lottt to do with how people just view Freedo in general
I just can't with this community anymore. I had to quit after season 10 when I realized that blizzard will never admit that they made the wrong choice.
Freedo says to never use a single 'outlier' as an example to prove a wider point. Then he IMMEDIATELY moves on to talk about a single streamer to prove a wider point. Oof.
the spilo debate was one of the best dialogues ive seen in overwatch, whereas every RECENT (past <1 year) freedo discussion ive seen he argues ENTIRELY in bad faith and with strawman arguments in a condescending tone.. idk what happened, i used to watch a ton of your overwatch, but not in a long time
Freedo deserves the hate for speaking for everyone else and saying the sentence "i like counter picking and i'm pretty sure a lot of people do too"

It's funny how Samito was called the "Ben Shapiro" of Overwatch. But thats literally Freedo. Homie has UNIRONICALLY argued he uses "logic and reason" and does nothing but gish gallop and riddle off "fallacies" like its a checklist.
Crazy how the more you listen to freedo the less he's making sense.
freedo is not a shill. that said, the guy wants a VERY different overwatch game than I do. I miss the team-comp-builder elements of 6v6. the RPG "my team has this comp" elements. Freedo hates that, but I love it. we just DISAGREE. it is what it is. but the man is not a shill. I just don't like his ideas, personally.
No one hated spilo for 5v5 debate. Freedo is just rude and uses personal attacks instead of talking about the issues. Implying you are dumb if you didn’t take college debate class is the worse argument I’ve seen.

So freedo called pro 6v6 people flat earthers but then claimed that 5v5 vs 6v6 was a false dichotomy that he didnt ask for?

Dude acknowledges you are an expert on the game, then claims he knows better. Doesn't call you his friend, but "kind of like his nephew". Ain't nobody should have time for his condescending bs. I did watch his video out of sheer curiosity. Gave me so much anxiety I had to play with my low bronze irl friends to shake it off, and laugh at the chaos.
Its not “Samitos 6v6 army” its the fact that so many people want 6v6 and Samito happens to be one of the first creators to actually shine some light on the subject. Freedo wants hero bans when most of the community want to be able to play whatever character they want without having to play counterwatch. In ranked, hero bans just become a way to target specific players to make them play something they don’t want too. Super tanks just means you get 90-95% of the bullshit thrown at you. It’s not fun. God forbid a Rein wants to pin someone without getting javelined in the face, hacked, or cass naded (sometimes all 3). Healers cant keep teammates alive anymore either. Dps can’t kill a tank without hard counters.
