Not Ken.... He's as tight as a pulled muscle not my cup of tea
@user-qo4hb4cr2i😊
Cheers.
Ronnie talked in such a humble way about his accomplishments in snooker. He may try to down play things a bit, but there is not one bit of doubt in my mind that he IS the GOAT!!! I am certainly hoping he can win one more world title and make one more 147 at The Crucible. Cheers Ronnie. 👍❤
I have watched him play for over 20 years and I can tell you that he changes his attitude daily. One day he’s humble, the next he’s arrogant. He has been awful in interviews and incredibly disrespectful (the china interview a number of years back). When he’s in a good mood, he’s very likeable but most of the time he’s difficult.
@@Correction294 so "you know"😅
He’s not humble when he asked what the 147 prize money is when he’s pitted one black. Or when he’s says the players now are no good, or when he shakes hands mid match, or when he has an excuse every time he loses instead of admitting he’s been beat, or when he says he just plays now to pay his kids school fees.
@@MrSmid888 I just said he spoke about things humbly and it was in this interview. I realize Ronnie's mood can swing from one extreme to the other very quickly, but such is The Rocket. I still like him very much and think he is the greatest player to ever hold a snooker cue.
@@MrSmid888 utter shite he's World no 1 ffs he plays cause he's still one of the best and 147 prize money is a joke nowadays so good on him.
Ronnie is an inspiration in so many ways. The fact he's so self reflective when he talks about his life is extraordinary, as well as being the greatest of all time, without doubt
Delusional if you think he was the greatest, he was good for 30% of his career. Stephen Hendry at his peak im talking 5 to 10 year peak playing in the same era as Ronnies 5 to 10 year peak Hendry dominates and OSullivan knows it!!!
@williammurphyslaw whatever even though Ronnie and to head and hendry may win a lot but his peak Ronnie was off the rail so hard say. Ronnie is goat to many for his longevity something hendry will never take away and Ronnie has all records bar tied on the worlds one
@@williammurphyslawhe throwing out whatever though that's your view and all hypothetical Ronnie has all bar 1 -2 records I know u may hate him but fact
@@williammurphyslaw I get what you're saying, I think even Ronnie refers to it here, he should have dominated an era, but on their best day, there is nobody in the world that could beat Ronnie. He is completely untouchable in terms of skill and talent.
What a great interview! No one that famous ever talks so openly about themselves! He’s the best ! And to have gone through so much makes his accomplishments all the more amazing
its the most relaxed ive ever seen him
Lovely interview, Ronny opening up is an amazing insight into the mental side of snooker. Nice that Ryan gave him the time to speak without to many interuptions. Sign of a good host.
What's so great about snooker, isn't just that it's a fabulous game, but also the personalities of the champions... Davis, Hendry, Ronnie, and all the rest... All just good, honest people, entertaining, engaging, funny, and super super talented.
You saying Higgins is honest as well
Absolutely brilliant interview. Really enjoyed that. Ronnie has been about my whole life. Feel honoured to have seen him play. Unreal talent.
No words can describe Ronnie, especially what he means to someone who's a fan since 16 ( I am now 40)
What a humble guy but the best snooker player ever, I really hope he wins another world championship it would be the icing on the cake.
Ronnie makes snooker so exciting! Which is an amazing achievement.
He makes snooker look easy most of the time.
He’s quite a shy man doesn’t like the limelight, just finished his book unbreakable. He’s a all round good egg and snooker genius even though he doesn’t say so himself
What a great guy. I watch him play and it's nothing but a joy and relaxing.
This was a superb interview with Ronnie and interesting to hear the other side of his life the ups and downs, it is always a pleasure to watch him play and have so much respect for him good luck Ronnie hope you continue to be successful and for you and your family good luck .. very enjoyable watch thanks.
I like the eloquence & direct questions from the host and the candour from Ronnie.
Because its Snooker he’s overlooked in the world of professional sport.
When it comes to natural talent, Ronnie possess an ability that is extremely rare indeed.
He is a genius. When he’s playing at his best it’s like watching an artist at work.
totally agree
He's my snooker 🎱 hero people don't like that he tells it how it is and that's why the likes of A. Carter don't like him well tough carter if you don't like it you know where the door is your muck anyways so just snap your cue because you'll never walk the 🚶 walk and you'll never talk the talk or be the goat like the one and only blink and you'll miss him the rocket 🚀 Ronnie O'SULLIVAN
An absolute genius dealing with way more than any person should ever have to deal with… and still became the greatest player of all time
What I love about Ron he never once mentions being 16-14 down to Selby and coming out playing 3 outrageous frames..
It's the greatest thing in sport.
Especially coz Selby was in form and 100% confident at the time
@@popeye4827 Yea absolutely agree..
Unlike Murphy who mentions hes triple crown every chance he gets..
That is one match I will remember for the rest of my life. Those last 3 frames were just incredible.
Mad how that wasn't even the best match played that day either
As I recall he had ludicrous amount of luck in at least one of them playing hit and hope shots.... Hardly any skill involved in that.
Funny how you don't mention 2014 wsc final when O'Sullivan had Selby on a plate for a third straight title and he blew it in a spectacular fashion... A match in which Selby didn't record a century until the last two frames of the match or so.
What an absolutely fantastic bloke he is. Love him!
Ronnie IS the greatest snooker player of all time!
His overall record is unmatched, more major titles than anyone else, highest number of century breaks (by a country mile) and maximum breaks, his incredible longevity, his phenomenal cueing and potting skills all done at blinding speed (right or left handed).
He’s an entertainer, has unbelievable charisma, and even though he’s done some forbidden things during his career, he is the absolute definition of a snooker genius!
No question about it, the majority of snooker fans all over the world watch the game mainly BECAUSE of Ronnie!
Agree someone told but didn't play peak hendrybif he did hendry smashes him but didn't want hear about longevity and Ronnie wasn't best of health then even hendry says it's Ronnie anyway both have respect for each other but some people talking crap hendry smashes Ronnie in peak maybe wins more than others vs him but Ronnie has more talent
Ronnie is a true star. Seems like you can have a proper laugh and banter with him if you just met out and about . Not many people famous or not can manage that
Great show. Good to see Ronnie O`Sullivan in this programme.
Great hearing Ronnie’s story.
For those interested: Stephen Hendry and Ronnie did a podcast/youtube vid together during covid. Fascinating to see how much they respect each other and a great insight into the so called 'elite mentality'.
I'm a Stephen Hendry fan down to my bones and always hated Ronnie. I was 10 when Hendry won his first title and he was my absolute hero! I disliked Ronnie so much because he was Hendry's nemesis and only player ever to really challenge him. I stumbled upon those two UA-cam videos between them during lockdown and was blown away. I'd always just assumed that they hated each other. It was fascinating to see that they are genuinely good friends now and hold nothing but huge respect and admiration for one another. It's amazing to see this from the two greatest players ever in the sport. I love that they both genuinely regard the other as being the greatest too.
A great champion fighting against all odds to rise and stay on top. Certainly an incredible achievement with a lot of blessings from the Cosmos.
Great to see the humble and pleasant side of Ronnie.
He is an enigma. He is undoubtedly the best player I have ever seen. I do like the way he always respects other players. He is a top bloke ❤
I can't tell you how much I love Snooker because of Ronnie, the technical, methodical approach and quite stoic nature of his game is awesome. Not putting him on a pedestal, I have 4 or 5 other favorites with their own styles. SNOOKER IS THE KING OF BILLIARDS.
Who can ever forget “whats the price of a maxi? “
"It's nothing". "What do you mean nothing"? 😅
Vs mark king😆 yeh, pure genius
What a great interview
"Can we talk about that for a while?" is a question that more interviewers should ask, instead of thinking that they have a right to be invasive.
He is a zen master, any player who ask what the 147 prize is on the 2nd red and then has a perfect game is pure legend.
If anyone deserves a Knighthood for achievement at sport it is Ronnie O'Sullivan.
He should be prime minister
Best snooker player ever and a cool dude with a great philosophy to life and the fact he said that about Stephen Hendry is astonishing really and while it will be true to some normally someone wouldn't say that as it could influence so many people. Out all players on there best day i dont know who would be the best
What a man, what a GOAT! Such a lovely fellow, indeed.
Love from Blink... I'm his nephew. ❤️
i played, like ronnie, to a high standard, mine was football, i played great, did well, not quite pro, but my father was there for every match, when he was not there, on a rare occasion, i coud not play for toffee.
i remember playing youth cup final, my father had to work, i had a nightmare game, we were 3.0 down half time, my father turned up for the second half, the manager told my father, thank god your here, sean having bad game, as soon as i saw my father, my game raised, heard him shouting, my game went to next level, we won 4.3,
Must be one of the few interviewers that can make Ronnie relaxed. Really nice watch.
I missed out on seeing Pink Floyd when they were playing gigs , now live in Australia and would love to Ronnie and a few of the lads do an exhibition tour here so we can enjoy the genius of this man , please Ronnie , come on down !
Ronnie is more of a snooker legend than Steve Davis or Stephen Hendry, even though he's won less than them. He is a snooker genius and no one would say that about Davis or Hendry. This guy is special. He brought something to the game never seen in the modern era, swapping from left to right hand whenever he wanted, doing insane shots no one else would dare try and pulling them off, doing a 147 in 4 mins 20 secs, almost running around the table to get it done in the fastest time... he has nerves of steel. If you asked any snooker fan that's 45+ years old (that has seen Davis and Hendry) who is the best they have ever seen - not a single one of them won't say... it's Ronnie O'Sullivan, hands down.
I think you'll find he's won a hell of a lot more than both of them.
@@ejoseph4278 I think he wrote his comment in 2001 and is only now posting it :)
Davis and Henry prevented Jimmy from winning or was it Jimmy himself?
Correction.. it was 5 min 08 sec officially tho😊..5 min 20 sec just the history of science the game
We need more down to earth people like Ronnie ,in this interview he’s so honest about his life and his work.I so enjoyed watching this thanks Ronnie. Hope you go on to win another world Snooker title in my opinion you deserve to 👍
Great interview. Great bloke. Great player.
Ronnie is my favourite snooker player of all time.
Great interviewer yields a great interview.
I love Ronnie ❤❤❤and I wish him 2 world championships win and 2 the Master so that will make Him the greatest ever for so long time🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Awwww sooooo sweet Ronnie…. We’ll go through difficult phase …. You have been an inspiration to all of us going through the same phase as a child.. much love and admiration ❤❤❤❤❤
Stephen Hendry was overrated.
Hendry crumbled as soon as he faced real competition. If your name wasn’t Jimmy white then you had a good chance. Literally 4 of his 7 world titles were against Jimmy White…. Then Nigel Bond and Peter Ebdon. Wow. World class opposition…. Not!
I used to be a support worker and met Ronnie's Dad in jail. He was a lovely dude and started telling me about how people end up in addiction. I said to him, "I am a an addiction specialist so you are telling granny how to suck eggs". He laughed...and so did I.
Ronne sou seu forte torcedor so que sou brasileiro moro no parana desejo muintas sorte nos seus lindos jogos de ❤
What makes Ronnie different from everyone else is the way he one his titles. Reardon dominated the 70s and Davis and Hendry the 80s and 90s respectively. Previously others had, had their glory and gradually drifted down the rankings. Ronnie was different in the amount of times he made comebacks. I'm convinced he still has at least another World title in him, maybe more than one. What an achievement it would be if he could win more titles. A truly amazing player.
More than one many more. 😅
Ive been a huge fan of ronnie's over the last 20 years now and it is the first time ive actually seen him in a interview speaking of his life's ups and down's he is humble and a genuine bloke may he go on in the snooker world win more titles or not but enjoy his passion for snooker for many years too come as he is and always will be the greatest snooker player of all times 🙏🙏👍👍🤘🤘🎱🎱🤟🤟👍👍many best wishes with the book ron..🙏🙏🙂🙂👍👍
Great to hear Ronnie talk about his battle with drugs
thank you Ronnie
Tubridy is shockin'.
I think what makes a person the GOAT is they are able to tackle issues, perform and beat records under the circumstances. I grew up watching davis and henry and they were great. The test is if both davis and henry had the same life experience as ronnie would they be successful? Vice versa if ronnie had Henry's or Davies lifestyle would he be more successful? Ronnie is a natural talent that snooker has ever seen and there is no denying.
That's silly, personal stuff that occurs off the table has no merit in the GOAT discussion when speaking about snooker specifically. Its all about on the table brilliance
The great player Ronni I like my dreams one day I meet this player God bless U from pakistan Alway s happy
To have accomplished what he has, is amazing. His talent saw him through. Greatest ever for me.
Pure legend.
In the argument for the best British sportsman of all time
Ronnie = ❤❤
He’s putting himself out there because people want to interview him.
the greatest sports person living .... a great
The greatest player ever 🎱
Ronnie O'Sullivan TBE
Good interviewer
The most "real" interview ive seen from him in 30 years.
Ronnie is the only player so far to have mastered every aspect of the game. There is no doubt that he is the best player ever. Ronnie at his best beats anyone to ever pick up a cue
John Higgins has also mastered every aspect, break building, clearing up while down, safety, brutal long drawn out tactical frames etc
Like footballers most snooker players are finished by their mid 30's so for Ronnie to still be up there shows how special he is. An 80% Ronnie is still good enough to win finals.
Good interview that
Such an open person and really the world's greatest player. Some people disrespect him because of some minor antics that have occurred, but I think those are just intolerant arse-holes. If people would listen to him and understand that he has some internal struggles (like everyone, andhe's had more than many), they should cut him and everyone else a bit of slack. No one's perfect.
He is a fascinating fella.
Ronnie is an absolute legend
Best ever for me.. great to watch
Ronnie you are the greatest of all time, there is no doubt about that.
The best ever!
Good lad him. Beautiful depth. Just like us. Yes. You and me.
And you and I.
Gotta love this guy!!!
Just after finished reading his book " Unbreakable " fascinating read , chaotic , self destructive , shy , humble & all round decent guy , suffered badly with mental health issues 😢 a flawed genius but Ronnie wouldnt see it that way
Helluva interviewer
legend
Ronnie's first book really helped me accept my own mental health problems and not to be ashamed 😊
Ronnie o Sullivan is the best snooker player EVER lived the most natural gifted player and a snooker brain which is more advanced then any player ever no one can break build like him he is just simply the best snooker player the will ever be the will never be a better player than him and no one will ever beat his maximum in 5minutes and 20 seconds ever
He's the greatest with 21 majors 39 ranking titles the most centuries and 147s keeping snooker relevant and on the front pages entertaining us for decades his longevity is legendary and will be his legacy his aura and pressance is unique nobody like him everything he does makes headlines for the sport
The mad 7 possibly cost him the 10 world championship titles.
Sir Ronnie is an enigma I kind of get his point
He's a likeable legend!
The greatest of all time
Great interview 🚀
Ronnie is the reason I watch snooker, the greatest because he’s a combination of Higgins, white and Hendry
There’s a screen play in there somewhere.
Love ronnie !!!!
"Meanwhile someone so love and passion with his sport..he actually didn't realized his got older and older.."it could be happening to Ronnie o Sullivan..please Ronnie i bagging u don't retire!!🙏🙏🙏
The Goat!!!
I clicked on this thinking Rowan Atkinson was out here doing interviews😂
I respect him even more what a story.
Ye can tell that Ryan has a passion for that interview
‘I’m not too bad’ 😂 Proceeds to beat everyone left handed with a soggy breadstick.
'I'm not the best ever but I'm up there'. Sorry Ronnie, you are. Even Hendry says so.
GO ON RONNIE!!
Great interview but I'd like to hear him talk about his Irish connection with North Cork I think it is...
I think that coach he referred to was Ray Reardon.
Ronnie O'Sullivan the GOAT had to take some time to consider whether to represent Ireland or England due to his Irish heritage. Dennis Taylor and Ronnie on the Doubles, there's a thought😅
Good lad
