Tomy PLARAIL Shinkansen Rail Yard

5 Tomy PLARAIL trains, all fitted with lights: N700 with sound, 700, 700, 300 and 300X. Unlike the real trains, the models only go in one direction, so need to be turned, as well as stored, in a rail yard at the end of the busy Shinkansen main line.

Some special editions do, for some trains you can buy extra coaches new, but mostly we have bought them on e-bay. NP

How did you fit the sound and lights?

Hi Becci, The N700 train (PLARAIL J-11) comes with sound. Some trains come with front lights, and you can buy the rear cars that light up when they move ( PLARAIL TP- series). For the rest we fit LEDs powered by 3 volt CR 2032 button batteries. NP

They are high speed trains. Just the toy version motors are slow.
