Dave is the greatest jazz talent ever to emerge from England.GOD SAVE THE KING OF JAZZ.
God this era Dave Holland is so fucking crispy. His chops are tremendous
@@hector5699 'chops' can mean a couple things, (like all jazz slang) but mostly refers to yer abilities on yer instrument, mostly physical. So endurance, technique, speed & aptitude all fall under 'chops'
It stems from trumpet players, who interface on thier instrument thru thier lips. It's similar to the broader colloquial term, "busting someone's chops" means to give someone a hard time, like a punch in the mouth.
This is some of the best jazz that exists
Jazz God!,,
Super beau !!! Je vais boire une bière sur ma terrasse en écoutant ce morceau de fou ! Dave Holland Quintet tous les membres BRAVO !!!!
my god, this is from another dimension
❤
One of my favorite Dave Holland videos! Billy Kilson kills. Robin & Chris Re the real Dynamic Duos! And Dave, Steve...........
I guess this is what The Justice League and the Marvel crew would sound like if they were musicians! OUTSTANDING!!!!
You can tell Dave is feeling it
I love jazz thanks xxx
Finally the entire video without interuption. I love Dave Holland, but that other video had him talking in the middle of Potter's solo. Thank you for posting this!!
Terrific teamwork from five really ace players
Brilliant set. Wish there was the full concert
Never heard Potter on alto before. Wow!
NIce sound, nice playing.
Yeeeeeeaaaaahhhh baby
if god were a bassist he would be dave holland
A shame ther are so few comments on an artist close to Miles and Trane
Crazy
what a nifty composition - as a total layman, can someone tell me if this is 10/4 or 5/4? besides the 4/4 parts with Chris going completely berserk as usual
heavily syncopated 4/4 mostly....but they going in and out of time
oops 5/4 yeah i didn't listen far enough haha, some 5/4 for sure
saxAphone !?

Robin rocks, too bad his brother is a punk as great as he is
