It's a terrible phrase! This whole thread reeks of ableist bullshit. "One of the worst aspects of disability is that people see it before they see you". Disabled people don't want sympathy. He's still Tim Curry FFS. I have to use a scooter as I can't walk far and the worst thing about it is people pointing it out and wanting to talk about how "handy and compact" it is. Like im not pointing out their legs so.....?
I saw the original play at the Roxy in Hollywood in 1974. There will never be another FranknFurter. Years later, I had the pleasure of waiting on him in 1993 at Tribeca Restaurant in Beverly Hills. It was a real moment in time for me. I'm glad the original lives on. I suspect it will forever. Remake? Nope. Only one.
Strokes are so damned devastating to the victim and their family. My g-aunt and g-uncle both had strokes and were bedridden for a year, not even knowing my father that they raised. Wish awareness and prevention were in the forefront.
I will ever only watch the original. The new cast just made a mockery of one of my all time favorites. There is only one Frank N Further and one Tim Curry. He will never be surpassed. He has some medical issues but is STILL Tim Curry. The intelligence and wit and warmth all still there.
At least she gave him human contact and looked him in the eye. My friend who uses a wheelchair says she misses people hugging her. Some people are so uncomfortable with disability.
Heartbreaking - the man deserves more dignity
'wheel chair bound'? there's no need to describe him like that 🙄

It's so sad to see Tim like this. He didn't deserve this at all.
Chantelle Adlington He is doing much better thankfully.
Nobody does
{} no.
I am literally crying right now. Why did it have to be Tim of all people? He looks so fragile, just a shell of what he once was.
Sarah Kinsey ain't gonna lie this hurt to see
He had a stroke

Tim Curry will always do the time warp again. 🙌🏻 Happy 73rd today. 😁
Ah it’s hard to watch Tim like this my grandma had strokes it really leaves the person with half of the personality they once had
The same happend to my grandpa, It was so sad to not have the same grumpy, loving old man again, miss him so much . A big hug for you and family.
Julia Luquin thank you very much you too :)
It depends on where the stroke occurred in the brain. People have said Curry’s mind is unchanged - it’s really the physical that was affected for him.

Tim was the only reason I watched the reboot.
This is so horrible to watch
Ok - that is one kick ass wheelchair though.
New Rocky horror was garbage plain and simple it original was not aboit singing pretty or looking fancy it was gritty and raw emotion
I cringed wen that girl rubbed his arm like he was sitting in a nursing home with purée dribbling out his mouth..
Me too!! Like he ain’t a kid - stop doing that soothing shit. Just treat him normal!!! Grrrrr
