@Fabio Restrepo muy interesante...

Kevin Spee they were not unknown territories, they killed and slaved everyone in their way to expand their empire.
Sounds like what the Europeans did in Africa, so Im using it as a standard : P
"Slowly explores" is the last word you should use to describe Incan expansion. They conquered most of the Andes in fifty years. That's actually incredibly fast.
They actually the Inca Empire would try in their best abilities to expand peacefully by diplomacy and royal marriage. If this option failed, then war would be used. This wars though were very brutal.
In the end, they were going to be always conquered one way or the other. But the Inca Empire would try to be peaceful with their conquered subjects. Not sure if they would enslave them.

culture inca had a cooperative society, I am Peruvian, Incas were very different from the Aztecs or Mayans. The Conquest of the Incas was diplomatic, those defeated in war joined the empire. Slavery did not exist, Incas had a system similar to the European Feudal, known as Mitimaes.

Jajajajja XD the nation of fire...
Now its the opposite loool
shield&sword peace yes
shield&sword peace Idiot, natives were killing themselves before the Europeans arrived, some of their civilizations even sacrificed humans.
Most natives that died when the Europeans arrived, died due to disease, you can still find natives in south america to this day, and alot of them mixed with Europeans.
If the Europeans didn't arrive they'd have killed themselves.
Europeans didn't force anyone to slavery either, that's why they would buy slaves from Africa to work in the Americas, meanwhile the natives were taught in missionary schools.
Many major towns in south america nowadays were built around those schools.
Europeans didn't steal as much resources from South America as you might think, many of those countries produce annually more than Europeans took their whole stay.
As soon as Europeans left their colonies it all went to shit because people would fight among themselves for the resources to this day. If they stayed in south america and kept developing those lands, it would probably be much better nowadays.
As soon as someone showed they didn't want to be enslaved, Europeans wouldn't even buy them as slaves.
Black people were slaves for a long time because they were obedient, until Europeans felt sorry for them they wouldn't even think of free will. Europeans were also the first to abolish slavery and the way they share technology has saved plenty of countries.
Unlike what you might think, most European conquest was done through trade and not military.
Investing in a country's economy to get power.
Or do you think small countries with a couple million people could take over the world with just military? Considering how outnumbered they were, how long it took to reload guns, ammount of people that actually left to "conquer" the colonies and how their supply lines could be ruined by a storm. It would be extremely expensive and a waste of resources since you could do it without getting your people killed.
shield&sword peace every known civilization has conquered. It is not unique to Europeans. Persian empire? The Ottoman Empire? Umayyads? Most Islamic caliphate? The Mongols, Japan, etc. Japan killed about 10 million, committing horrible atrocities. The Ottoman Empire committed multiple genocides. Genghis Khan is responsible for 40 million people’s deaths. Timur, responsible for for about 17 million deaths. The numbers are not exactly known in India, but they say the Muslims that controlled parts of India killed way more than 6million.
Also the Arab slave trade. About 17 million Africans enslaved by Arab Muslims. Europeans were the last to do slavery, and the first to end it.
I honestly was laughing my ass off the moment the music changed with the arrival of the Portuguese and the Spanish.

Unlucky Inca Empire, they only just started really expanding just in time to be completely taken over by European expansion.
The Incas fast expansion was a part of their downfall. It made it very easy for the Spanish to find allies because the Incans were hated by most other factions for being aggressive expansionists.
That happened with the Aztecs not the Incas.
that isn´t true at all. the inca empire was conquisted by 300 conquistadors and the other half of the inca empire (they were in a civil war in the moment when the spanishs comes)
JurzGarz
Paradox reference?
JurzGarz
Actually, this empire wouldn't last much longer. Years of tyrany, a civil war that killed ~100k people and the european sickness would destroy them by completely.

¡Todas las Guyanas deberían pertenecer a Brasil!
El Françès actualy no. French Guiana lost half of it’s territory to Brazil and the colony near Rio to Portugal.
During napoleon wars and with the portuguese crown now sattled at Rio as the portuguese empire, the brazilian colony army invaded French Gyana as retaliation.
The capital Cayene was invaded by some artillery division that until now it’s a historical division used by the brazilian army in cerimonials.
You can search for “ baterias cayene” on youtube, that’s it’s name.
French Guiana was held back to France along the treaty of napoleon surrender.
The brazilian state of Amapá is exactaly the half of Guiana that Brazil didn’t heald back.
Some decades after the brazilian independence, the French Guiana gov declared the anexation of Amapá. But the gov of Amapá with the few brazilian and a militia of farmers and merchants defeated the french army in Guiana again (that was small as well), a battle of about 1000 soldiers against 2000 soldiers, that small.
French Guyana lost half of it’s territory when Rio(Brazil) became the adm capital of the portuguese empire and the king’s royal city.
As a retaliation of the Napoleon invasion of PT, the brazilian colonial army invaded Cayene, the capital of FG.
Brazil has historical artilleries for every neighbor capital they raised theier flag allready.
The Cayene artillery.
The Assunção artillery.
The Montevideo artillery.
in the 60's a Brazilian President almost went to war to annex French Guyana but was deposed by the military before he could.

The diseases and civil wars helped the downfall...but the most important was the armory superiority
@LeJapanese OfTokyo Sadly, some people are taught that all the natives that were allied with the spanish conquistadores they hated the incas and wanted to kick out the horrible incas, and spanish were there as their allies and helped them to kick out the inca tyrans. They dont mention that most of these allies were actually fighting for one of the incas from one of the parties of the civil war, they dont realize that the conquistadores allied one of this parties and not the other way around. Many other things are said to justify the conquest of this "savage" people that were suffering from the bloody pagan incas.
Anyways, it is said that 90% of the people at the end of the conquest died from illneses in all the american continent, and it would be sad if the spread of the illneses were used as a form of a primitive biological warfare. I have read that english and spanish conquerors would give clothing to natives or other stuff that was contaminated to spread diseases, I dont know how truth is that, I guess the history will find out that sooner or later, if that would be the case it would be so sad, millions died

The Dutch colonies looked great, that will be really useful.
Ollie Bye Dutch Brazil was a wet dream
but no, latinamerica remained latin (almost)
using Trump's picture is an INSULT!!!.
people from Pernambuco (a state in Brazil) are very proud of the Dutch colonization. In Recife, for exemple, Maurits von Nassau (known in Brazil as Maurício de Nassau) is a pretty famous guy and a lot of streets and a university bears his name.
They were good in Brazil. But in Guiama/Suriname/Haiti french and dutch were fucking terrible. I dont dislike at all the iberian colonizations, they have a lot of good aspects. About dutch Brazil, yes they were good, I think Northeast Brazil would be like an more european and more advanced version of South Africa.

Algo me deja muchas dudas.

Chachapoya Culture (Warriors of the clouds) is missing, they settled in year 600 until Incas conquered them. Located, of course, in Peru between Andes and the forest.
A lot is missing from Caral to the Inca, and of these only a couple dozen or so are relatively surface level on the Spanish-speaking side of the web, now imagine how it is on the English side. Books would help but even then most info is in Spanish, for example, I only know a good English-language book about the Huari but there are several in Spanish. And the Huari/Wari are one of the most important pre-Inca cultures... Now imagine how it is for extremely understudied petty kingdoms that the Inca conquered, and I don't mean the likes of Cajamarca (Cuismancu Kingdom) but even more obscure ones like Yarowillka, Wankawillka, Chumbiwillka, Canchis, Sora, Ayawaka, Guamachuco, Konchuko, Collique, Yauyo, Canta/Atavillos, Wayllas... and a ton more, over 100 of these were conquered by the Inca. But if you go much further back in time there are also archaeological cultures that have been left off like roughly contemporaneous with Norte Chico (Caral-Supe) were the Sechin-Casma civilization, the Kotosh tradition, the Chinchorro culture, the Valdivia culture, the Mayo-Chinchipe...

I'm pretty sure that continents like South America and Africa were filled up with Nations just so it would be interesting to play as them. Like, if their goal was to make them useful I can say that they failed since most of the times natives are just freeland that you don't need to colonize

Inca empire:why do i hear boss fight theme
The main reason that this is one of my favorite videos on this channel is the music. If you pay attention to it, you will see that three songs are played, and each of them fits the time period very well:
- Pre-Columbian period: music is very soft and uneventful.
- European colonization period: music becomes significantly faster and more dramatic.
- Independence period: music is just as fast, but significantly less sinister.
You should start adding prominent/important cities to these. I think it would be really cool to see where the centers of power and capitals were over time.
