Lee Jun-fan, November 27, 1940 - July 20, 1973), commonly known as Bruce Lee, was a Hong Kong American actor, director, martial artist, martial arts instructor and philosopher. He was the founder of Jeet Kune Do, a martial arts philosophy drawing from different combat disciplines that is often credited with paving the way for modern mixed martial arts (MMA). Lee is considered by commentators, critics, media, and other martial artists to be the most influential martial artist of all time and a pop culture icon of the 20th century, who bridged the gap between East and West. He is credited with helping to change the way Asians were presented in American films.
He is noted for his roles in five feature-length martial arts films in the early 1970s: Lo Wei's The Big Boss (1971) and Fist of Fury (1972); Golden Harvest's Way of the Dragon (1972), directed and written by Lee; and Golden Harvest and Warner Brothers' Enter the Dragon (1973) and The Game of Death (1978), both directed by Robert Clouse. Lee became an iconic figure known throughout the world, particularly among the Chinese, based upon his portrayal of Chinese nationalism in his films and among Asian Americans for defying stereotypes associated with the emasculated Asian male. He trained in the art of Wing Chun and later combined his other influences from various sources into the spirit of his personal martial arts philosophy, which he dubbed Jeet Kune Do (The Way of the Intercepting Fist). Lee had residences in Hong Kong and Seattle.
Lee died on July 20, 1973, at the age of 32. There was no visible external injury; however, according to autopsy reports, Lee's brain had swollen considerably. The autopsy found Equagesic in his system. When the doctors announced Lee's death, it was officially ruled a "death by misadventure". Since his death, Lee has continued to be a prominent influence on modern combat sport, including judo, karate, mixed martial arts, and boxing. Time named Lee one of the 100 most important people of the 20th century.

I got really choked up because for Angela it's like seeing Bruce come back to life in front of her eyes and she basically is seeing him again since she last saw him in 1973. I mean she is real Bruce Lee history. Incredible. I think doing all this shows how much you and Hector love Bruce.

@@EricCarrJeetKunedo That's still good to have things from Jerry. As I've said to Charles before. Collecting to me also includes memories and experiences. So my past training of attending seminars with some of Bruce's original students too makes up part of my collection.

Wow, I have never seen a bust of Bruce, or of anyone for that matter, that is so true to the original person. I have seen some awful busts but this one is so true of what Bruce looked like. It almost looks like a real Bruce, instead of a bust. It is incredible, the amount of detail put into this. Has Linda and Shannon seen this? I would love to see their reactions. It would probably bring tears to their eyes as that is the way they remember their husband/father 50 years ago. If you have the video of their reactions, please post so we can all see. Wow! What a wonderful episode to start the New Year with. Angela looked genuinely moved by the likeness. It truly is a superb piece and the ultimate collectable. As I wrote before on Hector's channel. The only way they could make it better is to install some sort of animaltronics with interactive AI software so he could move, talk and respond to you. Norman Bourine done the same thing as he unveiled a torso bust with a blue jacket and JKD medallion, as shown in his book. And he too was very proud of it. Great show.😁👍✌🐉

Great episode my friends. When I first saw pictures of the final product I was disappointed. I love the prototype. But after seeing yours it looks great. Hector said you can't do it justice with photos. I completely agree with him. Congratulations on getting it. I thought about getting one. I have the money but customs and shipping would be ridiculous. Plus I haven't got the space for it and I would be scared of deterioration over time due to it being made of silicone. Our climate here is forever changing which would probably ruin it. Was great to see Miss Mao authenticating Bruce's likeness! Have a great weekend my friend. 👍👍🙏🙏🙏😁

Very cool. A couple months ago I went to the restaurant to meet Angela Mao and have my Eureka blu-ray set of hers signed. She was really busy but once the lunch rush died down, she popped by our table and signed and took a photo with me. Good food there too!

Ever since the COVID, I've seen Angela Mao with her Mask on always. But this time she took it off temporarily just to pose with the statue. I think it was because she was so awestruck by the statue that she needed to remove her mask to catch her breath, huh, Charles.👍

I have been collecting Bruce Lee collector figures for 18 years now. but they are hard to find here or they are sold out. but I already have 7 of him and 2 more coming up. I have 2 from blitzway, 3 hot toys, 2 enterbay. but soon star ace will release one from the way of the dragon. I'm still in my renovations, but once everything is in order, they will certainly have a place in the living room

That bust is an incredibly life-like superior work of art. I wonder if there are several life-like sculptures of Bruce from the different stages of his life. They would be epic in a Bruce Lee Memorial museum. If it hasn't been thought of already, Angela should have her palms immortalized in a cement plate with her signature for preservation of her likeliness.
