Perpendicular current on the beach? What is causing the current?

Typically swell direction along with beach structure (new formations of sand etc). There’s always numerous swells from numerous different directions hitting the beach and sometimes one is more powerful than the rest, resulting in a general southern or northern current. This is completely separate from a rip current.

@@Tepix25 no advice there other than to fish from the surf😂. Sharking from piers doesn’t ever end well for the fish so I stay away from it.

The meat is a standard white fish meat. Tasty but only worth it if the fish is over 18 inches and chunky. Anything smaller is a waste.
