- Islamabad was planned as a low-density
administrative city. Curiously, a Greek
architect C. A. Doxiadis, was hired for the
purpose. He operated as a development
consultant more than an architect.
Doxiadis planned Islamabad on a grid-iron pattern. The fundamental grid of 2000 x
2000 meters divides the city into 84 sectors, the other is the ‘natural’ grid created by ravines flowing through the entire site area.
Each sector has five sub-sectors - four residential and one commercial (Markaz), which is encircled by auto routes with pedestrian networks within the sector.
Each of the sector would be low slung and basically comprised of single-family homes on an American suburban model.

You are moving around in an old village Golra in the Capital territory of Islamabad. Most of the construction is ill planned in Golra area. you are not showing the true picture of Islamabad.Unauthorised construction and poor condition of cleanliness is because most of the area does not fall in the jurisdiction of Capital Development Authority of Islamabad.
Truly speaking some parts of Islamabad do look like this, wouldn’t say it’s an untrue picture

You shown us the most unplanned area of E-11 (in beginning). Poor sewerage system. No channels for waste water in any street. One can see water on roads and streets every time. Broken streets, roads & speed breakers. Specialized type of electric wiring 😉. Car parking facility in few buildings. Majority of vehicles standing outside homes (blocking road all time). Closely built tall buildings in very small area. Some badly constructed. People complains about seepage & leakage 'Ooper walay ka bath room or neechay walay ka drawing room'. Property dealers of the area are top liars of Pakistan "Oh sir may ne aap ko heera makan dhoond ke diya hay, Gas? full presure jee, Bijli? 24 ghantay jee, Pani? Koi masla nahi sir, Parking? Jaga boht sir.
