I appreciate the spoiler warning on a 27 year old movie, was just getting ready to watch it right after I beat Doom with only keyboard controls and watch "The lost world: Jurassic Park"
There's something about your delivery and timing that keeps me coming back to your videos, love that it doesn't matter if you enjoyed the movie or thought it was complete shit, you roast it all the same while adding enough comedy to make elevate your content into something much more than simple recaps.
I agree, this is a grand romp. The premise works really well. The suspense is nicely developed. The characters are engaging and watchable. There isn't some evil corporation cliché pulling the strings. Yes, this is a good film. Is it great... er. Is it a classic... er. Did I enjoy it? Damn right I did. Nice one, thank you for this review. Bloody lovely.
Friggin love this movie. It was part of a clone war in the 90s (Armageddon vs Deep Impact... Dante's Peak vs Volcano... Braveheart vs Rob Roy etc etc) and went against The Relic. I remember seeing The Relic first and was let down, so I rented Mimic and loved it. Mira Sorvino is also amazing.
Always will love the movie Mimic, but it'll forever get grief from me for how mentally underdeveloped the scientists and scientist's lover dude are. Also, I really hope you put out a video on Christmas, too. Because that'd be the absolute highlight on my year.
this was my secound creature feature i saw when i was a kid my first was deep blu sea its good to see an old classic by one of my favorit youtubers keep up the good work and im sure you will hit 10 k in no time merry chrismas everyone
After watching this movie in the theater, I told a friend of mine "it's a bug movie, but it is a really good bug movie". I don't think I had ever seen a good bug movie up to that point, not one I would recommend anyway.
Also, years ago I had a friend who married a man surnamed Mann. Then…. They named their son “Guy” 😂😂😂😂 If you’re wondering why I find this hilarious it’s because when he grown up his name will be Mr. Guy Mann. And that’s never not funny. We aren’t really friends anymore, I just can’t stop maniacally laughing at her baby.
Why almost always cult classic creature feature gets needlesly sequel? :D Critique asides, this movie is my favorite depiction of new york city's wildife :) And there's fun fact: this movie was based on short story by Donald Wollheim
and sadly we didn't get an adaptation of the sequel to the relic. well, it'd be kind of impossible, seeing as how they killed off 2 twist villians revealedin later novels
Chuy is a treacherous little shit, he got his dad Gepetto killed. Thanks for reviewing one of my all time favorite creature features, and Merry Christmas to you and Ken.
The first one's the best. The others are worth watching, but they just don't live up to the standard set by the first one. 'The Relic' is a good movie to watch back to back with 'Mimic'. 9:02 The only thing I don't like about this movie is how that bug flies with its wings flapping instead of beating. 10:19 Similar to what happened to Elgyn (Michael Wincott's character) in 'Alien: Resurrection'. 11:50 "Try not to sweat. They sense chemical changes." That scene really drives home the horror of what they're up against, what with all their super-senses and whatnot. That plus how much damage these things can take. They shrug off bullets and don't seem to care too much if their bodies are torn in half. The "perfect organism," some would say.
please do Mimic 2 its actually a pretty solid smaller movie sequel that i feel gets over seen... like its way better than it should be... the third... is boring... best i can say.
I ACTUALLY HAVE THE ENTIRE TRILOGY! It's great to see you covering this Gem, CoMIC!
Same! It was the last blu-ray copy at Walmart too, so I had to pick it up.
Genetically engineering a new breed of insect ... what could possibly go wrong? 😮
I appreciate the spoiler warning on a 27 year old movie, was just getting ready to watch it right after I beat Doom with only keyboard controls and watch "The lost world: Jurassic Park"
The first time i played Doom was with a keyboard only. I went through the whole game not even knowing you could strafe XD
Mimic is a great movie that is not afraid to kill off kids.
Also I agree with other comments Please do Relic!
Defo gonna do The Relic before long :D
I still remember the tagline for this movie "Whatever they become they kill. Yesterday they became human"
There's something about your delivery and timing that keeps me coming back to your videos, love that it doesn't matter if you enjoyed the movie or thought it was complete shit, you roast it all the same while adding enough comedy to make elevate your content into something much more than simple recaps.
Thanks very much! I really appreciate it :D

If there was one #Classic that needed a reboot ...here it is. Great Vid Breddaz🔥🔥🔥
Always will love the movie Mimic, but it'll forever get grief from me for how mentally underdeveloped the scientists and scientist's lover dude are.
Also, I really hope you put out a video on Christmas, too. Because that'd be the absolute highlight on my year.
There wont be a Christmas Day video unfortunately, but there will be one on Boxing Day! It will be a bit different than usual :D

The fact this wasn't about killed treasure chests made me sad.
Ahh I still remember my first encounter with a mimic. Sen's Fortress in Dark Souls. Scared the living shit out of me!
That’s Giancarlo Gianinni!!!! Whaaaaat? Why is he here? Shining shoes?!?
😢and also😅
He went from being killed by a giant bug to being killed by Hannibal Lecter. Poor guy couldn't catch a break 😂
Yeah, I watched this at the cinema. Did enjoy it. Happy Christmas, mate. Have a great one.
I hope you have very Merry Christmas too!
Attaka da shoes. 😂
Coz they've been BAD! BAD SHOES!
I want that hat.
Feel like Ken is the mastermind behind this channel, and you’re a genetically engineered vessel to overtake the world.
Ken is definitely the brains of the operation. Unfortunately I am not the brawn.

It's tough finding good exoskeletal footwear...just saying.
Half a Jeff half a Jeff

Just curious, are the sequels nearly as bad as the ones to Species?
@alabamafreak i dont know actually, I didnt watched but only readed reviews
This film needed the real Chewie.
Chuy is a treacherous little shit, he got his dad Gepetto killed. Thanks for reviewing one of my all time favorite creature features, and Merry Christmas to you and Ken.
Easily the best description of Chuy, haha. Merry Christmas to you too, from Ken and myself :D
Seen it in the theater. Loved it. The beginning with the dieing kids really gets me now.
Lovely Christmas movie.
Where does your Santa live?
You’ve got me with the BBQ Rosch Burgah. It sounds feckin LoveLeh
God i love this movie. I hate most insects but i always come back to this film at least once a year.
Bear Grylls version of a Hog roast
Have you ever seen piranhaconda?
I haven't... yet :D
The first mimic was a klassic the second one was okay
Off the shelf reviews just covered this. Nice
One of my all time Favorites.
Movie suggestions, Peter Benchleys Creature and Peter Benchleys Beast.
The first one's the best. The others are worth watching, but they just don't live up to the standard set by the first one. 'The Relic' is a good movie to watch back to back with 'Mimic'.

I will absolutely be covering The Relic in the not too distant future :D
@@CountofMontiCHRIS yaaay.
You could have said Hell Boy 😂
The AI synopsis of this video is worth 7 likes. Add that to the Bury Gummer cameo, and thats 27 likes.
Ich war damals 10 und habe den Film heimlich gesehen.
When I think of Mimic I think of Species.. is that weird lol also, can’t for you to cover Species.
I always thought it was mid. Only really like the 3rd.
