Like Spinning Plates is from early version of I Will that was recorded in the Kid A sessions (dubbed the Dodgy Kraftwerk version) that was reversed which is why it doesn't sound like the released versions. Don't Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors and Pyramid Song use the same sound at the end of both songs?
I knew that there was some connection between I Will and Spinning Plates, but after hearing some videos pointing it out, I myself couldn't find the similarity, which is probably a problem on my end. In regards to Pyramid Song and Pulk/Pull, to be honest, I haven't listened to the ladder in full because it is too annoying for me, but after checking now, oh my god! You're completely right. Thanks for the information. I'm pinning this so everyone else can see.

"Dodgy Kraftwerk version" makes me think that recording also originally had some fast-paced skittering drum beat.

That might be the best singing ive heard in a while
Radiohead's #1 sampler is themselves
2:34 that little noise is so satisfying 2:49
RADIOHEAD SAMPLING THEMSELVES XDDD
3:39 thats an insane sample

really? I thought that was a remix from the special edition. Thank you for commenting :)
Jonny took his guitar part from his song to their Radiohead song.
i'm unbelievably glad that you included the Like Spinning Plates and Kinetic samples
i also think the "the raindrops" part in sit down, stand up was quite clearly a later rendition of the end of kinetic
i think the ultimate insanity is trying to guess which song is which ... one day ill get it
my favs from here are probably the 2 from kid a, those are some amazing samples
Very enjoyable video, I never knew there were actually this many instances of their sampling
6:00 made my jaw drop that's crazy
Is that albert hammond jr.’s dad?
It is
In deed!
No, its Tomas Gutor
I love the strokes but the fact that every single one of them is a nepo-baby is fking hilarious 😭
The Strokes is the most nepotist band of all time
Great selección i think you are a great singer, very pretty
Thanks, dad
@@TomasGutor That's a great dad you got there
Also, @felipegutierrez198 I have to agree
@@TomasGutor You & your dad have good music taste. The Smiths & Radiohead!!

Oh, i forgot about that one. Thanks for commenting :)
wait does nude plays the end of itself backwards in the beginning?
Yup, the intro is the ending reversed.
@@callumhornigold1961 🤯
Nude was played once without the intro, so they sampled the end backwards and put on the final version.
*_Vingt Regards Sur L'enfant-Jésus._* III-_L'échange_ is also sampled at the beginning of the Live EP version of _The Same_ by the Smile.
Wow, i didn’t know that, thanks
tbh main takeaway is, for a rock band they've used more samples than you'd think
wut? more than half are just reusing their own bside material in other songs

love your pfp, also good video
Haha, sorry my guy, the point did not come across. Still, very sharp ears you have, great job.
Thom played Present Tense back in 2009 with these elements, so the Norwegian Wood thing is irrelevant
3:14 how the fuck did you find this though
there is a website called whosampled.com that is basically a big sampling database

WTF MESSIAEN SAMPLE
Hello everybody…
this is yoooour Daily Dose of Internet
Haha not bad singing!
Do they also use sample in The Bends' title track? Cause in the intro you can hear some ducks sound and a voice.
I’ve heard that they sampled a dude coaching some children at a park or something, could be completely wrong tho
So thats why Kinetic and Sounds of orgy didnt make the album!
They didn't make the album cause we can't have anything in this cursed world.
Albert Hammond??! Wtf lmao it’s the dead of the guitarist from the strokes
lol didn't even bother with The National Anthem
Holy crap I completely forgot
@@TomasGutor lol i thought it was just too much of a hassle. Literally just a radio scan, probably 50 different songs.
