I'll never forget the first time I cleared this song. I played it with my friend and DDR rival Blake. Sadly he's no longer with us, but whenever I find a DDR pad i beast this song in honor of him. RIP blake.
I finally passed this as my first 15. I could have picked easier but I was just too committed to this song. I think about half of my runs died out on that last crossover run.
this is a goated chart in general but it’s especially amazing for practicing long crossover streams in higher level charts. 270 bpm 8ths or 135 bpm 16ths are slow enough to be doable but too fast to reasonably doublestep, and the runs are just long enough and complex enough to really test your ability without being so hard as to be overwhelming
This is first chart to have slowdowns for no good reason. However, at this point the people who made the charts still had brains and knew people might think slowdowns were dumb, so they made every slowdown but one completely obvious (they were not going to put yellow notes in a 270 bpm song in these days), and the one that isn't is just three easy jumps. This made the slowdowns fun and cool since you could learn them after playing the song 2-3 times. In charts with slowdowns now, especially if they are 15+, you pretty much have to completely memorize the song or you are screwed.
@@AznKei1 MAX2's only boss songs were Maxx Unlimited and Kakumei. MAX 300 came out on DDRMAX 6th Mix, not DDRMAX2 7th Mix. Extreme's official Boss Songs (aka Extra Stage songs) were The Legend of Max, and the song called Dance Dance Revolution.
@@neferazure I think I misswrote the meaning of the boss songs. What I meant is that they should be more songs that makes you move consistently fast as this one, those who are at least level 15 in terms of difficulty. Yeah, Kakumei & Dance Dance Revolution are boss songs, but I don't really care about them because they don't have what I'm looking for a hard song. Where I live, we had that short-lived arcade dancing game called "In The Groove" that was made for players who wanted more difficult songs and to move their legs quickly.
Nah, without the crossovers, it'd be a hard 14, unless you mean remove the arrows entirely. The chart is too relentless and is difficult to recover if your clear limit is level 14.

I’ll tell my kids about this so his memory lives forever
My proudest moment, and the peak of my pad skill level when I cleared this for the first and only time many years ago.
Same. Currently getting back into DDR and trying to get this back under my belt.

I have been beat this song like 1000 times to get AAA and a unexpected GREAT appears

Everyone likes PSM but sometimes I prefer this just bc of the slower BPM
Make sure to do well on this before moving on to PSM

So so true
Paranoia Hades says hi with a BPM slowdown 4 times lower and notes that are stacked very close together if you play on Single Challenge.
i can't even with those cross overs man
gfc'd it. Thanks, yuisin!

Im salty that im 1 note away from FCing because 1:24 gets me a lot for some odd reason

A bit late, but I think this isn't from Extreme. I've played MAX2 Console JP ver. And its there (appears when its on "Final Stage")
It was on that version as a preview for Extreme.
Super Neko Majin that explains, thanks~
Tbh, it would be great if it was on Max2 arcade as well, tackling 2 hard songs outside of Max300. And I found Max2 better than Extreme.

one of the easiest 15s out there imo
This chart feels like a hard 14 now..
The final stream makes it a 15

I've AAA'd this. One of the easier 15's
I hate the time signature this is in
This is just Paranoia Survivor but slower and without the ending. Also the chart is just mirrored. (Really, KONAMI?)
You mean Paranoia Survivor MAX.

If not for the crossovers at the end, this would be an easy 14.

Came back to this comment after a couple years and all I could think was "damn, I was so wrong."
