I was 9 when I was first played Extreme 2, and this song intimidated the fuck out of me. It's a decade later, I just got back into DDR a year ago after a long hiatus away from it, and I think I'm finally ready to tackle this song.
When I Played DDR EXTREME 2 As A Kid, I Never Bothered To Beat The Dance Master Mode Because I Gave Up At The End Of Area C And In The Middle Of Area D Before My Sibling's Broke My Copy Of The Game!!! In September 2022, For My Birthday, My Younger Sister Bought Me A New Physical Copy Of DDR EXTREME 2, Which I STILL Have!!! And I Legit Wanted to See If I Would Get Anything If I Beat The Dance Master Mode, So I Beat It!!! But When I Got To "The LAST" Mission And Heard The Announcer Say "BOSS STAGE!" After The Screen Faded Back In With "The LAST" Mission Unlocked And The Message That Read "Boss Mission Now Available!", I Got FUCKIN Scared To BIT's, The Announcer Literally SCREAMED At Me!!! I Recorded It And I Still Have The Video From That If U Wanna See It LMAO, yes 😂!!!
I played DDR Extreme 2 when I was very young on my PS2 a ton. Getting back into the game just recently, I started unlocking tons of songs - some that I recognized and some I didn't. This is one I didn't know about, but knowing that this song was hidden away from my young self has driven me determined to conquer it!
I still have yet to defeat Survivor Max on Heavy/Expert. Us old school players still likely address them by Beginner, Light, Standard, Heavy and Oni/Challenge.
I still remember the day I first beat this song. Mostly because I felt like I'd been punched several times because this thing is BRUTAL for the standards of the time. I can't imagine being a DDR Extreme player and suddenly getting walled by this thing. The part from 1:09 to 1:22 is nasty.
I believe DDR X will list a song in a particular difficulty folder if the level matches for any difficulty, not just the highest one. For example, Paranoia Survivor Max is a 15 on Expert, and a 16 on Challenge. The Challenge chart's the infamous one; the Expert chart's a fair bit easier. Paranoia Hades' infamous chart is the Challenge chart, rated an 18. The Difficult and Expert charts are 14 and 15 on DDR X, but both have since been bumped up to 15 and 16.
I'm really out of shape now, I tried doing this song again on my cheap mat on Extreme 2, I beat my standard record of 5.9 mil (that was four years ago) to 7.8 mil, but I barfed out all my lunch after the song was over. That was horrifying.
MidiMaze178 .3k isn't by NAOKI if I remember correctly. I was talking about the difference between Survivor and Survivor MAX. Respect is an entirely different mix.
You're high, FaxX Oni is clearly harder. Labeled an 18 in the DDR X scale. In heavy it's a 17 while this is labeled a 16. However, this being harder than FaxX in Heavy may be debatable.
*me scrolling through level 15 songs on DDR X* MAX 300..... fair enough hmm...... Max 300 super Max Me Mix Was a Bit Harder Than That I always thought Arrabittia (or however you spell it) was pretty hard but not max 300 level *sees Paranoia survivor max and Paranoia hades* ONLY 15, WITH MAX 300, ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME?
You know, I have beaten MAX 300 a number of times, with my best score being a "B" on SuperNova 2 Machine where it's rated as "10". To this day I have never managed to even pass Arrabbiata either at home on Stepmania or on an arcade machine where I have seen it rated as a "9". Those crossovers are fast and they eventually kill me as I tucker out. For what it's worth, I played both songs with no bar, as I am a bit short to use the bar.
The most intimidating PARANOiA at the time. Man I miss those old DDR Days. Watching people do this on HEAVY/EXPERT in arcades was such a treat.
Sincerely, the best PARANOiA remix of all the saga for me! It's hard af, it's frenetic, it has it's stops, and it has a pretty savage velocity!
yeah people tend to sleep on this as an actual song in of itself. Naoki spazzed the fuck out with the survivor remixes.
Pretty insane seeing Heavy/Expert players play this.
It’s revenge for me >:)
@lesteralex1208in terms of difficulty yeah. But for me, the best _song_ is PSMAX. Others I really love and Respect and Revolution
It's amazing how much action this author packed in under two minutes. I absolutely love this beat.
I believe the autor for this one is Naoki Maeda

One of my favorites out of the Paranoia series.
Couldn’t agree with you more buddy
It's one of the best of the series! PARANOiA Revolution did beat it for me though
The originator of the suicide run. this is the song/chart that took dance simulators to the next level.

I think Gatorade made a fortune from me playing this song god knows how many times lol.
LMAO YES
exact moment i decide to give up on being fit @1:09
You got to 1:09? I only made it to 0:03...
Xenolord same
Finally passed this today! So brutal yet so fun.
You can really feel the difference in your legs from 270 to 290. 290 I always got worn out at 1:09.
I still have yet to defeat Survivor Max on Heavy/Expert. Us old school players still likely address them by Beginner, Light, Standard, Heavy and Oni/Challenge.
WOW! GOOD JOB!!! THANKS FOR PLAYING! COME BACK SOON!
My favorite PARANOiA mix. Thanks for uploading!
This song has become underrated

This deserved more views
Good!!!
This song got me shredded on Oni(challenge)
A 16 that still gives me trouble !
"16"
@@Telesmana X Scale goes up to 20, as per DDR X Arcade
The originator of the crossover streams for ESP, and more so on the CSP chart.
certified goes hard

i dont even know how to describe 0:33 - 0:56 but it goes so damn hard
Make sure to do well on Paranoia Survivor 270 before playing this.
I played this on beginner on the arcade version when I was 11. I don't even remember if I passed it or not. :P
1:09 best part
The only way I can describe this song is...DIRTY! But in the best way
This is harder than Endymion
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Closest I've ever gotten to AAing this is like a 92%.
I'm really out of shape now, I tried doing this song again on my cheap mat on Extreme 2, I beat my standard record of 5.9 mil (that was four years ago) to 7.8 mil, but I barfed out all my lunch after the song was over. That was horrifying.

Elite Dancer Make Way!
1:29 part is cool.
Since *always*....
1:09
SPARANOIA
urvivorMAX
Make way for the elite dancer!
I think Naoki should've just bumped it to 300 :P Then we could've heard more of a BPM difference
PARANOiA -Respect- is made by .3k, do the math and it's 300.
MidiMaze178 .3k isn't by NAOKI if I remember correctly. I was talking about the difference between Survivor and Survivor MAX. Respect is an entirely different mix.
Vallarris Ah
Vallarris yep
fyi, .3k is sota fujimori which i did not expect
£ #FUCKING SONG!! 2017 Here! ;-)
@Secohie B4ULoveShine is right. That's exactly what those bars are used for.
Paranoia is a impossible DDR song
Beatmania IIDX 31 EPOLIS
PSM-nO
What’s the difference between this and Paranoia Survivor. Other than with a different tempo, the two sound exactly the same
Mirrored charts on Heavy/Expert, adds a Challenge Chart, and a few extra seconds at the end.
I always thought the MAX looked like it said NTRX
Me too lmao
I Thought the bar behind you was also to support your body weight a bit when you hold on to it so you weren't bouncing your whole body
Disconnected Apotheosis
What time signature is the beginning in? I've been listening for a while and still can't figure it out.
The beat is very irregular. I haven't really figured out a way to count it myself.
4/4
4/4 lots of linear grooves making it seem like more is going on but just tap 16th notes at this tempo, and subdivide/chop accordingly ^^.
You're high, FaxX Oni is clearly harder. Labeled an 18 in the DDR X scale. In heavy it's a 17 while this is labeled a 16. However, this being harder than FaxX in Heavy may be debatable.
Its that other song but...
F A S T
Why the background of the banner is aqua? IIDX 9th style extra stage I guess
@B4ULoveShine They're meant to be used for emergencies?... since when
Lol I never realized but this sounds kinda djenty at certain parts
*me scrolling through level 15 songs on DDR X*
MAX 300..... fair enough
hmm...... Max 300 super Max Me Mix Was a Bit Harder Than That
I always thought Arrabittia (or however you spell it) was pretty hard but not max 300 level
*sees Paranoia survivor max and Paranoia hades*
ONLY 15, WITH MAX 300, ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME?
Remember when every boss song was a 10 footer, so they had to add flashing 10 footers with PSMO? Ah, the days.
You know, I have beaten MAX 300 a number of times, with my best score being a "B" on SuperNova 2 Machine where it's rated as "10". You thought 270 was hard?
Um to be honest...the hardest would be Pluto Relinquish by 2mb. Being a 18 footer in heavy and 19 footer on Oni. But no one remembers ddrX
pluto relinquish was a 17 on expert singles and 18 on challenge singles
I wonder who is the creator of this game 😑
Konami, duh.
Konami, the creator of the song is Naoki Maeda
Obviously, Konami. The song? Obviously Naoki Maeda.
this song made a survivor to the max (I'm not sorry)
I could easily beat this song now when I was young I couldn't do this but now that I'm 14 I can beat it no prob
@B4ULoveShine I call bullshit.

Seems to be 9/4
