It was a great night in Carl Nielsen Hall - Odense Concert Haus, 13 February 2014. It was a Russian evening with works by Modest Mussorgsky, Nikolai Miaskovskij and Andrei Eshpai.. It is probably the first time that a Danish symphony orchestra is playing a work by the excellent and prolific composer Andrei Eshpai. Now Odense Symphony currently have one of Russia´s leading conductors, namely Alexander Vedernikov, and for him Eshpai is not unknown. It was his Concerto Grosso that was played, and there were four soloists, including the composer´s granddaughter, Maria Eshpai on piano. What you can´t see on You Tube is that the audience gave a standing ovation after Eshpai´s Work.
Does anybody have a source for a published edition of this piece? I have been searching for a while and come up with nothing. Even just a publishers name would be helpful.
