    I am thinking i am gonna buy one of this SRNE 24V 3000W all in on one solar inverter and run my 2 freezers in the basement, and possibly have some backup power for a few hours after a lightning storm. Thank you for the video on this inverter.

    Looks just great to me Darren . 3000 watts is 25 amps so it looks like your running the total 25 amps or a max amperage of 30 from the inverter and split it between two 15 amp breakers. Love it bud you did very well. The wifi might be resolves faster if you just installed a cheap wifi extender in the room to pickup the signal from upstairs . Amazon under $50 . Top notch bud 👌

      Yeah you are not wrong. Today it’s nice but windy and tomorrow a little colder. I wired up my combiner box today with my neighbour and I now have 6 panels hook up in two series of 3. I have another 6 panels to hook up. Where about are you in Manitoba?

    Mine just arrived, using it to use while boondocking down Yuma BLM way. I've also bought 2 , 280 W 12V lithium batteries and 6 , 100 W solar panels, question is, Will I be able to increase my amount of solar to keep the batteries up? I'm bringing my generation down for back up, but hope to not have to use it. We're in MB also, Shoal Lake, West of Brandon, so wouldn't mind picking your mind for pointers to make my hook-up go smoothly.

    • @DarrenCharron

      Yes you have lots of room to add to your panels. I run 10 230 watt panels on my system. I am not far from Shoal Lake myself.

    Darren - how is this unit working for you in 2024? I am looking at setting up an off grid power system in Northern Nevada for our 50 Amp RV service. We would like to be up on the property in the Spring to Fall and drive into work. Since we do not have power up there we will have to build our own system to power the RV. We won't need AC in the summer so the only heavy loads would be the washer/dryer, refrigerator and water heater (we could just run propane - it is a dual electric/propane unit). The only other thing would be a chest freezer (deep freeze unit). Is the unit you installed able to be paralleled to increase 120/240 output? I would have to find a 48v unit - need the performance and prefer 48v to 24v.

    • @DarrenCharron
      @DarrenCharron  11 місяців тому +1

      Hi The unit I have will not support 240 volt just 120 in. My system has been running great. It does not have the option to do parallel if I was to get a new system that would be what I would go with as I limited with this system. I currently run all my lights the freezer sump pump all the downstairs wall plugs, outside plugs and the water pump on my system.

    Your AC panel needs a disconnect by code. Can be an external switch or main breaker in the panel. One tip: never run cable in conduit. You were making things difficult for yourself.

    Hi Darren, You have a great Off-Grid system. Around 6 months back I booked up a PowerMr 5.5 Inverter with 4 Turbulent batteries (150Ah) and 460Wx10 JA panels. Your system seems much neat. However, since we both have inverter's with cooling fans you might also have the dust issue. Recently due to cold weather dust and humidity killed many inverters which my friends used. So you may need to have a dust filter sooner than later. I created a small video which shows what I have done. Please have a look and share your ideas. ua-cam.com/video/4sAX6WE0BaY/v-deo.html Another tip for anyone who reads this message. Don't install FLD / Turbulent batteries just under the inverter. It will soon damage the circuit boards. Thanks, Happy Off-Grid.

    I think what you should have done was hooked up two panels in series each and then run them parallel that way you keep the voltage down but the amperage up that will give you more power and that won't let you go over the voltage
