Just want to let you know before you get yelled at lol...XG is a 7 member Japanese group. Although they are promoted and organized in the same manner as K pop group, they're not K pop. XG said they want to be referred to as an X pop group. They're a global group whose main sound is RnB and Hip Hop and who rap and sing in English. You guys should definitely check out more of them! They're fire!
No one "is kpop". Kpop is not a music genre, a music genre is defined by its sound, if you believe kpop is a genre then you should be able to convince me that Scream by Dreamcatcher and Where Are We Now by Mamamoo have the same sound. You can't do that, because they objectively have wildly different sound, they are a different genre of music, but both part of Kpop. Kpop also does not mean "Korean language pop music", because if it did then the kpop label should be stripped from any english version of kpop songs. Kpop is an industry, they have a way to creating groups and producing music. In that way, the same 2 groups and songs I previously mentioned fall under this definition, and so does XG. XG was created like any other Kpop group and vehemently insisted on taking advantage of all the kpop platforms benefits to be what they want to present themselves as. They are making moves that make them stray outside of these norms now, we can say they have a foot outside of the box like other artists who sometimes appear in the Kpop scene without checking all the boxes, such as AKMU or Heize or Jessi for example. But what I'm saying is just that trying to label them as kpop or not doesn't accomplish what you think it does because kpop is not a genre. And based on how present they are in the kpop scene, anyone calling them kpop is just as credible as anyone saying Twice is kpop. Or else we have to say their Japanese releases or versions of korean songs are also not kpop, and the group themselves is only 70% kpop because they have foreign members. Sound, language and nationality don't define if a group is kpop or not. The way they are established and make business is what defines kpop identity.

I normally hate this style of music but XG will have m following with EVERYTHING they do. The fact that their main vocalists can rap and keep up with the main rappers and the main rappers keep up with the main vocalists is crazy and so rare in music groups. XG makes blackpink and StrayKids look weak. Not to mention that they are rapping in (most of) their THIRD language also adds some respect on these young women. There are 7 girls. aged between 18 a and 23. you have 4 rapers and 3 vocals but all of them can sing and rap and dance if you want to get to see them in there main roles watch the tapes( raping) and vox( singing ) on there youtube and also they have dances on there youtube under move . I highly recommend doing the tape and vox and move Both of you will love all the tape and will love the vox. I know you don't really watch dance video but there some metal and rap song in the dance video you will enjoy them

XG, as someone who has been listening to kpop for over 10 years, is one of my favorite groups. Top 5 groups.
