I think you guys caught the most lines out of all the reactors that I've watched, so kudos for that!! Jurin was my favorite, but all the girls killed it. Their vocal line is amazing as well and they just recently had a comeback. I recommend their B-side LEFT RIGHT, it's fire especially if you like late 90s/early 00s R&B!

Guys this reaction was on point, you had the knowledge to back it up and understood a lot of the bars, which is not easy without the lyrics and with those sweet beats. I don't know if you're more focused on Hip Hop/Rap content therefore I'll suggest the XG TAPE 1 which is more on that genre, but also to check their music/dances in general. you guys were kinda under rocks, but not really lol. xg (7 member girl group) are coming up on their 1 year anniversary in march, these 4 are just the rap line. theyre all japanese, however they aim to be a global group and promote all over the world, so their music is completely in english. they have 2 singles so far (tippy toes & mascara) and another coming on the 25th of this month. all of the members are rapping in english, korean, and japanese, which all 7 members speak. jurin is the leader of the group, and maya (17) and cocona (17) are the youngest, being only 16 (cocona) and 17 when this was released. all girls in the group range from 2002-2005
Jurin spittin' fire over evil beats of Rosalia's SAOKO

I want you guys to know how FIRE Jurin's bars at the end when she raps When they see you they go "chotto" (means nah in Japanese), when they see me they go "motto" (means more in Japanese). I'm like wooo they ate and left no crumbs.
yes, cocona did say khaleesi flow! the line is "here for the throne, khaleesi flow, burn em away don't play no games"
they released test video of their sections that have the lyrics hard coded in, if you're interested. no official translations for the korean and japanese verses, but at least the english is available.
also the original songs, you knew cocona's, jid "surround sound". maya's was jid "down bad", harvey's was ty dolla $ign "i won", and jurin's was rosalia "saoko"
The part where she says, “play no games” really plays into the title of the whole show as it was named, “game of thrones” too. That whole line is very clever.

All the girls are rapping in English, Japanese and Korean. XG is a 7 Japanese member girl band who are based in Korea but their songs are all in English. The company is XGALX, a subsidiary of AVEX Japan.

A LOT of people slept on Harvey because her part was less aggressive and more melodic, no cap I did too, but when I came across the chill bill joint she ripped my love for hip hop heart out, gave it a venomous kiss and bitch slapped me in the face with it😝 AND I LOVED IT! She has my apology and my respect, mind you I looked passed the music in the zypher mv and found the subtitles and when I read the whole thing, I got a better understanding and came to the conclusion that she still held it down. Her accent made me pay close attention to her and when I understood the lyrics she did it to me again, I got bodied 🤣😂🤣😂

I am always amazed how everyone seems surprised that Japanese artists got bars, for real. Rap has been huge in Japan since the early 80's, yea they have been 'bout that style of music for almost as long as it has existed. It's a fun rabbit hole to jump into. Rap in Japan... It's a shame that people are so ignorant that whenever they see Asian people doing pop or rap they assume Korea long before there was a thing called K-Pop there was J-Pop, J-Rap, J-Metal, J-Rock as well as an EDM scene second to none! These young ladies are aged from 17 to 22 I believe, watch out K-Pop these ladies are putting the world on notice J-Pop is coming for you. Don't call it a comeback, they been here for years! (Japan's rap and pop scene, not XG, they are almost a year old as a group.)

Some older OGs in Korea Rap: CL and Hyuna (2NE1) and G Dragon, T.O.P. (Big Bang) and Jay Park had a good RnB vibe. I lived there for two years and these were some of the local favorites for classics still.
Also the Korean music industry is actually known for “making” artists. Literally put them through boot camps to become great at their craft and the look that is desired for the intent of their brand. It’s actually kind of sad but extremely interesting and you can honestly only respect the artists for all their hard work because it really is a lot of work they put in. I reccommend looking into it.
