Thanks for the video, I think I need to change my motor mount also. By the way, what brand of floor jack are you using. I bought one but couldn't get it under the frame.
MIDROLL ADDS = DISLIKE. I let all adds run , but midrolls are so disruptive and loud, I never let them run, if I can catch them, nor watch them, even if my mother would put up a video with them , it would get 'dislike' .
So glad I came across this today ... did a 3 hole change fired the bike up and noticed alot of shaking on the front looked at the bushing and it was dry rotted and my first thought was how to change it.... now I know thanks
Thank you for your message at the end of the video. We motorcyclist smell a lot more people smoking weed in their car while driving than most other drivers notice. That's been my observation since it was legalized here in CA.
Nice little service video. You're the first guy I've seen doing a tech video on replacing engine mounts, well done Mikey. I see your got the same fuel crossover line as me, I haven't put mine on yet though, hi to Chewy & family. I was due to fly to.Prague last Sun for replacement lens surgery on my eye( it's a third of the price over there compared to the UK) but the Czech government closed their borders due to the coronovirus, it's getting worse over here, stay safe all of you & all the best 👍
Thanks and take care of yourself. This virus is not traveling fast over here so far, but we’re all quarantined. No school no work no travel no doctor appointments except for the wife and I. We still have to work being in public safety sector. Hoping this passes quickly would like to do the trip into Canada Nova Scotia this June Any how be safe and god bless my friend
Great Vid - What is the Torque Spec On the Large Bolt in center on the Mount ..?? Thank you just put in new Harley Mount on my 2002 Road King this morning, Tried 25LBS but vibration was still quite high So tightened more and seemed to get better but really would like to know the Torque Spec from Harley ..?? Thank You Todd
Great video - especially the commentary at the end. Which replacement mount did you go with? I got one from J&P and it's just as bad as what I removed.
I usually get my parts from JP Cycle too. I ordered and installed the jp cycle brand motor mount. Seems to be holding up well so far. Maybe you receive a defective one? Just a thought.
@@TechnMoto Turned out to be a plugged air cleaner making it backfire. New air cleaner and new spark plugs made it run much smoother . Now imma do that front mount, Thanks again.
Great video.... However, it's a shame replacement of the front mount didn't reduced the vibrations on mine RC 08. and I fitted original HD mount. Anyone knows what else I can do to fix it ?
Install new lock washers, clean all parts and bolts, use parts manual to insure all parts and hardware are correctly installed, used service manual for torque specs. Might suggest you use new locking nuts, or Lock Tight, I like new new hardware when available.
@TechnMoto it's gotta be something with the front or rear mounts. Bike runs great above 2k rpms. We'll the bike runs great below 2k too, just a shake through the fairing when slowing down between 1500 and 2k.
approx. 22 ft lbs and 33 ft lbs on the mounting plate bolts I believe. You should get yourself a manual for your model motorcycle so you can verify specs cause specs are different depending on models

Brian Wanberg it’s the harbor freight aluminum jack
get a low profile jack, it will fit.

Just ride upon a short 2x6 and your jack should work. Or get a motorcycle jack that is good for removing the wheels.
Finally someone shows the top and bottom of the mount along with the install. Difficult area to film. You did it brilliantly!
Wow. Cool. Thanks.
Beautiful color. I also liked how you just muscled the engine up with the bar. Most vids show jack. Very enjoyable! Nice job.
Thank you very much!
Very well explained. Thank you very much . 👍

Should the Bike be on stand when starting with Bolts loose so it finds it right sweet spot or on the ground?

My new one fixed the engine shake at idle, but now it shakes like crazy between 1600 and 2000 rpm. Especially when coming to a stop.
