Great tutorial! I love how you don't skip any of the steps and go through a streamlined process. Saves so much time for a beginner just trying to complete a simple task. Thanks!
Loved this tutorial. Never really considered pictures in my projects until I recently had a good reason to do it. I started off my project using .pngs, but thankfully came across this before I finished. This will give me the flexibility I need to get them in the project and still edit them afterwards.
So helpful, both in "big picture" as well as in crucial micro steps. Particularly appreciated the tip to start my PS file with a still from Premier Pro. Cuts through all the anxious guesswork in figuring out the settings to begin a PS file. So glad I've found your channel.
Yo Javier! I'm watching this video the day after Thanksgiving. You answered my question exactly. Thank you again. I hope you and your family had a Happy Thanksgiving!
Nice tutorial Javier! being that its now a couple of years old, and there have been updates, i'm wondering if you could explain about importing a sequence from Photoshop that has lots of layers that have been organized into folders inside of Photoshop? For some reason, my imported sequence only shows layers from one folder, and they are all individual layers in Premiere, rather than being on one plane (as in the folder inside of Phortoshop)
@@JavierMercedes Hey man, so i'm trying to follow the video and when i import my sequence i only get 1 fx bar, I'm doing the import sequence method shown in your video but or some reason it dose not split them allowing me to edit them individually! any ideas? to add to it i do get multiple layers imported it's not just a single layer, if i try add them into the sequence editors manually some don't properly show as if the layer stack is all wrong.
What if I make a drawing animation in photoshop and den drag it to premiere pro. Will it still coexist one on top of another?????? This is a very important question for my career and I would like to know before I buy
Hi Javier - great video. I used to import my PSD as you how here - typically as individual layers. But now - as of a few days ago, premiere automatically opens media Encoder as part of the import and this make multiple PSD files - a new PSD for each layer. Ugh. Have you come across this before? And (fingers crossed) can you tell me where I can disable this and pit it back the way it was before?
Sir, I have a designed frame developed in Photoshop. Now I want to insert my videos within that frame as outer border in premiere pro. A video tutorial would be of great help. Regards.
This video solved another issue I was having... When I used File > Import or CMD-I on my mac, I could import the Photoshop file as a sequence and all worked out fine. However, when I made a change to the PSD I got the same links missing errors as I've seen others have, and I did not find any real way to reconnect link by link nor did I want to waste the time. However, when I dragged the PSD into Premiere instead, and then imported as a sequence, all links stayed intact. I even created new layers in PSD and saved the file. I then individually imported those new layers into Premiere. Now, anytime I make a change and save the PSD file it updates without any link issues with either the original layers in PSD or the newly created ones. This is the solution I was looking for. But you cannot delete the new layers or the same linking issues comes back. So, try dragging the PSD into premiere to do the sequence import instead of File > Import or CMD-I ... Which is what Javier showed in this video... Worked like a charm for me, and, it fixed the layer names to match the PSD layers so I could see what layers I was working with, whereas before it was only showing two characters and a file path... Thank you!
Hello Javier. I just purchased your preset pack for this and am excited to use it. But, I have tried several times to import my PSD file, which contains about 15 layers. I keep getting a generic error message. I've done this several times before in Premiere, and never had a problem. Usually I import as separate layers. But have done sequences in the past.
I haven’t seen it before on it import but it doesn’t surprise me, if it’s something you have done before without any issue the only thing I could recommend is resetting your preferences but just be warned that this will get rid of your preferences, I’m not really sure that would help.
@@JavierMercedes Thanks for your swift reply. The strange thing is, I try importing another PSD file from another project I worked on, and it gives me all the import options, merged, individual, etc. I even did a different "Save as" on my PSD file, and still get an error. Hmmmm...
Hi, nice video, question, I did a video but only with the layers that I created on Photoshop, it's a video for a social media account, but I have a problem when I export the video, I have my presets for Instagram, premiere do the render, ok, but the problem is with the video bitrate, I don´t know why it's so low and bad quality, I'm sure with my settings when I`m gonna to export. Do you understand my question?, Thanks.
Not necessarily with premiere, I have a video all about how to import illustrator like this into after effects: ua-cam.com/video/3Z9L0I7te8Q/v-deo.html
When I import my photoshop file for some reason it's a different size than the document. I followed your process by starting with an exported frame from the premiere and still get the same output.
