@@draregrevtaam1147 Once they introduced the 1 unit per tile rule in Civ V, the AI is notoriously bad at getting melee units in range to take the city. They'll often surround it with archers and then embark their melee units or just wander them around out of range. Exactly what happened here. Embarked 50%+ of the units to die in the ocean.

@@draregrevtaam1147 they had everything set up but strategy. The last melee unit to capture the CS died and the range offensive fell to pieces.
