Civ 5 AI Only Timelapse: Between Two Worlds

- A massive ridge with five guardians separates 12 civilizations that will be isolated from each other for centuries. Will they be able to break the ancient wall and meet each other for cultural sharing and mutual destruction, and, meanwhile, will mountain guardians just sit and wait for their end or maybe they will visit the valleys by themselves to tell about amazing properties of mountain air?
For this battle, I used Community Patch steamcommunity.com/sharedfile... and also test 2k terrain texture forums.civfanatics.com/thread...

That’s what happens when you’re not interested in a trade agreement with England.
The main question is: Would you be interested in a trade agreement with England?
WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN A TRADE AGREEMENT WITH ENGLAND?????
Everyone: no
England:
hdckighfkvhvgmk Trade agreement:
England: 1 gold
You: Your capital
Polish Athens, the real MVP
fr, it stayed there for so long
instaBlaster
Would you be interested in a trade agreement with England?
France was really Fucking smart to take out the Zulu so quickly.
Early? They were taken out in 1900, though I guess they lost their capital and other cities a lot earlier
When you wouldn't be interested trade agreement with England
0:50 Germany, I know your favourite hobby is invading France, but it's just not practical when they're not your neighbour
frisianmouve They just waited until mid-game to do their second favourite hobby - Invading Poland.
nein?
They should have just accepted the trade agreement
))
When everybody hears Yanny or Laurel, but you heard REBUILD THE BRITISH EMPIRE.
England got about the worst start location in the map and still won
nice job really
If only America and France worked together like before....
wow, england didnt die in the classical era for once...pigs do fly
Huh, England actually won for once. AND they were in the middle so were vulnerable from 2 sides.
Ethan King Longbows>>>>>>>death robot
Best one I have seen so far. Poles in Athens were epic.
The German siege of Polish Athens was embarrassing
Lord Penguin shhh no one saw that
I was just yelling at them the whole time to just go invade Washington.
Me in the beginning: "Ha, English in the mountains? On a map with no water? They are so dead"
Me, when I remember about the longbows: "Oh."
Well, seeing how England won there...
They have extra range, which means more focus fire.
Wow America didn’t die immediately this time.
I found myself commentating this in my head as I watched it. "The Zulu losing their capital early, but you never can count them out if they can get their Impi." "Mongolia and Russia underperforming this game." "America, in a surprise manuver, taking Addis Ababa from Babylon, but the city won't have time to heal before England takes it." Great battle overall.
This is really interesting. Those tundra starts with the loaded hills actually look really strong. I like the map in general--it's interesting to see who may go for an early expansion, who may go for an early war, or both. lol
I have written something of a *History of the World* for this scenario:
Persia started off very aggressively with an expansion *and* early wars, dominating both Austria and the Mongols, but then are stalled as they go to war with seemingly their whole hemisphere simultaneously. Shaka surprisingly gets manhandled early on by France. Germany, avoiding a reenactment battle with America, instead walks literally across the world to attack France. But since this is an alternate reality History, France actually put up a fight this time! ;)
Oh oh--England looks ready to offer some trade agreements as she gets Longbows when nobody else has access to crossbows. Poland is also looking pretty after conquering Athens. Gunpower erupts onto the world as Persia, Germany, America, France, and Babylon all field Musketmen. Persia begins losing the war with England despite having Muskets--those Longbows are not to be underestimated. Blink and you'll miss it! The once-mighty Persian Empire has all but disappeared.
Seems the Western Hemisphere was less volatile as France fails to take over Egypt, largely thanks to Poland's aid. Meanwhile Germany conquers Beijing, becoming the -second- third empire to start on the outskirts and cross the center mountain pass. Evidently Persia had been focused on Beijing while the war with England was starting up, then their armies were summarily destroyed by England and their empire was torn to shreds as England, Arabia, and Germany all swept in to claim their spoils.
Persia is no more as England establishes a fearsome Empire. To the surprise of no one ever, Germany is making moves on Poland. Despite its massive and powerful army, Babylon is failing to navigate the terrain in what seems a clumsy attempt to take over Ethiopia that has spanned generations.
It seems Washington fell asleep and America loses Orleans to Shaka's medieval army essentially without contest, despite having access to Minutemen. Ah, further research reveals Poland had bullied America as they also held off Germany and thus Shaka snuck in and caught the Americans unawares. The Mongols briefly remind the world they exist, taking Persepolis from England momentarily before England recaptures it. Meanwhile England, Arabia and Morocco war endlessly with no clear victor yet in sight.
As the wonderful Witcher music starts, France gives up its efforts to conquer Egypt and instead reclaims their ancestral city of Orleans. After centuries of war, or perhaps more accurately centuries of aggressive mountain sight-seeing, Babylon finally conquers Ethiopia and then quickly finishes off Shaka. Having a resurgence in power, France fends off America and sets its sights on the newly expanded Babylon. Further south, Washington has woken up and ravages a Polish empire weakened by war with Germany.
Germany marches a large army to once again attack France but it is quickly struck down. This does give Babylon a moment of respite, and they now have Riflemen! Germany begins to deploy Riflemen as well. Is this the beginning of the end for the Fleur-de-Lis? Surprisingly, it would appear not. Germany gets distracting attacking Poland. Typical. And despite the technological disadvantage, France holds strong against Babylon and begins to deploy Riflemen of their own.
Back in the Eastern Hemisphere's all-out battle royale, England finally makes some progress and captures St. Petersburg. And now they too join the Rifleman party. Despite its setback against England, Russia manages to eliminate Morocco with the aid of Arabia. But things look grim for those who might refuse a trade agreement with England.
In a surprising move, England engages in war with Babylon instead of concluding their business with Arabia. Can't let the Tech leader get too far ahead, I suppose. After some heavy army casualties on both sides with no territorial exchange, the war between England and Babylon simmers down. England refocuses its efforts on Arabia and captures Vienna.
Germany continues fighting on too many fronts--as usual--making attempts against France and Poland--as usual. And America finally ends all that silly business being allied to Germany and goes to war with them instead. Warfare continues across the world with little in the way of territorial exchanges.
Armies begin to modernize as Flight is discovered, and Germany takes the lead in the aerial front as well as on the ground with Great War Infantry. England also begins developing an air force. Hopes of reenacting the Allies versus Germany dwindle as America and France begin warring once more. England, however, is in the right spirit as they stomp out the Mongols and then set their sights on German-controlled Beijing. The skies become crowded as Arabia, Russia, and France all begin air fighter production.
Great War Infantry and Artillery are becoming the norm in the theater of war. Beijing falls to the British as France finally fulfill their dream of conquering Egypt. America gets back into character, fighting Germany alongside England as they roleplay WW1. Mecca valiantly holds off a fearsome British attack as Hamburg is ceded in a peace treaty to the ever expanding British Empire. Germany apparently stations an otherwise useless Settler near Hamburg as a symbol for waving the white flag--it seems the German tanks arrive too late. Not sufficiently entertained by their war with France, Babylon marches on York but their forces are held off and destroyed. Washington apparently idolizes Teddy Rosevelt and makes a ton of Cavalry. He also sneaks in and captures a Babylonian city besieged by the British air force.
England's trade agreements become even more menacing as Rocket Artillery take the field. She makes Arabia an offer he cannot refuse and Mecca resists no more. Poland is apparently somehow still alive--enjoying Peace and devoting their time to Archaeology and Religion. England is apparently upset America ninja'd that Babylonian city and wants to have a word with Washinton about a certain tea party she was not invited to.
Germany makes an attempt to reclaim Hamburg, but to no avail. Krakow and Addis Ababa fall almost simultaneously as England's forceful trade agreements continue to reign supreme. At this point it seems none may be able to resist Elizabeth's negotiation skills for much longer.
Warsaw falls as the Americans continue to lose ground to England and the British Empire becomes the first to stretch from one end of the world to the other. For the first time in forever, Peace falls on the world. But America and Germany cannot just let it go. As Berlin is falling, Washington builds a snowman--on Bismarck's grave. Across the world, English forces make quick work of the Russians. Peace reigns once more.
The Peace is shattered as England drops the world's first Nuclear bomb on Poland, and quickly captures the final Polish city. Relations worldwide become uneasy as it becomes evident the unstoppable British Empire's thirst for Conquest has not yet been sated. Tensions rise as British troops gather near the American border once again. The war is over nearly as quickly as it had begun. One American city falls after the other and Washington is no more.
England is not yet satisfied. Babylon is next to be asked, "Would you be interested in a trade agreement with England?"
First they came for the Persians. Then they came for the Germans. Then they came for the Americans. Now they come for France.
And France stands alone.
Like a tiger lying in ambush, the English troops assemble. The French gazelle nervously looks around, perhaps unaware of the danger. Thebes is the first to fall. Umgungundlovu falls qucikly after. Then Orleans and Ulundi. Only Paris remains as the nuclear ash settles near Orleans and Paris itself. The English troops mount a final assault and the final trade agreement is brokered.
England Reigns Supreme.
God save the Queen!
I spent probably more time than is healthy writing all that. But it was fun. Think I'm finally done editing.
Wow, that's a piece of art!
Unfortunately, I cannot pin this comment, I guess it's because of the number of characters or maybe just some UA-cam bug.
Was a fun read.
good read
I like how when the "wall" fell England decided they needed to remake it
W O U L D Y O U B E I N T E R E S T E D I N A T R A D E A G R E E M E N T W I T H E N G L A N D ?
Michael Milburn no my uranium isnt worth your petty horses, stop asking
3:48 the starvation of London
It's a bold strategy, let's see if it pays off for them
Of course the guy with Zedong in his name will notice a famine.
2:39 - 2:55 German worker builds/scraps/rebuilds fort 3 times in eastern Beijing
Brilliant AI coding ...
Those german workers at around 7:00 couldn't decide whether to build farm or a fort, lol
LOOOOOOL, I guess that lead them to their immanent doom...
For once England didn't get wiped out before they could get longbows.
this was one of the best ones yet. you're the best AI only maker i've ever seen by far
trade status: agreed
Babylon was just sitting there the entire time like: 👁️👄👁️
And the huns!
Build a fort, knock it down. My granddad did this and my grandson will do this. The cycle will carry on till the end of time...
Good god England had alot of GDRs by the end of that...
When your not interested in having a trade route with *england*
Never, make a trade agreement with England.
I beg a pardon?
Thomas Wenzel that's unacceptable.
When in doubt,
"dang those Ships of the Line are broken"
Poland defending Athens
Somehow Germany could not refrain itself from trying to invade France...
By 28 seconds into the game, and at 900 BC, Persia has 4 cities. I'm sitting here trying to figure out how they don't win the game by just snowballing up the eastern side of the map, and, to be honest, I got nothing.
cuz England always strikes you suddenly when you are already in war.
Because Longbows.
Cause they were fighting the all the eastern factions including the mountain factions and Germany as the same time. Looks like they got an immediate coalition on them. Persia ran out of manpower and England got lucky with the opportunity to gobble up most of their territory.
Was pretty sure Persia is going to win that one xd
Love those unpredictable runs
This one is so amazing I cannot even describe it in a comment. So much dynamism and unexpected things happening, comebacks... Wow.
I liked the small moment where the US took Orleans and the French kicked them out. "Non! If you must, build your own."
The sun never set on the British Empire
Britannia Rules the.. mountains?
I am disappointed in you. You had an amazing opportunity on the end screen there. I was expecting to hear, "Would you like to make a trade agreement with England?"
The tables turned so fast on Persia!
England starts to take advantage when its UU comes out, which I think is the best one in civ5.
Best french performance so far in your videos. And some goods moves from USA too. A great one !
Far over the misty mountains cold
To dungeons deep and caverns old
We must away, ere break of day,
To find our long-forgotten gold.
Nice Hobbit reference :)
2:38, the collapse of the persian empire and how the other nations scramble for the pieces
No, not like this Germany. You gotta conquer Poland *fast*
What Egypt did in the entire vid...
Just build things
Here I thought Persia's gonna win
Btw nice choice of soundtracks :D
Chaktip Paiboon England yanked the rug out from under them...
Would you be interested in a trade agreement with England?... No? Then I'll help myself to your trade goods.
So England didn't mind fighting a war on multiple front. The Mongols, the French, the Babylonian, the Russians, the Arabs and I couldn't tell if they were fighting the Americans... all around the same time. 😯
Living in a shitty mountain hovel, surrounded on all sides by large empires with numerical and economic advantage. England: Hold my beer
Это же ебанутся как долго хитрые поляки удерживали афины. Просто до последнего.
даыай циву сыграем
никто толком не нападал
Их зарядила энергия ведьмака.
Nice. I had a feeling England was going to win when I seen they had built citadels on either side of London.
@AIbattle Can you do one of these, but have one of the AI's on their own separate continent and to see if 1 nation that has it's own area can invade a war hardened world?
would be interesting to watch 20 ai's duking it out while 1 is just chilling, but all of a sudden starts massing boats and invades, or just chills till the end of the batch and get horribly overwhelmed.
7:55 the music when poland gets nuked
The sun never sets...
Why am I watching this at 2 am?
I'd never imagine that one of the civs in the middle would win, they managed better their borders than Persia did
Much better defensive position thanks to the mountain chokepoints and the hill and jungle terrain.
This one is a pretty good video. Really dynamic and I did not expect the ending. :D
When you have the high ground.
I guessed who was gonna win in the first second of the video lol, that civ just seems so strong in AI battles
Rule Britannia! Britannia rules the plains!
Been playing civ solo and with friends for weeks now in quarantine, that's what brought me here but now...I must play Witcher.
this was a really good one. keep these coming i love them
France squandered their early artillery advantage. Should have swept south, taken Warsaw, Washington and Berlin. Then, moved on to the rest of the map.
Does anyone else assign culturally appropriate names to the giant robots? i.e. for England, "The Big Ben"
Best germany and USA ever on this channel
Instead of taking out America for land and power, they attacked Poland....If they were not able to get to France at 0:50 they were going to try for Poland LMAO. Which Poland just happened to have a very defensible city, that the Germans threw a shit ton of soldiers at
RIP to the best US AI we’ve seen in this channel
Historically accurate.
The English had a case of "Right place, right time."
• Began with less competitors than the ones on the sides of the map
• Focused on expanding manpower at the beginning
• Caught Persia at war with the Germans, Arabians, and Russians meanwhile they had deployed their special Longbowmen (brilliant move)
• Minimized expansion to the west to decrease the possibility of war on both fronts, exploiting the defensive chokepoint of their capital
tea prevails
3:02 when the Witcher music kicks in
I like how when Germany lost hamburg they just gave up...
watch from 6:20 to their death they just keep building a fort to knock it down and rebuild it. it ramps up at 6:40 and they just don't stop.. Like at 6:40 they get triggered from losing workers who built the first 4 that they just spam it.
for real
civ ai is terrible
@@Bigmoosemanswiggan yeah... honestly the ai battles are so one sided because they never team up to accomplish anything... so strong civs just 1v1 weaker civs, just taking them out one at a time while they just sit there watching as a civ becomes too strong.
hahah. also if you look around almost every country is doing that. civ ai broke
Germans need them hamburgers to keep going. how else will they survive?
Workers are really bad in Civ 5. I would avoid playing as the Inca because the workers would build and tear down immediately farms and terrace farms on the same tiles.
Persians totally trashed a victory focusing on Beijing.... :(
Once England got giant death robots they ate up the rest of the civilizations like it was their birthday cake 🍰
It was unpredictable
Well at least America wasn't wiped out in the first 10 turns this time....
Dat Longbow rush
Witcher music
Spoiler alert
It's England
1942: British innovative technologies - catapults - will defeat any enemy British Empire wants.
The short lived Persian empire
Why do I feel the need to drink some Yorkshire Tea after seeing this video.
Great choice of music
the final march upon Paris
Don't know why UA-cam wants me to watch this, but I am not going to complain.
This was a really cool one
As an Englishman I approve.
Rule Britannia!
Poland have good start and when play witcher theme Polish game then lose game :D
ATHENS NOO
oooh idea, you could make a tournament/league of all of your favourite civs!
I was thinking about saying something about that trade agreement with england , but I see someone already said it.
Just as in Rival Regions, Tea trumps all
5:51 Ooh! That music reminds me of the Rat of Mapping's series "Ferum" and "the Second Chance". You've no idea what you've done adding that music!
I have never been so happy at one of your videos.... England have finally won something!!
at about 6:30 the French civ seemed to just stop. is that normal? did they just, like surrender?
Evil Spyke
Error 404 Napoleon not found.
When they're outmatched by everyone else on the field AI empires just tend to sit there and not do much
what a game
