Met Jeff a few years ago, when he played a show with my niece, Casey Baker, in Texas. When I got home, I looked to see what he had on his own, and the first song I found was this. Talk about an "OMG moment"! I've gotten to know the man a little better since, and what a talented, and good guy he is!
This powerful song is a wonderful composition in all ways; reminds me of songs like "The Richest One" and "Just to Hear your Voice"...I am mystified why these Texas songs and songwriters are not known by the whole world. At least we have them here in Texas. Thank you.
Just watched him play this live on his Facebook Feed...I tipped him and the Southern Poverty Law Center (he was splitting proceeds with them for his performance) to play it; he closed his set with it. It was incredible. That and "Sleeping Dogs" are my favourite of his songs.
I really enjoy your music . I heard your playing on Tell the Truth with Bobby Whitlock and CoCo Carmel and really appreciated it. Which led me looking you up on UA-cam. You really play a great slide guitar. I really like your songwriting too. Job well done!👍🏻
