  • EPISODE 14: Excavating a creek with the RK 25 Part 1 Culvert Install
    Over the fourth of July weekend we planned a trip to Kentucky to see the land we bought earlier in the year. Angel and Bryce have been looking at improving the land and decided the creek must be excavated and a culvert installed as a starting point to get equipment across the creek and get a base for a future driveway.
    Over the past several months we have also noticed erosion has been taking place and the creek has gotten deeper. This should help stop that problem too. Hopefully, this will also help dry up the land as the beaver dams had created a marshy area.
    The RK 25 Tractor was loaded up on the 14’ trailer and pulled down to southern Kentucky. The trailer is unloaded and the RK 25 is put to work. The backhoe and the frontend loader are essential pieces of equipment to getting the work done, and this tractor did not let us down.

    Enjoyed watching your video. I need to put in a couple culverts in our Western Kentucky property with your Kubota L2502. Liked, and subscribed. Thanks for the informative video! Good luck on getting to 1,000 subs.

    Hey Bryce! I didn't know you had a UA-cam Channel! Pretty cool. That looks like a nice little tractor. I had never seen one in action before. Best of luck with the videos! Neil

      Nice to hear from you Neil! We'd been looking for something that was multi-purpose - forklift, digging, auger, etc. and this seemed to fit the bill! We just started the channel a couple months ago. I hope you are doing well! What's happening with you? Thanks for stopping in!

      @@PeaceIntheValley I'm doing very well. I have twin daughters that keep me in check alongside everything else that is going on. When not busy at work or with the girls I've got a bunch of other things to keep me occupied. I have a UA-cam channel as well and it is a labor of love you could say. I heard you moved to KY but good to see you on your channel. I subbed so I'll check in from time to time. Take care!

      @@digdrivediy We haven't moved to KY...yet. We bought land down there as a potential location for building cabins and hiking/campground. We are in Antwerp, OH now. Are you still around Allen Co? The picture shows flat ground, so looks like here. Your channel is great!

      @@PeaceIntheValley Thanks! Yeah, I just live across the field from where I grew up. We are 8 minutes from Antwerp! I think I even know where you live. I misheard or misunderstood that you left but buying land down there sounds kinda awesome! Good for you guys! I watched a few more of your early vids and have more of an understanding now. Great to hear from you and have fun with all your endeavors! See you around.

    Hello from Louisiana! Loving your property and the tractor action. I know tractors are not cheap, but do you foresee buying other attachments for your loader or 3 point hitch? Enjoying the videos.

      Thanks for sharing. Right now I have the pallet forks, Rotary Cutter, 5' box blade. The most used is probably. pallet forks! I was debating on even getting them, but I would tell anyone to get those first. 3 point equipment is too heavy to try and move by hand. I just got the Piranha bar too. That video is going up Monday!. Thanks for watching!

    Does the Rk have the float function for the loader and the 3 point hitch?

    • @PeaceIntheValley
      @PeaceIntheValley  2 роки тому

      it does for the loader. I'm not sure on the 3 point hitch, though I think it does because it will move up just fine if the implement hits something such as a sidewalk

    I am considering this same tractor.
    Do you feel the horse power is enough , or do think the next level up would be better for what you are doing ?

    • @PeaceIntheValley
      @PeaceIntheValley  2 роки тому

      Good question! The tractor can do a lot! If I had more space in town, where I reside, I probably would go with a larger tractor because I certainly could use it. I believe the hydraulic pump is underpowered compared to the RK24, but that is pure speculation.
      Your decision will be based upon costs and space. Probably go a little bigger if you can.

      The new 25 horse is available now. It heavier, on a slightly bigger frame, more gears. You should check it out. I'm on my second 25 h. Is falling short just like the first. I've had a lot of down time because i expected a small pice of equipment not a play toy. Would have been better of to buy a good used backhoe. I don't abuse it I baby it.
