These guys make it look easy, but it's actually really hard. We've tried, and we suck at it.

    Why fiberglass and not carbon? It's not that much more expensive given the small area...

      Carbon and fiberglass require significantly different core thicknesses, and carbon in particular needs additional vibrational dampening. It's like asking why cars aren't all built out of aluminum, (or carbon fiber) you can do it, but it isn't necessarily better.
