    Can you play through your computer monitors instead of running to your amp? Is there latency issues with Windows 11? Did you have to set up windows with less services when you capture?

      This is designed to connect to your computer not your amp. The amp is being re-amped and recorded into your computer….

      Of course...download them to the app and use the plugin to access all of your presets. USE the standalone app to download and make your presets. Save everything and then run Logic and load your plugins. Everything should be there...

    My amplifier is connected to a cab and the amplifier also has a line out. Can you take the line out of an amplifier and plug it into the input of the interface, or does the interface only accept mic and instrument level input? Thank you.

    • @LonelyRocker
      @LonelyRocker  4 місяці тому

      What type of line out is it? Does the amp have a built in load if it's a tube amp?? The Axe IO One accepts line and mic level. So you can take the line out and go into a line input. Again just make sure you remain connected to a speaker or load if it's a tube amp. If its not a tube amp it doesn't matter. Hope that helps.

      @@LonelyRocker Thank you for your reply. It is a bugera 333xl tube amp. It has a dedicated line out with a level knob that I suppose can be used with a virtual cabIR on a computer. My question is whether the Axe ONE can accept a line level input, or does it only accept a mic or instrument level input? If it doesn't accept a line level input I suppose you cannot plug the output of a tonex pedal or Kemper into the AxeONE for recording. Any thoughts on this? Thanking you in advance.

      I mentioned in my reply to you that the Axe IO One accepts both line and mic levels. And there is a phantom power switch on the unit to connect condenser mics so you have all of the options you need...good luck!

    I don't get how you amp model amps with only 1 input , I bought the Axe I/O one to Model for loading my personal amps to my Tonex pedal .also so i didn't have to spring for more expensive interface or the Tonex captue box.(already own a Focusrite and Presonus) but i don't see a solution for Modeling an amp with one input because the microphone or direct out of the amp goes to the input of the AXE I/O . I thought of recording the signal then re-amping but Tonex plugin in the DAW doesn't have modeling ! no one has been able to answer this question including IK media . so this Interface is useless to me , should i send it back ? , if you can explain how your doing it because you say you are in this video by recording then re-amping but how are you getting that recorded signal to the stand alone Tonex App ??? ,or did I confuse re-amping the way you did in your daw with this being able to capture a model and file it in the Tonex App .

    • @LonelyRocker
      @LonelyRocker  7 місяців тому

      I never said in the video you can ‘model’ amps but you actually can. The reamp out goes out to your amp and the output (if you’re using a load box) or microphone goes back into the one input. You can’t connect a guitar but you can use the internal loops to set levels. There is a video on UA-cam that demonstrates this. Just search creating tone models with Axe IO One.

    Great informative video. Do you know if this would work using a usb-c cable to connect this interface with my 2018 Mac mini, or should I use the included cable with an Apple USB-C to USB Adapter? Also, do you know if you can record both the XLR and instrument input at once? Thank you

    • @LonelyRocker
      @LonelyRocker  9 місяців тому

      Thanks!! I think either cable should work as long as you are connecting directly to your computer. You can only use one input at a time on this interface. If you need more I'd suggest the bigger AXE IO interfaces....

    Nice interface options. Question? I own a Scarlett Solo and it’s latency is very low while playing amp sims, how is the latency with this unit? May be a better option over the Scarlett, love the ability to play through my 5150 with amp out feature. Well done. Thank you

    • @LonelyRocker
      @LonelyRocker  Рік тому +1

      My pleasure! Honestly, latency, I find can occur for a number of reasons. Outside of the interface. It's why I love this amp out feature. I didn't notice anything compared to my focusrite clarett in my tests. But latency can happen, especially later into a project when you have a lot going on. and your CPU plays a part in that as well.

    • @dekonstructing
      @dekonstructing Рік тому +1

      I can chim in here. I own the Axe I/O but I suspect the drivers are the same base code for all the new IK interfaces. While your CPU/bus speed/RAM can determine how low you can get your audio buffer. Typically 128 is "standard". However I can say the IK interface drivers are EXCELLENT. I have a Ryzen 9 5950X system and I can run amp sims at 44.1/48KHz as low as 8 buffer sample. When I ran my interface on a 11th Gen i5 laptop I was still able to use 16 buffer just fine is I was using a single amp sim. This means you will get incredibly low latency RTL (round trip latency) how long it takes to hit the AD converts then back out to the DA conveters (what you hear when connected to the outputs). I'be owned Audient, MOTU, M-Audio, PT Mbox interfaces and the IK HANDS DOWN wins in quality and amaingly well coded drivers. I don't own a MacOS system but my results were based on using Win10 and Win11 x64.

    forgive me if you've covered this in a prior video.... I'm using a Tascam 2x2 interface to DI my electric guitars, and the sound is quite thin and distant. I can't seem to get the guitars to sound full and up front. Could this be the quality of the interface or am I doing something wrong with how I'm recording? (or both)? I'm not going crazy on plugins - using Helix and Logic amps, some EQ and reverb. Would the Axe I/O be a step forward?

      MY PLEASURE! The license is generally attached to the serial number. I'm not sure how it works with IK but the seller should unregister it and let you register the product. If it let's you then it may give you the software. If not then you might be stuck. Certainly would be worth getting this new so you get all of the perks but try registering the serial number snd see what happens. Good luck!

      @LonelyRocker  Рік тому

      Awesome! Enjoy it! Glad Ic an help! You can Capture an Amp with Tonex. There is a simplified setup since it's only one input. You can't connect a guitar in this setup but TONEX uses the internal guitar loops. This is a live capture that runs through your amp. IK has good schematics in their users manual but the setup in TONEX is pretty self-explanatory. Good luck!

    If capturing using this interface's re amp circuit and Tonex software ... how does this compare with using the Tonex Capture hardware (box)?

    • @LonelyRocker
      @LonelyRocker  Рік тому

      Putting this into proper perspective, the Capture Box offers more flexibility with more on board controls and it's a solidly built unit. So I can assume it has higher end components. But it is also an additional cost. It also involves more cabling while the AXE IO will make capturing so much simpler. I haven't done a direct comparison but I'm certain the IO will perform well...

      Being playing the electric guitar for almost a year. I have a solar s2.6c guitar a marshall code 25 amp. My main goal is to get the guitar tones of the bands i like and with the tone practice their songs. Thats why i got the digital amp that can simulate pedals and effects but as i understand audio interface with simulated amps and pedals does it much better and have much more variety of tones.
      I just want to understand the simple stuff like if i plug my guitar to the audio interface while its connected to the pc, can i set guitar using the software that comes with it and it will shape the tone live as i play the guitar through the monitors with what i set in the software?
      And not that the guitar tone shaping can be done only on a recorded track because its need time to render or something like that?
      Thank you very much!

    Hi there, new to all this so apologies for the long question. I'm looking to put together Tracktion Waveform DAW, with Amplitube 5max and Tonex max. I assume this would give me all the possible combinations that i would ever need. I have an old Pod X3 live which i think i can use as an audio interface but really like the look of the Tonex pedal, as i will only be playing at home and not live etc is it worth buying the Tonex pedal or stick with the X3 live? Alternatively there is the Axe IO one or Axe IO, but as I would only ever be recording one thing at time I assume there would be no need to go for the Axe IO? Sound will be by output to studio monitor speakers as s I'm restricted for space. Thanks in advance for any advice..

    • @LonelyRocker
      @LonelyRocker  10 місяців тому

      Choosing an interface comes down to IO. What are you connecting to it. Hooking up speaker monitors? You need at least 2 outputs. Want to record a microphone? You need a mic input. Want to use a condenser mic? You need phantom power. Want to record a good DI guitar signal? A JFET/Instrument input comes in handy. Want to add inputs later on? Then you may want an optical input. So list all of the things you need and get the one that services that need. Hope that helps!

    • @peterdavies7868

      @@LonelyRockerThanks for the reply, I will only be plugging one thing in at a time (Guitar or Mic), then usb in to the Laptop/DAW and stero outputs to the monitors so the Axe IO One seems to be the best and most cost effective option. As the Tonex pedal gives the same input/output options as the IO One am I correct in saying that the only reason for me to spend more and get the pedal is if I was planning to take the sounds out of the house i.e. gigging? I am only intending to play in the house plugged into the laptop DAW/Monitors etc then it's a lot more money for functionality that I probaly don't need?
