HOW TO REMOVE THE entire CUTTING HEAD FROM a 25cc Craftsman Trimmer.

- Recently I was motivated to redo a video because a viewer bought to my attention that I had not accomplished what I claimed in the title. This is a redo of a video I did nearly two years ago called "How to remove the cutting head from a 25cc Craftsman trimmer. Realizing that the viewer was technically correct I decided to make another video showing the complete removal of the head assembly. In the first video I did not complete the process even though all that is required is to pull the top section off the end of the trimmer shaft, no tools needed for this step. Thanks for watching and I hope this video helps someone as much as the first.

Thanks for the video, this would lead me to believe that a universal trimmer head doesn't fit on a craftsman trimmer. Correct?
No. I think some universals will. Most come with adapters for female or male ends.
Does it matter which way washer on back of head goes. Thanks
Make sure the clip washer on the inside is replaced the exact way you remove it. The washer that goes on just before the screw shouldn't matter, it's just a flat washer. Thanks for watching!
Nice but i need to replace the whole head assembly as the gears inside are worn out. I have a 27cc. Craftman. Where can i buy the ful head assembly?
Good question. I’m sure you’re going to have to order it offline possibly. I know I didn’t help. Best I can do.
Are you able to put a speed feed head on there or does that female end not allow it?
Not sure about that. I’ll have to do more research on that.
I'm watching your video, my question is where are you puttin screwdriver, so you break loose the bolt?
Great question Sir. After you remove the bottom of the head assembly the two tab holes will be left open. Put your screw driver through either one, pretty much as far as you can and hold in place while you unscrew the bolt.
Now, show how to add a brush cutting blade . . .
If I ever find one that fits and is safe, I will. I was told to never add blades to curved shafts but I guess a person could do what they want. Thanks for watching!
