Yes as I work alone time is in short supply. I use chat GPT for my descriptions 😁. I also use it as my chat bot on my website. Thank you for watching my video. 🫡 Glad you liked it.

Nice, video but I think the music is very distracting.

Your music is fine man. Your voice is always over the music, and it is clear. Some people on here are very picky and can never be made happy. The music is nice and relaxing as well. Great video!

i have short in the fuse code q. up side of fuse 4ohm reading
removing the mosfet its still 0.4ohm

There is another possible short. You will will need to inject voltage to identify the second short. 😁

watch this video. ua-cam.com/video/yG4LOqMFQL4/v-deo.html there is a 0R resistor that supplies 12v to the regulator. check if the 0R resistor is still 0 or changed value. it is known to fail if there is short on 12V. watch complete video you will understand.

Hey, I think my 3090 just died..
So basically was editing a Video in davinci resolve. turned on noise reduction on the highest setting (quite gpu intensive), but should have been no issue for a 3090. Suddenly my monitor turned black, and the fans ran up to 100%. turned off my pc and restarted it. Then i tried to replicate the issue to figure out whats causing it. After the second time the pc completly turned off, and it stayed off. No fans at 100%. It doesent even turn on anymore. installed my old 1060 and it starts up fine. With the 3090 nothing happens, its like the pc has no power at all. I googled and found that people had a very similar issue back when new world was released. Same thing seemed to happen. Now| wonder what can do about it. Its a gigabyte 3090 gaming Oc, and i have a 750w seasonic focus gold psu. The GPU has been out of warranty for 1 month..
    would appreciate any help

Something on your GPU just shorted. Possibly a MOSFET on the 12v rail. Your GPU does not have fuses so do not try to start the computer with the 3090 installed. It will make the damage worse. This 3090 would need a repair.

I don't have one. It's a good suggestion, I will consider buying one or making one myself.

    Hello,
First of all thank you for your very helpful videos.
I am fixing a MSI rtx 3070 ti which has a shorted 12v pwr Rail. The short was caused by one of the phase fet driver. Now i have all voltages and everything looks fine except the card is not being detected by the system.
Ihave measured the 27 mhz oscillator near the GPU chip and it is not generating the 27 MHZ. I have measured the resistance to ground on the input pin it seems to be not connected. The output side reads 0.6 mega ohm which is perfect.
I am not sure if the ball under the gpu is cracked or something else cause that.
Could you please help me figure it out

Now there are lots of things to consider here. If the short has caused the 12v to shoot to the core then the core is already dead. A short on the phase will not cause solder balls to crack under the core. Now being optimistic there are few checks you can do. One measure the resistance on 1.8v, PEX and Memory. Second check PEX reset, reference clock plus and minus reset in diode mode and also check the first pair of data lines too in diode mode. Can you put these readings in the comment please so I too have a clear picture. Now if all of these readings are good and still there is no fr quency on the clock the last option keeping some line of hope is the reball the core. As off now with the current information you have provided for me it looks like a dead core. But let's not give up so easily.

      Thank you for your response.
      Pex_rst_buf signal is good 1.8v.
All voltage rails are good and present.
Just the oscillator input pin has no voltage which means the core is dead as you said. Thank you for your help

      It's a dead core.

    • @GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql
      @GraphicsCardRepairs-tk7ql  6 місяців тому

There are lots of things to consider if there is power but no image. There could be issue with memory or hdmi connector or something else. But it's a wild guess. But exact problem I can tell you if you either send the card to me for repairs or if you are willing to open it yourself if you have the skills.
