I've had the 5 door euro version producing 270 hp stock as my daily driver during the last 2 years. Power is perfect for my driving skills, the handling is great, feels super balanced and can tackle any road surface you throw at it, wet/icy/dry. I intend to keep it stock. The only upgrade i have is the head unit: the 2015 beetle/tiguan head unit is a drop in replacement, and has a bigger screen, with a good resolution and has carplay. I really couldn't want more in a car, especially considering the 16k eur i've paid for it. It looks even better with the 18 inch mk5 gti wheels i got for the winter, but in order to maintain the stock look I will be keeping the 18 original talladegas for the summer season.
this is a fuckin wicked car ! one of the funnest cars ive drove drove my buddies the other day 2009 stock i hit 140 km in 3rd gear i was impressed! when the turbo kicks in its pretty dece im an s2000 owner and im sure this car will give me a good run for my money !
How do you like it compared to your ST, the RS, and big turbo ST? I just got out of the Fords (had a FiST and FoST) and bought a MK7 GTI. Seems to me the VW's respond to mods much better.
It was really a whole different driving experience. Both this Golf R and the Focus RS handled great so it's hard to say which is better. Compared to my ST though, this R blew it out of the water. But my STs stock suspension and all season tires are probably a big reason why. How are you enjoying your GTI so far? I know VW underrates those things from factory
Nice. I'm enjoying the GTI, its a much nicer place to be since I do a ton of miles. As far as performance I think it's about dead even with my Focus ST. Nice thing about the new GTIs is a tune only will probably run a full bolt on Focus ST.

that makes more sense🙂👍 running stage R software and BSR optiflow kit on mine, euro spec. stated 330hp+ video at "golf R hard launch" awesome cars, 0-60 in about 4.3sec 1.4bar steady boost (peak about 1.8/1.9) nice car there👍
thats good👍 great car👌 thats 340-350ish @crank dynoed.. people forget the difference between tuned to and dynoed..👍 check out qwt.no for hardware browsing. i could need a adjustable Haldex unit.. its snowy here now😆 we're lucky to have 98 pump gas here, it helps a little. but everything is stupidly expensive here.. envy your prices.. have a good one👍🏎

Try to keep that R32 . I have a Golf R 2013 and i like it but it ain't a R32 .
I wish they were like a 2.2 or something but they are fast especially modified. Id rather auto though
I want to buy a golf 6 r20. Does it have defects that people complain about and do you advise me to buy it please help me choose

IE claims 320 to AWHP and 397 AW torque.

My car made 262awhp. It's just a dyno lol. I went 12.4 at 109 mph
It's worth noting that it made 313 whp with just the front wheels hooked up. This was done on a dynapack hub dyno

Have not driven any R32 so I can't say.
my 2k12 golf 6 gtd .. stage 1 has 205 whp :)...and this one only 265 :( sad
its 262 All wheel HP, You are only front wheel drive, If he unlocked the rear wheels it would be 340whp...
