Do a larger light. So like a large umbrella (5 foot) and get it as close to subject as possible. Thos softens the light amd makes the light fall off less sharp. Meaning less shadows
Yes I mentioned it very briefly but I try to not mess with it too much and I sometimes don’t put it on depending on the group size as it only works on one face at a time right now. If it’s on, it’s on low settings for the skin smoothing feature
Yes! I linked it in the description as well. It has a little lip that just hangs over the atlas. It’s black the outside and white on the inside (the part that lies against the backdrop)
Great video, as usual! Question, where/how can I buy those extensions for the Atlas backdrop? I haven't even taken mine out of the box since I got my Fiesta package (I assume they're in there somewhere! lol ).
What's the difference between a white backdrop and getting a one-sided backdrop and just using the white backside as a backdrop? Is there something that makes the white backdrop what it is? I've looked at Pbbackdrops and noticed that their one-sided backdrops are white on the backside. That would seem to be more cost effective than ordering a separate white backdrop or specifying white as the second side of something else.
You could! In fact when I first started that’s what I did, as long as you have the blackout curtain so that if you have light coming in from behind the other design doesn’t shine through. For my business and through a lot of practice, white on both sides made more sense as there were many instances when I found my white backdrop getting dirty, and I could quickly flip it around to the clean side easily.
I wish! You would see the black through the white. It is still fabric so it has bleed through. The blackout curtain isn’t the same fabric, it’s completely opaque and blocks all light. The backdrop is still permeable to light unfortunately. I made that mistake and got a printed backdrop on the back of the white. And in order to use it for glam i have to insert it between the layers which is a huge pain and difficult to do. So I don’t recommend it! What I love about a double sided white is that if you get one side dirty for whatever reason, you can flip it to the back and no one will ever know 😉
@@ownyourmomentco if I’m printing 4x6 it probably be practical to do it on the software itself as an overlay. I never actually touched the program with its text/font features. Only created my own templates. So this is different for me. What do you typically do in this scenario?
I actually prefer to include it in the template. Since the software I use makes duplicates of the template. I typically like to give the guests the option of having their photo with the monogram and then without. That only happens with the template. An overlay is like a watermark, and the option isn’t there to offer it without. I’d say the way I do it though isn’t the norm. Most do it as an overlay.
Thank you! This information really helped!
So glad to hear! Thanks for watching!
Great tutorial, Nicole!!! Thank you!! Can't wait to try this out!!
Yay! And I can’t wait to see!

Thank you for this great tutorial. We will be testing this out.
Glad it was helpful!
Do you also mess with the GLAM settings on Salsa (not the camera setting) or keep it at the default settings? GREAT VIDEO BTW :)

Can you please share more about the blackout curtain? Is that something you also purchased via PB Backdrops? How do you attach it to your atlas stand?

Yes they’re included in the bag! It’s a little plastic bag that has the extenders (think it’s with the gloves). But it should definitely be there!
@Own Your Moment Co ok, I'll check it out. Thanks for your reply, keep up the good work!
Can I ask how do you put the signature at the left hand of the photo?
In canva! Put the text in the corner and then download it as a transparent layer. Then upload it as either an overlay or as a full 4x6 template.
What do you like better for glam , the soft box or the umbrella?
Definitely the soft box!

Would I be able to buy the double sided backdrop with black on one side and white on the other side ? Would that work ?

Thank you for your response! You’re so helpful. Love your videos and recommendations ❤
Also what iPad do you use?
12.9” iPad Pro
Hello! What type of lighting fixture are you using above the booth?
They are all linked in the description!
How do you add the text onto the image itself?
Either as an overlay or as a part of the template design

How can i find you on face group?
The Photo Booth Collab!
why would you drop to 1/60th in a photobooth? People are moving and that'll cause motion blur. Keep it above 1/125 in my opinion .
Haven’t had any issues with motion blur
