Hi Andy, as an Eastoft resident really enjoyed your video. There is at least one feature you missed off. Had you walked slightly further down Washinghall Lane you would have seen a Royal Observer Corps monitoring point in the field to the right. It was to monitor nuclear attacks on RAF Finningley. In the TV Film Threads, Finningley is attacked and the report sent through to the officials sheltering in the basement of the council offices. Had this been for real, that report would have originated in Eastoft and perhaps the post at Epworth also. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Observer_Corps_Monitoring_Post Other notable features include the house in front of the school which is the former headteacher's house from the original school and is still referred to as the Schoolhouse. The gable wall shows where the school room would have been. To the right of the church the last house on the left as you head towards Swinefleet used to be the vicarage. It's now a private house. There is also a boat full of very lovely plants and flowers which is maintained by the very active gardening club. They also look after the Washing Hole green. They have won several awards for their amazing efforts. A number of businesses including agriculture, building and camper van conversion are based in Eastoft employing many local people from both Eastoft and the surrounding area. Remember being at swinefleet school back in 1990/91 year 6 n eastoft school kids came to watch us play in a play Cinderella where i played Prince Charming lol n was so embarrassing lol I literally didn’t even wana play the role lol
