Your courtyard is just amazing. I love all the shades of green and different textures. I love shade plants so much, but I have a south facing garden. I try to squeeze in as many as I can though! Really inspiring, Chip. Thank you!
Thank you 🤠 so happy you enjoyed.. I too love the shade plants & am lucky that the courtyard is mostly in shade & the trees also help on really sunny summer days to keep it cool 🌳🌳👍🏼 have a fabulous day & happy gardening 🌱 Chip

Hi there Chips 😊 catching up on your videos and I just love your courtyard garden. Hard to believe it’s only 2 1/2 years old and your plants are all in pots (some over 20 years)!! So beautiful and I love your font. One word comes to mind … lush ❤
I spy with my little eye! Poor gypsy boy, I'd have done the same, only I'd have blamed it on Spud! 🤣🤣🤣 The new planting is going to look fabulous, love the grasses. x
So amazing to see the transformation! Nice to know that shrubs and trees can live so long in pots. What a sanctuary you’ve built for yourselves and Spud! Well done! I always enjoy the topiary grooming, I hope you’ll share it. 🌿🌿🌿🌱🌸😃

I do love your pretty courtyard garden. All those details brings the garden together in a lush way. We are planing to move into a terrace house with a courtyard at the back of the property. Unfortunately, it is all concrete and walls. So I am looking for inspiration for what and how to make the yard, lush green and wildlife friendly, also a peaceful relaxing paradise. I have found the inspiration on your channel. I would like to have a question for you if you do not mind. How would we be able to place other layer of pebbles or brick onto the concrete floor to make sure there is enough drainage and does not get waterlogged. Thank you.
Hi there, I hear you and that’s the tricky part, it may be best to take up part of the concrete in small areas to allow drainage, i would recommend cutting out small squares were the water can exist, using a small stone cutter it sounds hard but not impossible then once you have the water exists cut fill with pebbles 👍🏼 I’ve done something similar to my new yard as under the concrete slabs there was another layer of bricks so no drainage at all so I lifted some slabs then dug down to remove the bricks and fill with gravel 👍🏼 see the space in the link below ⬇️ Hope that helps and sorry about the last reply, all the best and good luck with it all 🌱 Chip Design Creating a Magical Courtyard Garden: ua-cam.com/video/90Jqqf30VJA/v-deo.html
