    That was one of the best and most enjoyable videos I have seen in a long time, if ever !
    No obnoxious B.G music looping. No apoplectic MTV style scene change every 3 seconds.
    And I was stoked you added some of the descent :)

    One spectacular position after another! So refreshing to watch climbing as it is: without the fake bro-banter and extreme music. Keep 'em coming, with longer edits too! It's really nice to watch the scenery in the background.

    The exposure and wind/weather is crazy. What an awesome climb, so pure and traditional. Massive respect brothers. I’ve climbed with some great guys and these dudes are fluid, there with the very best. The determination and ability it takes to climb that feature is unthinkable. Amazing stuff.

    Awesome adventure and a safe return, a good climbing team! The climbing footage from the belayers positions worked well - too many climbing videos are from active climber helmet cams and are always bobbing around and lack perspective. Thanks for sharing this excellent video of a climb most of us will probably never do; this is the next best thing.

    Superb, Thanks, I remember a trip in Bubaboos, a long time ago... in 1976....Superbe souvenir mais les glaciers étaient beaucoup plus gros, le temps peu clément, merci pour ces images....Jean louis from France (Briançon)

    Looks like you boys had a great day out! Envious. Was in Bugaboos in '85. One of the driest summers in Canadian Rockies history....came to an end when we arrived. Got East Post and Pigeon, then completely skunked by the weather for the rest of the trip. Snowline below the hut. If it weren't for badluck..... Packed out early, bought multiple packs of Okanagan ciders, and steeped in various hotsprings for days.

    Very well done. I just want to know how much gear you both are carrying. I’m trying to get into mountaineering instead of just hiking and climbing gyms. A gear layout would be cool to see.

    • @joh22293
      @joh22293 Місяць тому +2

      I'd advise you to try and make friends with someone at the climbing gyms that also climbs outdoors and get them to show you their rack of equipment. You could standardise most climbers' setups for an 'average' climb (a set of nuts - with duplicates of the middle sizes that you use more, some small to medium cams, 12-15 quick draws, selection of slings just about sums it up), but quite often you know in advance you need extras of a certain size of nut or cam (or whatever) because the pro placements are well-known and obviously you need a fair bit more kit for a big climb like this compared to some roadside crag. It's also great to learn coming up second on a rope so you get to remove all the pro placed by your more experienced leader.
