I've watched this every day for a week, and no sign of stopping.
Almost 19 years of my life loving interpol and Paul Banks. One of my favorite bands ever. I miss the beginning of loving this band for the first time.
I remember finding Antics in my dad’s CD collection after hearing them for the first time with Obstacle 1 on guitar hero. I just sat there with my eyes closed listening to it over and over not sure why it didn’t sound like Obstacle 1, until it sunk in that this was unlike anything I’ve ever heard or understood before. Truly some of the best musicians I’ve experienced in my life.

Turn on the Bright Lights was the album that made me an Interpol fan. The bass lines on that album helped write bass lines in a band I was in at the time! Truly influential!!!
I remember sitting in the library one night at ASU in 2002 and I heard obstacle 1 on some internet site while studying. I left the library immediately and went to warehouse records and bought the CD and listened to the whole album in my car in that parking lot. I can’t explain just how refreshing they were after a long hard grungy 90s. (Not like I didn’t love the music of the 90s).

I believe it. I hear Sam is a family man and he brings his family along on tour. Interpol had their drug phase early on, but I still have always seen them as good people. Paul was nice when I saw him in Pittsburgh also.
This album didnt get its due. Super underrated

Después de tantos años sigue siendo mi concierto favorito, me recuerda las navidades con mi mamá (quien falleció) y con mi papá con quién vendía bolsas en un mercado de carnes. Era regresar y escuchar semejantes rolones, eso sí, un manjar cenar con mis viejos ❤
Recuerdo comer ciruelas envueltas en tocineta y beber cerveza barata en un sotano.

Well here is a superb production level! Congratulations to competent technical team KEXP, audio, video, cameras. And, although it seems to me, Paul Banks, grew as a musician (from times of band Interpol), modulated vocals and more melodic, less syncopated, seems to abandon this way of giving us his "warnings" all the time. Peace.

Hey, most of these tracks are from Paul's second solo album which was released under the title 'Banks' but a few of them are from his first solo album which was released under the name 'Julian Plenti.' Just letting you know so you can grab everything if you haven't already. Also - Interpol released the first single of their next album today called 'The Rover.'

You know, when I first heard that Interpol sounded a lot like Joy Division, I thought it was one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.. but after listening to Paul Banks, I realize his live performances have a deeper voice tone, just like Ian Curtis..
So, I guess comparing Paul's voice with Ian's isn't a stupid idea at all..
KEXP, please make a session with The National!!
One of my all time favorites, we lost ian curtis too soon, at least Interpol lasted a lifetime. Cant wait for live show season.
