Kudos to whoever found and edited Martin Sheen putting on a coat 👍🏻
That's how they teach you in preschool
I laughed too hard at that sequence
No
One arm is shorter than the other, which is why Mr. Sheen puts on his jacket in a quirky way.
especially for the one in the background out of focus behind CJ, that's a deep cut.
Paul Banks grabbing a vinyl of John Frusciante...that just blew my mind. One of my favorite musician talking about one of my favorite musicians from anothrr period, thats insane
That is exactly how I felt... seeing that just blew my mind...
His solo stuff is so much better than the band he plays in
Super deep cut
Paul Banks is so cool
he's my hero.
Why Carlos, why?
Hahn k F you should listen to one of our new singles if you’re into post-punk!
Minus points for wearing your hat on indoors
Someone knows whats the song with the reverse effect of the jhon´s frusciante album?
Daniel has incredible music taste. From bad brains to pj Harvey. ✨🙌🏼
Martin Sheen does have the best coat technique.
The coat thing was amazing
Right before he got tossed off the roof in The Departed was my fav.
SoggyFries got a light
the martin sheen supercut had me rolling on the floor 😭
I love this band. So underrated. I feel bad for people who don't listen to their hauntingly beautiful sound. Hope they keep making amazing music ❤️
One of the greatest bands of this generation.
No.

Daniel Kessler is the MAN
He also doesn't seem to age 😳
Confession: I became a pescetarian mainly because he is. That’s how much of a role model he is to me.
hell yeah
Only one with decent picks lol
John Frusciante Niandra Lades. The most underrated solo album ever.
Sublime album!
(magic)
4th dimension
One of my favs
I love a cult, fancy & intellectual band
Marina you should listen to one of our new singles if you’re into post-punk! Would appreciate it thank you 🖤
@@moodofasinner Cringeworthy.
i see interpol, i click.
my dad beats me
You must be a simple man
I must be a simple man too ;)
I see an original comment, I reply.
Jojo dogo
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
The editing in this episode is great! Good job constantly stringing visual connections between the choices & the bands stories :)
Editing is amaazing ! loved that Aphex part
They have really leveled up in the editing department in the last couple of months!
It’s way too late
to be watching this video
The trouble is
that I can’t get too sleep
It should be me
I should be asleep
Excellent! 😂
Brilliant.

Please get Thom Yorke Amoeba!!
He was just in LA. We'll see in the next few week or months if they got him or not.
@@_CoasterNinja sweet!
@@_CoasterNinja He has a second home in LA as well, so there's a pretty big chance if you ask me.
He'll be choosing aphex twin records
Yeah it'll be.90% 12" techno and ID singles and probably a few movies or something
The best indie band ever, usually I listen heavy metal but interpol never disappoint
I celebrate the myriad ways that I love these guys including referencing their lyrics when I talk about them
you rock!
I see what you did their
Clever
Connan mockasin pfp is goated
Martin Sheen puts on his coat like that because he sevierly injured his shoulder and he learned how to swing it like that because that's the only way he can get his coat on.
Aaron Ruesch Martin Sheen
And now you know.....the rest of the story.
when life gives you lemons, invent a new way to dress yourself
Aaron Ruesch you should listen to one of our new singles if you’re into post-punk!
This reminds me of the way Jonathan Frakes approaches chairs before sitting, due to a back injury. Google "the Riker maneuver" (which btw sounds like an Interpol song title 🤭).
Starting off 2019 right
Clicked right away.
In nearly every one of these videos, regardless of my familiarity, or feelings about the artist, I come away with something new that piques my curiosity. Thanks for this series, Amoeba!
Piques.
so true , i watch these videos and instantly go into huge financial debt
Exactly! Who knew Paul Banks may have a "Master and Commander" tattoo?
John Frusciante and Aphex Twin. Can't complain with that at all!!! Great taste
no.

Was going to make the same comment! It’s so Dewy and fresh. No wrinkles. I wonder if he gets Botox ? They are a handsome Trio!😍
Vegan diet and no cigarretes
@@Carlos_RodriguesS2 Agreed. Vegans age pretty well. Isn't Jared Leto a vegan and he looks really young. And Woody Harrelson too. I'm not a vegan btw. Just an observation.
props for scouring the martin sheen footage for finding clips of him putting on coats.
Their picks were very good but holy eff this is a well put together video
It’s always refreshing to hear musicians geek out about their contemporaries and their influences.
Hell yeah, that Jesu pick. I interviewed Sam way back in the day, for Antics tour. Wish I would've known his love for Industrial music, we could've geeked out on it.
I was surprised he'd be so into electronic stuff and not know Jk Broadrick or Godflesh. Hopefully that Jesu opens the old doors for him. Plus Godflesh would be great guests on this show, since they just played an LA festival.
@@Neenerella333 well he is making electronic music at home
Yeah, I just saw Godflesh in Oakland, would be awesome to see Justin on this show.
MrLando0 Sam is the coolest! omg. Him mentioning Wax Trax took me wayyy back lol. I had to dig out my Propaganda, Ministry and Dominatrix records... good times.
Stay in Touch 🖤🖤🖤
Natalia Vargas you should listen to one of our new singles if you’re into post-punk! Would appreciate it thank you 🖤
Fave band ever. Thanks!
Turn on the bright lights and Antics. Best things to come out at the turn of the century.
I thought this was a great episode until the appearance of P.J. Harvey 's To Bring You My Love... Then it became a perfect episode!
The production/editing on these videos are always SO GOOD. Thanks so much for these, Amoeba!
William Moffat you should listen to one of our new singles if you’re into post-punk!
So happy to see Frusc's _Niandra Lades and Usually just a Tshirt_ on the list. What an overlooked gem.
Niadra Ladies!!? Sickk i fell in love with that album in 10th grade and still trip out to it often. Inspiring to know i can relate to another musician like Paul!
Both Daniel (Interpol) and Mike Shinoda (Linkin Park) picked the Richard D. James album. Who would guess? That's why I love this!
These guys have such great taste in music. I discovered liars from this video, I paused the video and went to Apple Music and grabbed their whole discography and listened to the album he picked and I’m so excited to have something new and weird to listen to.
I already own everything else they pulled out physical and digital.
these videos are always a great way to discover new music. This series alone has opened me up to new music and and led me down a rabbit hole of finding so much diverse, amazing sights and sounds.
I watch every episode even when I have no idea who is in the episode, even people I can’t stand I watch it and find something I like from their bag.
Just hearing the liars? What a treat. The self titled album and Drums Not Dead are my picks from them.
The lead singer of The Liars dated the lead singer of The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. "M.A.P.S." by the Yeahs is about him.
Holy shit, when he pulled out that Frusciante record... Never expected to see it haha! One of the greatest albums of all time for me
I know the song Sam is looking for on that Die Warzau album. It’s “Strike To The Body” I used to dance to that track in Chicago many moons ago
Cool John Frusciante. I thought I was crazy for loving that album. I’m glad,I’m not alone.
Damn, it's been some years since I was a teen (2003?), and did nothing but sit in my room and listen to Interpol all day, trying to find every single interview and random videos of them on the net. This was pre UA-cam, mind you.
Not an Interpol fan , but hats off to dude who bought frusciante first album.
I also have it.
It's a fucking masterpiece period.
Stay In Touch Aaaahhhhhhh
Right?! I feel like that one is mad underrated lol
@@TrinoElrich best song on the album, and one of their best in general
@@slayerBO2EPC Agreed.
So cool Paul likes Drive and Only God Forgives, as Interpol is my favorite band and Drive my favorite film
Matthew Botha glad to see Paul is a man of culture...OGF is an underrated masterpiece.
Martin Sheen coat observation and montage was the best thing I've seen in a long time
I like the dude on the left for picking up new stuff to check out... stuff he's not entirely sure about. So many WIMB episodes have people holding court on records they already own.
agreed I love it when they treat it like a regular trip to the record store and not an opportunity to virtue signal
Interpol is great very proud of my fellow New Yorkers
So dope to hear these legends
Interpol = Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Daniel Melo love the band but wouldn’t that be a stretch?
Can't name a single song by them. Not saying they're bad, it's just a stretch.
They really don't need to be there, only in my heart
Don’t think so buddy. At lest not yet.
they have been there since the first record
would love to see james murphy and julian, but with the strokes this time on amoebe someday!!! and jens lekman!!!!
jens!!!!!!!!!
Big yes to Jens
Man, what a great episode. Thank you for this series.
MASTER AND COMMANDER! Banks has risen to new heights.
This made me really want to see Justin Broadrick (Godflesh, Jesu, Techno Animal) in this series *-*
(...also jk flesh)
I SECOND THIS MOVEMENT.
Bad Brains! That album is legendary. Good pick Daniel.
I see why I love Interpol so much. The sound of their collective good taste.
Great choices from a great band.
These guys are seen really cool and humble! Can’t wait to check out their recommendations!
I wish I could like this a dozen times. Love these guys.
ANOTHER great episode. Thanks!
What a beautiful taste of music, i love Interpol even more know
I love Interpol and Paul Banks in particular. ❤️
This is why I adore them. Every single selection I could have easily picked for myself. 😍😍😍😍😍
Love these guys! "Roland" is my all time favorite song by them.
Love these guys so much. 7th grade was when I got into them, I’m 27 now and I’m still a huge huge fan.
thank you Amoeba, i was waiting so long for this!!!
Hell yeah thanks so much for this!
I've never been so excited to watch a video before in my life! Paul's hat is so cool...
Every time a new episode of this comes out, I know I will most likely have hours of new music and movies to enjoy and learn about.
Gonna see these guys on march they are awesome
That was great.. Jesu, Badlands and P.J. Harvey are personal favs of mine as well!!
That was awesome! Thank you Amoeba
Every single pick right there is so good
Omg if I saw them in a music store!? We've only seen them 5 times! ❤
True story: One time my hubby was having a particularly tough day, some setbacks. It was a heavy heavy day, but on this day we had tickets to go see Interpol with Blonde Redhead. The show was amazing! But at the end of the show, Sam walked up to the edge of the stage and handed my hubby his stix. The same stix he used to play their amazing set. It was so awesome! It was like a confirmation that things were going to be ok. Brings tears to my eyes because he really needed something good to happen. I'll never forget that show.
Love your music!
Nooo way! Awesome
i love your music Interpol !!!!!! fan curling so hard!!!!!
Wow, I'm a huge PJ Harvester fan too!
2019 starting off with a bang! Good work.

I saw Liars open for Radiohead eleven years ago. It was still daylight out and the amphitheater was still filling in with people and I felt like my brothers and I were the only people there having our skin peeled off by them.
Love love love Interpol 😊
Loved this! And yeah Only God Forgives is a brilliant movie
Excellent episode
when he said “im paul” i was hoping for the other guy to say “im inter”
That’s genius! I get your sense of humor.
Nice job on the editing for all these videos Amoeba.
Great band, with great taste in music!
Esto es hermoso. Gracias
Great interview!
FINALLY!!!
Paul Banks' speaking voice is a surprise
Good band and good selections. It's the first time I've ever heard anybody else ever reference Die Warzau. That was some great industrial/electronica for its time. Very cool.
Holy frock thank you so much
I got so excited when Paul brought out niandra lades such a weird beautiful cool album makes me love him even more
I've been waiting for this for sooooooooo long.
OMG! I love that Die Warzau record! It's actually sitting on my turntable right now.
Great and interesting picks!
DK giving love to Roy gives me life ❤ I love their picks! This was well worth the wait! 💞
