They should have filmed this, what an opportunity they missed. This is all the same a great listen. I respect Tim on several levels, he’s intelligent, talented, has a great sense of humor, and is always dignified while remaining humble.

I spent my freshman year of college 79-80 in my dormitory upper bunk with a large poster of Frankenfurter Curry in the garter belt over my bed...LOL! Still am a fan.

This was absolutely wonderful, thank you. Are you unable to upload the second song for copyright reasons or indeed did the recording finish before he sang? If you do have it and you're able to upload it - that would be much appreciated!

This was a great Q&A. I could listen to Tim talk all day. Wonderful to hear him share his experiences, especially the stories from the set of Legend. A shame the recording finished before we could hear his second song.

What an absolute delight with some great insight on the film & theatre industry. Further supports the fact of how dedicated he's always been to his work.

This is so much fun to listen to. Thank you so much for posting this. I love hearing about his process and his thoughts and feelings about his work and influences. Of course, as always, there is that Curry charm.....
I agree with Mrs. LaGuardiax. If you could post the second song as well, that'd be swell!

This is an excellent series and I thank you for making it available.
What would be interesting is to have some of these fine voices BACK to UCLA now that their careers and ideas have had time to mature and see how they feel about things today. How has time seasoned thier views of live.

I'm confused by the time it says this was recorded. It says 1988, but because of his voice it seems clear to me that this had to have been around the late 90's / early 2000s. His voice was a lot softer and a little higher in the 80's and before that, and as he's aged it's gotten deeper and a little heartier. (Though it always has been.) I don't know, can anybody explain this? Because at the same time people are saying that they saw him in the play very recently, which was only in the 80s, so my brain is so confused! I mean... Go look at Wiseguy or The Hunt for Red October, his voice definitely didn't sound this way around 88-89. But if you look at The Three Musketeers and past that, he sounds more like this. I'm not trying to throw shade, I'm just confused. 😭
I wish they would have filmed this so that it could be much more clear what age he was.

Interesting question, but I'm nearly certain the date is correct: Here is the UCLA Daily Bruin article about his talk: archive.org/details/ucladailybruin113losa/page/n425/mode/2up?q=curry

@@UCLADrasninArchive That's so interesting! My brain is still confused because of the way his voice sounds in this, but I greatly appreciate you trying to help clear it up! I'll do a little more research on it for sure. Thank you for posting this video anyways, I've really enjoyed listening to it despite the confusion. ❤
(I looked into it some and I've cleared it up in my head, haha. Thank you very much for responding and helping me to understand.)
