I TRIED very hard to like her. REALLY. But I Just saw the latest Food Network Star. You would think that HER food cures diseases because criticizing her gets you booted off. I don't care who your grandfather was, what culinary school your family was rich enough to send you to, or how many cooking shows you're been on - it doesn't make you BETTER than anyone else. The shade, side-eye & borderline hysterical rants she hurled at people who disagreed with her were unprofessional. As a chef she should learn to work more with honey than vinegar 😎

Giada-ok but Sara Moulton is the real deal...used to love her "Cooking Live" show on Food Network, now the shows they have don't seem genuine and are so rehearsed, miss those early years when everybody seemed so real and believable...
There’s a BIG reason you think they are fake- it’s your natural born intuition telling you something isn’t quite right. Many Vids on YT prove the science behind it- most females on TV, in Mags & Models are MTF or FTM (female to male & visa versa). So yes, plastic surgery (several) to give a more femme appearance ie: shaving down brow ridge & Adam’s apple. Notice how all Models have an Adam’s apple? Giana’s recipes are some of the best, and she’s one of my favorite chefs. I make my cakes from scratch and her chocolate frosting recipe is the best.

And some of the income required in order to pay that child support comes from her book sales. At Target this past week her latest is on display for $35, printed, of course, in China costing a dollar or so each. Leafing through, the book was nothing special. Destined for the clearance racks.
mrs111---Why would you even consider buying one of these so-called chefs' books? There is only one cookbook ANYONE needs to purchase: Larousse Gastronomique. In it, you will learn cuts of meat, use of spices and herbs, kitchen equipment, etc. Once you learn THAT, you can cook or bake ANYTHING without needing a bookcase full of tomes that are not worth the price on the jacket.
Because, um, I ENJOY both reading and collecting cookbooks in the same way others like novels, DIY, memoirs etc. I had NO intention of buying Giada's book--it was simply at eye level. I was however curious to know what would justify paying top dollar for the lowest cost of production in the world. Well, apparently nothing.

NONE of the Food Network so-called cooks are worth the pricey price of the drivel then pound out regularly. I would NEVER pay good money for a book written by someone who cannot cook or bake any better than I.
