If u didnt notice the fight between Nightwing and Damien, Nightwing was full of cuts, but Damien was unharmed. this just shows how much Dick held back and still won.

In the comics Nightwing is Damians favourite. The relationship between them is amazing. The Batman and Robin series by Grant Morrison that James Gunn is using as inspiration for his upcoming Brave and the Bold movie actually is a comic series where Dick Grayson becomes Batman and becomes his Robin
Sassy Alfred is always a highlight in these movies
In the comics, the Battle For the Cowl story is one of my favorite.
Batman "dies" so a bunch if people try to become the new Batman.
Near the conclusion, Dick becomes Batman with Damian as his Robin.
Its a wonderful reversal of roles where Batman is making quips and joking around while Robin is the serious and stoic one.

While this movie shows Damien as the reason Deathstroke has one eye, the comics tell it different. Deathstroke had a family before he was a mercenary. Due to the scientific experiment he went through to be a super soldier, Deathstroke got enhanced strength, agility, and a healing factor. However, his brain chemistry was altered, kinda driving him mad. His wife ended up shooting him in the eye, and Deathstroke survived, but his eye never grew back despite his healing factor.

There's been glimpses into an alternate world where Damian is Batman. In Earth 666 every Batmember is dead except for Damian. So he sold his soul to be immortal and protect Gotham in a super depressing and apocalyptic future. I've only seen it one time being briefly mentioned in a comic. But yeah it's usually not a good thing when someone else is wearing the Batsuit. Except for Batman Beyond and the Grant Morrison comic of Batman and Robin. That's the exception.
Lol i find another blaze channel in recommended and absolutely suprised he had a reaction movie which i'm so hype and have more reason to watch more. Keep it up blaze! Love to see more in both channel!

Nightwing was cut up because he was restraining while Damian was attacking. He wasn't trying to hurt Damian. In the Bat editorial office Bat family combat rankings Cass Cain is no1, Dick Grayson is no 2, Bruce is no 3 and Damian is no 4.

I love the relationship between dick and damien in most iterations including these ones. they epitomize the oldest brother, youngest brother relationship and i love seeing that grow. they fight a lot, have snarky remarks, and stuff like that but Damien clearly idolizes and looks up to both nightwing and batman even if he doesn't admit it out loud.

Nightwing is my favourite post robin and red hood is my second but damien is my favourite robin and i adore him in justice league vs the teen titans. There is a comic where damien is batman after bruce dies i think.
damien wayne is like, one of the main characters of the dcamu, so he shows up a lot and gets a lot of character development, you'll definitely be seeing more of him soon (also, most of the movies do post credits scenes once the universe really gets going)

No, that was just a continuity mistake that was retconed soon afterwards.

Yooo! Love this movie. They do a great job at adapting his story. Also I like that they streamlined the Batfamily to the ones we care about: Dick and Damian
There's a lot to criticise about this movie, and among them is the fact that for some reason it chose to have the unintentional story point of Damian's conception. Regarding the conception of Damian in the comics, that was only the case because the writer of the story Grant Morrison had based it on the Son of the Demon from 1987 that he admitted that he hadn't actually read and screwed up the details. In the Son of the Demon Bruce and Talia had consensual relations and Bruce and talks about in the story how he would like to be a father. Grant Morrison who wrote and created Damian Wayne in the late 2000's has said that he regrets not properly reading the previous story and the controversial way he suggested Damian was born and has since had a soft retcon and nobody talks about it anymore because it may as well has never been the case. For me, Talia is not a straight-up villain and she is more morally ambiguous and genuinely loves Batman however she is very loyal to her father and his mission despite not agreeing with his dystopic methods. I'm not a fan of the way Grant Morrison reintroduced Damian and thankfully that has been retconed to not have been that way. The problem that a lot of modern comics often face and characters is that the writers often fail to properly portray the characters and constantly have them make very stupid and out of character decisions.
I'm kind of tired of repeating myself on this point so I thank you for doing it so I don't have to. This really bugs me.
Believe it or not but having multiple writers for characters will not always get the same result, sadly.

Sad to see so much negativity, usually from the same people, in the comments of the DC Animated movies though. He's enjoying it, like many of us do, if you don't, just let it go and move on.
A lot of people really don't like Damian but I love him. He's an arrogant little a-hole and the thought of Batman having to deal with parenting that kind of son is hilarious to me. He does grow over time in the comics but there's a little backpedaling here and there which can be annoying at times.
If you're looking for something that's completely separated from any particular timeline. I highly recommend checking out "Justice League Gods And Monsters." A unique take on the Big 3 of DC.

Even though Damian is not my favourite Robin, and despite how much of a spoiled, bloodthirsty little s*** Damian can be, I still think he is one of the most interesting members of the family with a pretty good character arc in this universe. Damian is a unique character who desires to live up to his father's legacy and uphold his grandfather's wishes. But, internally/emotionally he questions what kind of man he wants to be when he learns there is so much more to this world that he never got the luxury to enjoy as a child and was taught to be a warrior. Much like Bruce, he and Dmaian were cheated out of their childhoods and never fully got to enjoy what it meant to live a fully happy life. I really like seeing Bruce try to be a good father as much as he can, even if he messes up with his other kids like Jason Todd and, to an extent, Dick since the two of them are on good terms.
I love Damian, PARTICULARLY because of these movies, this one specifically serves well as a good general adaptation of his origin.
The other Damian centered movies include Batman vs Robin (Theres a 1 minute prequel called Nightwing & Robin if you want some extra animation), Batman: Bad Blood (i don't like this for a character assassination that DC was pushing at this time), Justice League vs. Teen Titans, & Teen Titans: The Judas Contract. All of these take place one after another in that order, just after the Justice League: Throne of Atlantis kovie, so you'll have a feast of Damian content waiting for you. XD
Great reaction next up should be throne of Atlantis, and a comic series where Damian becomes batman is called dceased.
The new batman movies in the DCU is adapting the same story and it has so much potential to be PEAK cuz this is already PEAK
Great reaction! Yea there are stories that show possible futures for Damian. Batman #666 is one issue that shows a possible future. You should read grant Morrison’s batman run. It includes Damian’s introduction. It also shifts focus to Dick and Damian. Looking forward to the next DCAU reaction
I love Batman 666 but my favourite future is Batman 700. The introduction of Terry into the DC main comics canon. Damian saves and adopts baby Terry, training him to become the Batman

Damian taking out Slade was a liberty all animated movies take some liberties since it can’t really be a 💯 accurate for long runs but is still a nice adaptation they keep a core element of the stories there based on until the last ones that climax the running plot implemented to connect the movies.
A movie that you should watch is Justice League New Frontier. It's one of DC's best movies. It represents the Golden Age of comics really well.
I haven't seen it. But from the trailer I can tell it is a love letter to the silver age not the golden age. I ve also heard that the protagonists are Hal Jordan and Martian manhunter. That makes it obvious tbh

This movie is just set in this time period (the 50s) and i don't really think it actually represents the silver age. If it did then it would be full with campiness and outlandish concepts. It would be unwatchable by modern standards because nowadays we use different storytelling mode when it comes to the superhero genre. But im not sure though because i haven't watch it, i ve just read a review of the comic that this movie adapted. It is the cartoon "batman the brave and the bold" that is written with silver age style. Anyway i will watch this movie soon so that i will have a more grounded opinion on it.

nice reaction!! say, do you plan to read the comics at some point? there are really nice dc cartoons and movies, but most of them don't really reflect the plot in comics or a very good characterization (this one for example, although good, mess a lot with the actual damian introduction and almost nothing of it is canon in the main storyline)

Originally, Talia didn't drugged Batman in order to have Damian, it is a retcon that was made because Grant Morrison (the writer) confused a lot of the original details, personally, it just ruins Talia for me, because she was an amazing character who genuinely loved Bruce, personally, I try to ignore that retcon and just think of the original tale in which everything was consentual
I don’t know if anybody has told you about this, but there is a movie called Batman assault on Arkham and it actually takes place in the Arkham game universe about two years before Arkham asylum and while it’s not incredible, I think you should watch it

In my personal opinion, ignore what people say about this version of the characters. Yes it is very different than their real personalities and I wouldn’t recommend basing all your perception on them off these movies BUT if you look at these movies as a separate universe with independent characters it’s honestly really good and I like some of the versions of these characters a lot. These movies are how I got into DC and I think as long as you watch other things afterwards you’ll grow to have a better understanding and like them a lot more.
Damian is a really awesome character. He's supposed to be a character you love to hate. He's divisive and gets lots of hate yet since 2011 he's been the 2nd best selling Robin after Dick Grayson. Damian was such a breakout success that WB changed their policy on NO BIO KIDS FOR THE TRINITY [SUPERMAN, BATMAN AND WONDER WOMAN] IN MAIN COMICS CONTINUITY

While I do rly enjoy this movie, it commits the unforgivable sin of establishing that Tim and Jason never existed in this universe.
Also, while this isn’t the MOST accurate version of Deathstroke (this is the only version where damian has any real involvement with slade aside from being a part of the titans), he does perfectly capture the quality that Slade is at his core a loser who only beefs with kids.
These movies basically run on their own canon, they cut out a lot of comic lore. Not the best to learn about these charecters, but still an interesting series of movies that do a decent job of forming an original timeline that is based very lightly off the source material. I still love these animated ones tho

But I have Reasons to dislike this part of DCAMU:
- Make Damian TOO Powerfull
- Make Dick Dirty, he shouldn't have ended up that hurt against Damian (and other things that happen later)
- Make Dick be extremly against Damian when Dick himself Pick Damian to be Robin when he took the Batman Mantle in the comics
- Make Damian also annoyed by Dick when Damian loves him and is such a Tsundere towards him in the comics.
And I can't remember if there were other reasons since It been a while since I've seen the movies, but yeah, don't like the Nightwing Treatment in DCAMU.
Is also sad because for what I've seen/read and know, in particular the Dick-Damian brotherhood is so precious, but they barley do anything with them here 🥺

to answer your question partly the answer is i dont think he has been batman but nightwing has been batman and had damien as robin, 2 things about nightwing hes been SA twice in the dc comics once by mirage and tarantula bit dark ik but to brighten the mood nightwing is considered to be better than batman as he said so himself that he doesnt want nightwing to be batman he wants batman to be like nightwing in doing so nightwing beat bruce in hand to hand combat while neither one was holding back the writer said so
If Batman and Nightwing fought 10 times, Nightwing would win 3 times and Batman would win 7, so Dick getting defeated makes sense for someone like Batman who is on the god level, Your only concern is for Nightwing to defeat Batman, because Batman is the one who set the power standard for everything and made it impossible to reach.This is the real level of Nightwing, not what they exaggerated in the comics, and when DC realized their mistake and knew that Batman could not compete with him, they wrote Slade's line saying that Nightwing is overrated. I forgot the name of the movie, but you can be sure.
You really need to see Batman beyond return of the joker uncut, but you should probably watch some more Batman the animated series before you do. I believe there is another red hood movie where you can pick what happens

It's odd that Talia is like nah the Pit wont work to bring him back. he's dead....when in Under the Red Hood, Jason Todd was DEAD for a little while before he got put in the Pit and it brought him back....Talia was even there to see it! So why it doesn't work now is just odd.
In canon a body that's too messed up or dead too long can't be brought back. In the canon comics it wasn't Ra's who brought Jason back although Talia did put in the pit to heal him. Jason was brought by superboy Prime and he was only dead seconds.

This movie got Deathstroke SO wrong. First off, despite the fact that he has fought Batman in the past, he's NOT a Batman villain and is a Titans and primarily a Nightwing villain. And Thomas Gibson as the voice of Deathstroke was one of the worst castings decisions.

I don't believe he was a bad casting choice - they just went with bad voice direction for him. The infliction of his voice does not really fit Deathstroke.

Aside from doing an incredibly poor job of adapting the source material, this film also completely omitted the existence of the Robins between Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne (who is supposed to be the 5th Robin). Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown and other important numbers of the Bat Family are completely ignored in this universe which only lessened this version of Batman as a character.

For the record, this is a horrible interpretation of Slade. While he can work well as a Batman villain, this movie fails to deliver on it. And Slade really loses his eye to his wife in the comics (not to Damian 😂)

While Deathstroke isn't the greatest here, he does have much better showings later on after he gets a power-up kinda like his comic self (he was only human in this movie with no abilities or power-ups). No story spoilers, but there's a pretty good storyline with him in a later movie!
