    Not a bad video, but LAs preferentially target the alpha subunit sodium channel either in their activated or inactivated state due to the Na+ channel's conformational state. Continuous stimulation of Na+ channels leads to increased LA binding of the Na+ channel alpha subunit.

    About co-administration of Epinephrine - Epinephrine is never injected next to end arteries, such as: ears, nose, flingers, toes and penis
    It's important to know, I'm surprised you didn't mention that

      This is actually one of those medical scarecrows. This way of thinking seems to be a byproduct of observations over 60 years ago when cocaine and procaine were mixed with epi. Procaine is pretty acidotic and becomes more so with time. More contemporary evidence suggests the procaine and cocaine were the likely culprits, Thomson et al. 2006. In 2005, just over 10,000 cases of ear and nose surgery were assessed without any clear signal of epi associated necrosis. Hafner et al. 2005.
