Thank you for all your videos I learn a lot. Also I have a question. Can you tell me how Arterial tension effect the metabolism of an anesthetic drug. I really can't wrap my head around the relationship between the two.

But blocking alpha-2 receptors increases the release of norepinephrine As alpha-2 is present pre-synaptically and it inhibits the release of norepinephrine. So when alpha-2 is blocked Norepinephrine release is increased
What if I get hella high a lot can handle hella opioids but ion do em no more but took dissociatives everything would the local anesthesia not work? Or maybe a super high dose? I feel like it ain’t gonna hit me and hella ketamine too
Rather watch your videos than read the textbook. My pharmacology class is asynchronous and our professional doesn’t upload videos of her teaching or anything and we just read the book and I would read and still not know what’s going on since our book goes in depth for every single thing.
Please explain. If you open the two domain potassium channels causing potassium efflux shouldn't neuronal excitability increase because an action potential has less threshold to over come? I'm confused 😕
Potassium ions flowing out of the neuronal cell contribute to the accumulation of the negative charge in the interior of the cell. This leads to hyperpolarization and thus inhibition of action potentials due to increased stimulus that is now required to move the membrane potential to the action potential threshold. For more clarity check out my video about neuronal action potential.
