  • Today we are going to be teaching you how to check for lice. Head lice are visible in all stages of their life cycle. From nit or egg, to nymph to full grown louse, we will show you how to do a thorough head check of your child.
    A few tips...
    1. Divide the hair into four sections.
    2. With a nit comb (found below) comb a small piece of each section at a time. Use our mousse or some type of conditioner to make the combing process more comfortable.
    3. Hold the comb parallel to the scalp and comb the same section in all four directions.
    4. Slowly work your way through all four sections.
    5. Do a weekly head check.

    About THE LICE LADY:
    Being a mom of 6 kids, I have dealt with a lot coming through our household. So, I was not shocked when lice hit our home a few years ago. I was not fortunate enough to have access to professional lice treatment at that time, so I, like most people do, went to the store and bought all the lice removal products with the most convincing packaging in hopes that they would kick our infestation. What I did not know at the time was how much more money, time and effort I would be putting in to getting rid of these incredible bugs! From that point on I dedicated my life to helping others learn how to get rid of head lice. When I say that I can relate to the parents that come into my clinic, I truly can! I am so grateful to now have this breakthrough technology that can kill head lice and nits.

      mitchcraft when the white spots move easily on your head it’s dandruff but if it doesn’t then it’s eggs

    • @sharkitty
      @sharkitty 3 роки тому +1

      Eggs are usually glued to the hair strand. So if you run your thumb and pointer finger down the hair, and the white spot doesn't come loose, it's most likely an egg.

    I’m literally crying basically every night cuz I feel itching and tingling on my scalp, find white tear shaped things from my hair that has like a little strand attached to them and once I found a brownish one. When I’m telling my mother about it, she laughs in my face and says I don’t have lice and that I’m hallucinating and calls me dumb for it after ive asked her to check my scalp multiple times because she herself doesn’t bother to look for 5 minutes. I’m scared to go to school even and leave my hair open cuz I’m scared a lice will run on my neck all the time and ive tried to control my scam myself but it’s hard

      I'm sorry to hear this...Olive oil and any kind of oil is the quickest way to get rid of them. My mom swears on this and always uses it. Put in it your hair real good. They will slide right out and won't be able to live in there. Just keep combing them out. Comment back and let me know any updates sorry I know this has been a cpl of months.

      No. Nits do not reattach or get born, once separated from the hair shaft. If there were live bugs they’d be seen on the comb.

    Does olive oil work to kill lice and their eggs plz tell me

    • @tateisunapologeticallyinsa1229
      @tateisunapologeticallyinsa1229 4 роки тому

      No, it just drips down and doesn't really suffocate the bugs. Vaseline works better but you need to leave it in for days. Vaseline doesn't drip down and it is solid so it'll suffocate lice.

      Hey there, sorry you are dealing with this. I can totally relate. The best thing you can do if you are not by a clinic is to use a nit comb and comb your hair thoroughly for the next two weeks. Good luck!

      This is the strangest comment ever. Why are *you* (only a 10 year old) and your sister (only a 7 year old) trying to cure your head lice problem on your own? And for how long? TWO YEARS!!😮😱 Where are your parents? Why hasn't anyone taken you to see a specialist at this point? Do you go to school? Are you even allowed to go? All I got from your comment was a severe case of child neglect. Do you need to call someone? Also, I can see the comment is three years old, which means you are probably 13 now and your sister is 10, but still children. Are you girls okay now?
