During World War 2 nearly 200 Churchill MK IVs were fitted with the M3 75mm cannon off of disabled Shermans or salvaged by other means. These Churchills went on to see action in Italy and I think it is awesome that they are finally in the game. I love the American 75mm and it is fun to use on a Churchill!

We Need More Churchill Variants! Where is Churchill AVRE! Praise the sun!
I looked up a KV-5. IT IS TERRIFIYING!
Lots of them made... hopefully not a premium... Churchill AVRE belongs in the normal tree.
I have not checked, is the NA75 variant premium or normal tree?
Normal tree
95mm howitzer variant when
the sun!!! i praise sun!! [insert incoherent ranting to the sun here]
While I know the KV5 is a tank, it is also the name of an egyptian tomb, which I think would be a bit more scary to randomly come across in warthunder.
you're hilarious
I would pay good money for a kv-5 ,throw in a Egyptian decal of a pyramid and it’s a wonderful bundle. Instead of stalins fridge it’s stalins tomb
I just googled it I hope they never add that in pls giajin listen to our plea
@@battleranger1202 welcome to WoT
0:00 - The Lancaster just looks so cool. My favourite heavy bomber of the war.
Yeah, it is amazing, my favourite one, looks wise, however is the B29. Tho the Pe-8 is a pretty smooth looking thing.
@@whotf888 personally I love the B17
Mine is Yer-2. Bomber with seagull wings! But Lancaster is really royal, especially these long engines.
@@Tankz-zn9mj I personally prefer the b24
with a 5.4 ton bomb....
Yes.
Ah yes, the "we need more firepower in our Churchill's now, so let's wedge a Sherman's 75 into the turret" Churchill.
Well done, Bo and co!
it wasnt a question of upgrading firepower, rather they had tanks without guns and guns without tanks, so they tried it and it fit. not many were converted, since they were only doing it to get gunless tanks into the field.
the up gunning of the churchill was acheived by boring out the 6 pounder barrel to accept 75mm shells which is much cheaper.
The 75 definitely wasn't more firepower, IRL all that mattered was that you could penetrate the armor and the 6 pounder was able to penetrate more armor.
0:42 The thing is: it's quite hard to *not* see this comically oversized barrel landing a few meters away from you
Unless you’re zoomed in on a target and somehow don’t hear a comically large bomb landing behind you
More Churchill variants always makes me happy! Also glad to see the British 12k bomb make it into a video!
AVRES next. Give us the MK 1. 3 and 7 variants.
how long till they implement the other earthquake bomb, the 24,000lb "Grand Slam" bomb?
@bo time gaming
KV-5 ( Object 225) - A cancelled project for a super-heavy tank. Armament was to be a 107 mm ZiS-6 gun in a large turret and a machine gun in a small secondary turret. Weight was projected as about 100 tons, and the tank was to have 150-180 mm of armour.
Ain't no way you just tried to ping him💀
@@Guy.WhoAsked yep
It exists in both WoT games
you know he probaly played WoT?
Now the real question is, is it called Chirman or Sherchill?
Edit: wow 234 likes :D
I say Sherchill, rolls off the tongue easier
@@byarlantcustom4265 I say Sherchill because it's mainly a Churchill. If it were a Sherman with a Churchill turret or gun, then I'd say Cherman.
Both are identical
I would say sherchill
@@ShawnF6FHellcat Agreed. It's literately just the gun from a M4 Lend Lease Sherman. The mantlet is custom and the rest is pure Churchill.

I think they should add the KV-7 tank destroyer. They could even add one to the normal tech tree and one as a premium as there were two different variants. One variant carried two 76mm ZiS-5 guns and the other carried two 45mm Model 1932 guns with a single 76mm ZiS-5 gun mounted in between the two smaller guns.
Then you think wrong
@@k_balu-8104 nope, it existed. I read it in a book that it was an attempted prototype. Not sure if it was ever given a designation
@@waiyinlee645 Then re-add the Panther II and add the E100 to tech tree, right?
You're closing up to the 400k subscribers Bo, keep up the good work !!
Fate is seriously underrated as a teamplayer.
I wonder now which has more variants: The Churchill or the B2? Is there a B2 with an American 75? That would be fun! Almost as fun as this video was!
The answer for about any question regarding varieties is always T-34
A B2? Why would a stealth bomber have a 75mm gun?
That bomb flipping the t34 was beautiful
Yes! New video! I needed this today.. thank you guys 💜💜💜
That looks like a fun Churchill. No shot trap mantlet and HE filler? Yes please.
very nice. Interesting combination of gun and tank
Stick, you silly man
Fate, just keep trucking
Cheers to fate and stick
16:09
I dunno, but stick saying "Hi" sounds so cute lol
That Lancaster can manage a “Little Boy” I swear 🎇 maybe 2 🎇🎇
Thank you Stick and Fate for helping with this video! You were both amazing!!
Hey bo you should try the Char 2C.
Always good seeing Wyvern gameplay! Plus that Lancaster bomb is ridiculous!
Love the Churchill wish they would add the mortar variant as that would be fun. Love the video hope y'all had a blast.
This was actually done in the field to replace the 2-pounder that was still being put on the Churchill. They literally took the turrets of destroyed Sherman!
Yep. Salvaged the main gun from wrecked Shermans during the Italian campaign
They then discovered that the Churchill chassis was a better firing platform for it, meaning the gun could hit targets from farther away. And as an added bonus, it could actually penetrate enemy armor!
IVE MADE IT
IM IN THE BIG SCREEN
IM THE GERMAN KV1 IN 21:40
LOVE THE CONTENT AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BO
I was the T34 with bo in that part...damn thicc kv1 C XD
@@OneStrangeDeer lmao
Hey man good fight tho 🤝
Not really much you could've done but still xddd
apart from the KV-220 none of the "scariest" KV variants (KV-3, KV-4, KV-5) were built, but a KV with 90mm of armor and a 76mm F-32 cannon was built as the Objkt 150/T-150
after that almost all variants were based on either the KV-1 or KV-1S chassis mounting all kinds of guns (76mm, 85mm, 100mm, 122mm), including something similar to the SU-122's howitzer, the one exception being the KV-13 which was a medium tank developed from the KV-1
there are also flamethrower and self-propelled gun variants (both artillery and anti-tank)
I love the rock on the concept 3 when you shoot it
Love your videos and the guys humor
The Pe-8, Lancaster, and He-111are now the big 3
15 mins, 1,000 views
U got a great community here Bo
1:03 casually having World of Tanks flash backs
Yay new BO Content! Thanks for that much content! Time to get my Popcorn
Amazing sherchill game play
Awseome vid, best opening ever. Lancaster casts boom tube 12k
nice flying Stickboy 7:00
11:00 - I thought Stickboy’s catchphrase was “uh-oh! I missed!” 😹
"Tomb KV5 is a subterranean, rock-cut tomb in the Valley of the Kings. It belonged to the sons of Ramesses II." it shoots evil eye and curses, do NOT mess with it.
Can't wait to see them play the new Char 2c
Now this is an interesting addition! I didn't know this one was coming! Finally another Brit tank with good amo!
Great video Bo! That 12000lbs bomb is... impressive... to say the least lol
Cool 😎 but pretty funny to see a British tank with an American gun in the British tree but USA has an m60 with a British 165m British cannon lol
about time the british tree got some ballistic capped shells
Damn, I forgot they added this, gotta grind it out after I finish researching the new T1
That perfect bomb at the very end, though!
This is basically a Churchill with aphe
Because its literally is one, obviously
No shit
the KV-5 would be terrifying, if not for the weak gun and the 2 huge R2 Unit Targets on the front hull
Bo Time Yes!
This is quality content
Dirk Stugler in Tank Boogie Nights.
Dude Fate's comms were insane
Watching your vids hav convinced me to redownload war thunder im lvl 3 so this should be easy 😆
It's a British tank with explosive shells I'm happy with that if nothing else!
I gotta agree, KV-5 would be horrifying
i don't think i've seen bo play the J1N1 or some other heavy japanese fighters, the ki-45 tei is actually pretty good for dealing with light armor and open tops, and it rips through planes
It's the bad Churchill gun on the bad Churchill chassis
Cool!
This is the crew I wish I had
9:44 stickboy scene
now i wish they added the kv-5 i googled it and it looks scary
The new low tier nuke!
Fate sounds like Morty when he's panicking
Good lord... They added the Tallboy? That's awesome.
That's exactly what I was thinking.
That was a 12,000 lb version of the 'HC' High Capacity (more explosive than the earlier 'GP' or General Purpose) bombs designed after WWII began.
The HC was originally a simple 4,000 lb tube-shaped bomb with flat ends, which was developed into an 8,000 lb HC 'Cookie' (by bolting two together); which, plus a tail unit, was enlarged to become the 12,000 lb HC.
They had flat noses and the first ones fell tumbling, with triple fuses in the nose to explode on impact with buildings and demolish them with (mostly) blast effects.
Later they gained tail units to make them fall with the incendiaries, and open up buildings which the incendiaries would then set on fire. Some were given delay fuses to keep the firemen guessing and allow the city to burn.
The Tallboy was a streamlined ground-penetrating bomb of 12,000 lbs weight, with less explosive and more casing, to penetrate targets and demolish them with an earthquake effect, these led to the 22,000 lb 'Grand Slam' bombs, and later the US AZON and TARZON guided demolition bombs, some of which were used in Korea against pin-point targets like large bridges.
My favorite Churchill is the mk7, best armor that hardly anything at the br can pen
Gotta love american british by ride during WW2. American tank chassis with powerful british gun and a heavy british tank chassis with american gun. Not too ention planes. So many cool hybrids during that time.
finally saw a Lancaster on this channel. Only took two years of asking
If only my random squadmates we're half as enthusiastic about marking enemies, I'd probably already have half of a tech tree unlocked.
It's Cherman the Mobile Pillbox.
Would love to see you guys use the Ja37. But there has to be at least 2 air to air collision crashes, friendly or not.
I'd cry in fear if they add the kv-6
I’ve never seen this Churchill before, or is it a Sherman? I’ll have to add it to both lists of weird Shermans and Churchill
I had the pleasure of getting killed with one of those 12,000 lb bombs yesterday. Cant wait to unlock mine.
That ammo is the meow’s cat
I looked up what a kv5 is and yeah it's a pretty fucking spooky tank
Why can't you play like you did in this first game every game? Fantastic teamwork and comms.
There’s a new Chillrif in town…
Kv5 is a scary tank
Churchill with APHE now that's scary
0:55 what if kv-6 B)
CHURCH
That's what 4500kgs of Torpex does to somebody. They used those bombs to dislodge the Tirpitz from an artificial sandbar, so a tiger has no chance lol
Looked up KV-5 when told to.....I am now frightened....
Kv5 would be a scary in the game. Idk if they have it but they should have a prototype/blueprint/ fun tank mode.
The scary thing about the KV-5 in Warthunder would be that it wouldn't share the weak point of the WoT KV5.
What nation should be added next?
You should try the F4C Phantom, pls
HOLY HELL IF THEY ADD THE KV-5
lancster having abomb with the payload of the talboy bomb and now biggest bomb in the game is evil and great :3
Technical more payload than the Tallboy (at least in terms of HE content), given the bomb in question is a thin-walled High Capacity bomb whereas the Tallboy was thick-walled Deep Penetration Bomb (for some also classified as a Medium Capacity Bomb).
Just double checked OP 1665, the Bomb, High Capacity, 12,000lb, Sectional Mk II contains 8,040lb of Amatex 9 or 8,760lb of Torpex 2, whereas Bomb, Deep Penetration, 12,000lb l, Mk I "Tallboy has 5,200lb of Torpex surmounted by a 1-inch thick topping of TNT.
I kinda disappointed with British WW2 Tank like the Churchill. Well the AVRE Petard Mortar is Devastating but their at least put more Powerful Main Cannon to Counter the German Panzer-IV & Tiger-I & IIs. At least the US managed the build countermeasure like the M-26 Pershing with it's 90mm Cannon
I love how the Lancaster gets a 12000lb bomb that isn't the Tallboy.
Not complaining per se, just interesting to me.
When your engineers end up with a bunch of broken Sherman's and get bored and glue a American gun and mantlet to a British mobile pillbox
When will I see a Video of you flying the A4B or E so I know what to do with it?
He should have looked up the KV-4 instead the thing is a Su-152 with a Kv-1 turret it carries the Zis-6 and a 75mm cannon as well as 45mm 20-K guns plus a flame thrower in addition to the main gun. The crew was 9 men HaHa and that Char 2C had a lot of crew but that's weak armor so imagine a Kv-4
Starting the vid off with 12k pounds of fun!
having a corner and not side-scrapping is a sin!..
@Bo Could you do the Warrior, please?
Hey, that poor t34 in the end was me. I tried best i could agianst that kv1 C...but he was too thicc
Just what ground forces needed, another mega bomb.
Notice @19:20, you're in Cap A, but also showing up on their spawn radar, judging by the red around their spawn, same thing happens when you're in C. Gaijin broke more than just introducing "stealth arty" it seems.
This tanks anthem is- drumroll pls- rule amehericaaah, amehericaaah rules the waves amehericaaahns shall never be slaves.
“Edit”, for anyone that doesn’t know or understand that’s the British national anthem with the team America song.
Please play the F9F!!
Good thing that tank isn't very fast you wouldn't want it to o outrun the infantry
Churchman
