    Still bringing it after all these years with arguably the most consistently good show in Australian music

    I love The Living End. I think they're super-talented and should be way bigger than they are. They aren't like anything I've heard, even in the whole "Rockabilly" category. Also, they're great to their fans!

  • @Sabbz22
    @Sabbz22 16 років тому +8

    I like both bands tons, but you can't say Chris isn't much better than Billie. Chris is a freakin' amazing guitarist, probably the best in punk-rock / rockabilly music.

    one reason why the living end has not become a international smash is because they wont make major labels rich, its the industry that will kill off amazingly talented bands just like the living end. i love em

    It's all around me and I just don't understand
    Seems all out of place now
    And I know it's late
    But you know what they say now
    We're under attack now
    Our work is all cut out
    Whatever happened to your rights?
    And I know it's late
    But you know what they say now
    So where's the writing on the wall
    Who's gonna save us?
    Who's gonna provide us?
    Who's gonna divide us?
    Who's gonna save us
    We're under powered now
    Trial devoured now
    Step aside and make way for the new leader
    And it's getting late
    But you know what the say now
    It's all around me and I just don't understand
    Seems all out of place now
    And I know it's late
    But you know what they say now
    It's all around me and I just don't understand
    Seems all out of place now
    And I know it's late
    But you know what they say now
    Looking for the writing on the wall
    Who's gonna save us?
    Who's gonna provide us?
    Who's gonna divide us?
    Who's gonna save us?

    You know what mate... I used to think the same. When I first got 'American Idiot' I listened to it once then cast it aside. It wasn't until last year that I gave it another chance and realised it is a brilliant album. Sure it doesn't sound like the Green Day of old, but the songs are still amazing. I let go of the whole punk ethos/sell out thing and found it liberating. Give it a try bruvs.

  • @Molgoatkirby
    @Molgoatkirby 15 років тому

    actually there's 12 notes on a guitar in 3 or 4 different octaves totaling 45 different notes. plus when you play the same note on a different string but still same octave it has a different sound. Also if you count all combination of notes up to 4 note chords that is 45 + 45^2 + 45^3 + 45^4 = 4,193,820. There's harmonics, tap and pinch harmonics, bends, slides, hitting the actual wood of the guitar, hammer-ons, pull-offs, finger tapping, electric guitar distortion and stuff like that.

  • @jamstrat
    @jamstrat 17 років тому

    hardly, they already had 2 albums out before they even did their first tour with green day, if anything green day just brought em to the U.S.

  • @uraniumdeath
    @uraniumdeath 18 років тому +1

    The only reason Green Day got recognition was due to calling their album, "American Idiot" as well as the song. It's political. Politics always gets a reaction.
    But the fact remains that most people only know 4 Green Day songs (which are all singles mind you) and many suck.

    why is there an argument over selling out instead of enjoying the music, there is far more blatant sell outs anyways such as Rn B and Pop music.

  • @stinsgrunter
    @stinsgrunter 17 років тому

    greenday r good but as far as their music and tallent goes the living end kill greenday, greenday just sell more records and get more fans bcoz they r on a bigger lable and advertise more

  • @Luka38

    why can u people even compare gay day to living end, Living end have soooooo much more talent in any perspective. gay day are just a band that got their fame from mainstream media, unlike living end who fought all the way to the top, trough the underground music scene!

  • @beleloy808

  • @marthinhemsbridge1410

    i'm not saying that he's a bad bassist, just the sound itself sounds like hes plucking the strings to hard, and its a bit late to say 'don't you dare' seeing as ive already said it, plus the fact that the upright bass ties all their music together doesnt entail it sounds nice

  • @randomcro24

    I stated my opinion and you don't have to agree. To abuse me for it is ridiculous. I suggest you grow up and accept that not everybody will agree with your viewpoint in life. Move on.

  • @greenday75rocks
    @greenday75rocks 16 років тому

    I like both green day and the living but it is very hard to compare them in my opinion they both have the same skill, chris chenny is a better guitar player but not by much, if you listen to old school green day theres some sweet guitar solos, and billy is a better singer. Scott and mike both play different types of bases and are both good at what they do but scotts probly better cuz double bass is harder to play and tre cool is way better then Andy.
