    Wonderful smooth finish!
    My concrete cracks after drying and is crumbly- your mix looks quite wet so have you come across this? Also, do you ever use rapid set cement? Thanks~

    • @ThePeterZaytsev
      @ThePeterZaytsev  2 роки тому +1

      I use only portland cement, without sand, it has little cracks after drying but it doesn't bother me. I don't know what rapid set cement is. Sorry.

    Is there a specific reason to include white cement? Additionally, what would happen if the holes weren't filled?

    • @ThePeterZaytsev
      @ThePeterZaytsev  3 роки тому +3

      I add white cement because if there is only regular cement than the repaired holes will be darker. You definitely can leave holes as they are. It is only question of aesthetics.

      Fiber - no, sand - yes many times, but with sand it is harder to correct final sculpture.

    The silicone seems to be the weakest part of the process. How many castings do you get out it?

    Здравствуйте, Пётр. Какие у вас пропорции для заполнения дефектов и обязательно использовать белый цемент? Ещё интересует сколько времени должно пройти, перед тем как покрыть лаком?

    • @ThePeterZaytsev
      @ThePeterZaytsev  3 роки тому +2

      Добрый день. Если не добавлять белый цемент, замазка получается слишком темная, темнее чем сама скульптура. Пропорции на глаз - в ПВА добавлять цемент понемногу и перемешивать, пока состав не получится густым - так чтобы не тёк. Лаком покрываю обычно на следующий день. То есть часов 12-15 жду.
