I work in regulatory compliance and am considering moving to Trier. Someone who has worked in Luxembourg and still lives in Trier mentioned that he was not double-taxed due to agreements between Germany and Luxembourg to prevent this.
Why is Total your preferred gas station? I have had serious troubles with my engine and the dealer told me the fuel contained a lot of waste. That was after a Total station in France. Shell and Aral are more reliable.
hello bro, thank you, u r such an amazing person for sharing such info to help unknown people, u r a person of humanity, may god bless u bro, appreciate it. 👌👍🙏🎇🎆
You should buy a house in belgian wallonia and work in Luxembourg. In wallonia house prices are very cheap, considering from where i live is 10times more expensive than Wallonië
@@popcorn5866generally yes but the area close to Luxembourg (except Aubange, Messancy) is pretty nice where double Lux earners with kids live in huge villas and drive in big cars. Indeed “with kids” makes you rich in Luxembourg with 1. Tax breaks and 2. Family Allowance (almost 1k/month if you have 3 kids).
Hi Sir, am planning to relocate to Luxembourg next year on avisitor visa but finding accommodation is quite difficult for me currently leaving n working in United Arab Emirates
@@T.Vercetti1951 If the car doesn’t have any registration the cost is around 600-800€ depending on the brand, HP etc. If the car has foreign registration and you want to add Lux one again depending in the model 250-450€ with assurance, tech inspection and number.
The general allowance for Luxembourg is 2 days per week. For Germany is 34 days per year. If you want to work more days from home you will need to pay double tax. One in Lux and one in Germany.
Thank you for sharing this video. I just obtain a job in Luxembourg and it is under process. I want to know if my spouse can accompany me and on which visa. To note that it is for third country nationals.
I hope someone will answer since Google couldn't, thanks in advance! Here is the thing, taxes can vary up to 50% of the income but my question is whether renters pay taxes or everything is paid by the owner. On the other hand, according to Google a house owner pays around €150 averagely, which I am sure is nowhere near close to 30 or even 20% of the income. So, which one is true? My 3rd question is if the renter pays electricity, water etc. Also, are EU citizens allowed to register more than once? For example, you have to inform Luxembourg when moving there but let's say something happens and you have to move again and one day after what has happened you decide to return to Luxembourg, is that possible? How is the disposable income 5716 but the average salary 4000?
Hello. Taxes can go up to 50% only if you’re earning more than the maximum threshold a.k.a more than 11500€\month gross (if I remember correctly) and if you earn that you can afford a tax consultant to help you avoid paying taxes ;) Second: Communal taxes are paid by the renter. Its usually for the garbage 40-150€ every 4 months depending on the property you rent. Third: Depending on the rental contract your utilities can be included in the rent price or excluded. If excluded you pay them by yourself on top of the rent. Four: You can reregister again as long as you have a valid reason to do so. Average salary is 4000€ gross, not 5k+ which means around +-3k net. Good luck!
Hi, very cool and informative video! Just received an offer to Luxembourg City and considering moving there for work, coincidentaly from Bulgaria :) Since you have hands on living experience there, is 3500 euro net enough for a single person?
hello claudiu, sadly living in luxembourg is very expensiv. if u ok living outside luxembourg city center u must count 1200- 1500 only for housing! the rest is not that expensiv.
Hello I’ve been trying for months now to find a job in Luxembourg but It’s like they have shut the outside world out. Are there careers in teaching, childcare and tutoring? Or skilled workers like tailors. Those are the jobs I do
Hello, unfortunately because of the very small market for such jobs, only the locals are hired. Unless you are here present, know Luxembourgish+French and your background experience is excellent I don’t think you will be able to find such position from abroad :/ Teachers are usually hired directly after graduating and childcare you must join a special “club” with certified personnel. Google Luxembourg childcare association for more info. Good luck!
Hello. Thanks for the video. I work in the finance field in Portugal and I think about trying to get a job in Lux. Do you think learning French will help me? Are they used to hiring from another countries in specific finance fields or is it that hard? Thanks
Hello, sorry for the late reply. Lux has a very big Portuguese community so French is not mandatory for you. English + Portuguese is enough. Just make sure to do your own research for the salary you should ask for, don’t think that lower salary would be better as long as you’re here because you will find out very soon it’s not enough for the standard. If you’re in finance start with 50k/annually and nothing less. Good luck!
Hello can eu citizen start working without first getting a SN number or you have to wait and get register b4 start job, and can i use hostel address to register. thanks
If you're a EU citizen and have a valid ID/Passport you can start working and then register within the first 3 months of your arrival. However you will need a permanent address to register.
Thank you for the info, hoping to move there one day with my family, am a nurse from Nigeria, do I have a chance of getting job there as I can only speak English fluently out of 4administrative languages
Hello. Unfortunately in your field of business I don't think you will have a chance here. If you have knowledge and experience in finance you can work just fine with only English. However if you want a career as a nurse (public sector) French+ Luxembourgish or German are mandatory. Good luck!
People move to Lux to improve their financial situation but please think twice. Entry level salaries are high but executive pay is relatively low compared to neighbouring countries and taxes for high-earning singles are extremely high. Come married, otherwise the Lux taxman will ruin your plans and frustrate you. Lux is a paradise for married couples of civil servants with kids. Not talking about weather, lack of entertainment and high rents which everyone knows.
And question pls.: For EU citizens they can apply for residency and citizenship right away, or just for citizenship, you must usually wait up to 5 years?
Is it boring?I am living with a banking management position 😅but I am scared to get bored cuz I am an extrovert and I am single...plus I am christian....how is dating?
Its very boring, and dating is terrible. Basically people don’t put much effort in relationships because everyone know they are just temporary here so nothing lasts. Plus you have all those “emotionally unavailable Amazon workers” all over apps like tinder. Lux is small so be prepared to be with someone who slept with half the city. My advice is to find a partner outside of Lux and move together. If you come here alone first you will be depressed af, second don’t expect to find love. Good luck!
Hello sir, I’m planning on coming to Luxembourg to study in the University of Luxembourg, please where is the best place to look for accommodation that will be very affordable. And what type of job can a student do while studying.
Hello, sorry for the late reply. I would advise you to look for accommodation near the university villages\cities. As a student however the only job you might be able to get is a low paid sales assistant in a mall or cashier in the local supermarket. Good luck!
Hello, usually in the range of €70k-90k per year for a manager position. If they offer you less, they’re just taking advantage of you as a cheap worker.
The average working hours are from 09:00-18:00 however many companies expect you to come early and stay longer for free. Plus the traffic before and after work is horrible so add +1h per direction and you end with a 12-13h working day..
Your Tax card will be send via post to your registered address, but if you’re living outside of Luxembourg your employer will get it instead. Check with them in a few weeks.
Very Good and informative video. I am getting 6666 Euro Inclusive Taxes. Is it good to survive in LUX with my wife and 4 years kid who goes to school? Please advise.
Hi, sorry for getting back to you so late. €6666 is a very good salary for a family in Luxembourg. You will also benefit from taxes as they will be reduced due to being married and having a child. You can use the calculator in the bio to check exactly how much your NET salary will be. As long as you find a place to live with a rent below €2000 you will have plenty of money left. Hope this helps!
