      Thanks for this Chaka. I was unnaware of this. Youre both right, they do make it seem one can be df'd for voting. I left some time ago, partly over a case of unreported child molestation in cambridge granta which i reported to the police myself. For those that think the org always reports CSA now, i personally know they often do not, if they ever do. I liked your first vid with Lloyd Evans and it made me angry to see the elders form that was shown. Id be happy to relate my experience about non reported CSA from last year if you ever needed.

    Watchtower is the king of division. At 13 years old I met a girl who was a JW. We were in separatable until we graduated. Her mother guilt tripped her into not marrying me and marrying a JW she barely knew. Her mother told me “I was not one of them, her daughter is with someone else now, and it would be best not to contact her anymore”. He treated her like a slave and had no respect for her. She spent 24 miserable years with him. After 24 years of knowing nothing about her I had to find out about her. Long story short she divorced him, and we got married, having had 23 wonderful years together. Her mother passed away 3 years before we got back together. Love wins. Watchtower thrives on division by brainwashing their followers that that are better than everyone else.

      Confirmation bias at its best. A delegate of a foreign government cannot show loyalty another government without being accused of treason which is punishable by death. God's word is clear. True Christians have nothing to do with the world or its politics. (John 17:14) I have given your word to them, but the world has hated them, because they are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world.
      Christians who feel they have to be loyal and support a foreign government will suffer the consequences. (Daniel 2:44) “In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever"

    The Watchtower of 1999 hasn't chance what they teach to the members all the tme. So you can also read in the Watchtower of 15.05.1964 that in some circumstances JW could go to the polls.
    Page 308 says: "Even in certain democracies the law makes it compulsory for the citizens to go to the election places. In no country do Jehovah’s witnesses take part in politics. They are not of this world. (John 17:14) Therefore they do not take part in voting at elections. They do not compromise their neutral standing in matters of politics, however, if they go to the polls and make the ballot void in some manner, either by crossing it out or by putting down, for example, the words “For God’s Kingdom.” That is telling what he is for. By doing this their ballot will become void; it will not count in the election of a man. They have complied with the law and gone to the polls and likely avoided punishment."

    • @ronhansen8471
      @ronhansen8471 3 місяці тому

      Might want to tell the whole story. It is not ok to vote but it is necessary to obey the law in some countries that does not mean God's people vote for men. Here is what the May 15 WT article said. "To mature Christians, the question of what attitude should be taken in the matter of political elections presents no issue. In totalitarian countries oftentimes people are forced by law to go to the election polls and sometimes persons are even picked up at home and brought to the polls. Even in certain democracies the law makes it compulsory for the citizens to go to the election places. They have complied with the law and gone to the polls and likely avoided punishment. Remember Jesus’ counsel: “Look! I am sending you forth as sheep amidst wolves; therefore prove yourselves cautious as serpents and yet innocent as doves.” (Matt. 10:16"

    Non JW here. I do believe that you are responsible in part for the actions of the persons you voted into office. At least as far as you could expect these things at a time of voting.
    However, not voting does not absolve you of that responsibility. Instead, if you do not vote, it is equivalent to supporting the winner of the election, whoever it may be.
    Therefore, I believe that you should make your own conscientious decision about who you are voting for or not. Sometimes all you can do is to pick the lesser evil ,and that is fine.

      I respectfully disagree with you here. Your vote does not matter. It’s an illusion of choice. Red vs Blue no matter who is just another cult. Set in place to distract and divide us all. So when you choose not to vote, what it’s saying is you won’t go along with the shenanigans of political theater. It does not mean you are responsible for the fake winner. If every person woke up from the illusion of politics and chose not to vote, the establishment would still put another puppet they want in place anyhow. It doesn’t matter. The entire system is rigged.

    Does a government official work for a foreign government? Not if they want to live. Christians are members of God's government and would never defect for any reason. (1 John 2:15 ) "Do not love either the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him" Satan the Devil and his demons are spoken of as “the ruler of this world” (Joh 12:31; 14:30; Eph 2:2) All the governments on this planet are under Satan's power is indicated by his offering them to Jesus Christ at the price of an act of worship. Sorry, but I think this time you both misunderstood this matter. Why did you look for "Apostasy" (That's a religious matter)?
    But voting isn't religious. Why didn't you look for "voting" or "neutral" "or "no part of the world"? I am kind of disappointed now.
    I translate this passage from the German Shepherd book into English, because I don't have the english one. Page 140:
    "Jehovah's Witnesses remain neutral in the political and military affairs of the nations. [...] Since true Christians devoted to God are ‘no part of the world’, a member of the congregation who continues to violate Christian neutrality and does not repent leaves the fellowship of the neutral Christian congregation through his behaviour." That means he isn't removed, that's true, but he dissociate himself.
    There is the "personal conscience" and then there is additionally the "Bible based conscience" (meaning a conscience conditioned by Watchtower).
