I used some of my favorite hair from Outre to create these long and beautiful jumbo twists. This look took 2 1/2 hours total (including sectioning my own hair) and is very 4b/4c friendly! Absolutely no gel or edge control is needed - though you can definitely use it to conceal the ends of your hair if you'd like. I hope this tutorial is helpful! Edit: Do the rubber bands cause breakage for you?
@@othrrm8722 Yeah, I'm going to have to pass on this style unfortunately. A couple days after I wrote the comment above, I woke up in the middle of the night and started removing pieces from the center of my head to decrease the weight because it was straining my neck as I slept.

I’m going to try it this week…I’ve been looking for a very natural 4C-centric protective hairstyle with length as I’m on a continuing growth and healthy hair journey! I love the hair that you used because it’s such a natural pattern and a dull sheen to it that’s absolutely gorgeous! I love the non shiny hair. It looks beautiful and natural. I wear Zuri Afro curl 8-9-10 and I always get compliments on my hair. No one detects that it’s crochet hair!

I loooooove it, Sis! You resemble a beautiful black African Queen! Your jumbo twists are absolutely beautiful! Thick, lush, airy and very light in weight! I love how your jumbo locs are loose at the roots and not super tight; and your edges are natural! I can't stand to have my hair pulled tightly, especially at the roots! I've seen some ladies add too much synthetic hair to their natural hair to get the same size of your jumbo twists. You've proved that's not necessary. I'm about to install jumbo twists and leave them in for two months. I will be using your technique to install them. Thanks so much for sharing this video with us. :-)

Maybe I missed it but why do u add the extra hair in? For length and thickness?
😭💗💗 thank you so much!! I add the hair strictly for length! So you can follow that step if you want a length similar to mine. And depending on how long you want your twists you just need to manipulate when you add the extra hair. For example, deciding if you’ll twist half way down and then add the extra piece or twist 3/4 of the way down and then add. Totally up to you!

When you added the Marley hair to your hair did you use both the strands and fold them to make the hair longer and added a third to the ends of the twist ?? Or just one strand and added the second one to the end of the twist???
It looks like she took two strands out the pack and put the ends together at the intersection at her scalp. Then she added a third strand, folded in half, at the bottom of the twist after she twisted a little more than halfway down with the first two strands. I hope that helps and makes sense! Trying this style myself tonight ♥️
